Jay-jay's POV
I thought Yuri was going to die. I thought she wouldn't stand up. I thought she would be gone from me----us. "Don't cry... Sorry if I scared you." Yuri said while wiping my tears. Even though the ï¬ght was over, I was still crying. I couldn't help it. I was putting medicine on her wound. I ignored what she was saying. "I heard you. Your screaming, your talking and your calling my name." She said and forced a smile. I looked at her for a moment and went back to what I was doing. I almost fainted from screaming and my palm hurt from hitting where I was just to get her to notice me. Luckily, she managed to avoid her opponent's last kick. She recovered and immediately retaliated. She aimed or the wound and immediately punched him. The other one surrendered willingly. His body was still big so he couldn't handle what Yuri did. "Jay... Are you mad at me?" He asked. I ignored him. I was annoyed, my fear was still there. I couldn't believe Yuri was doing that before. "Yuri... Keifer is calling me. It's like he's looking for us." Drew said. I could feel his fear and worry. He would be furious with Keifer if he found out what he was doing. "I'm done..." I said and put away the ï¬rst aid kit that Tiger had lent me. Yuri grabbed my hand, stopping me from standing up. "S-sorry..." He said. I withdrew my hand and walked to the table to put the ï¬rst aid kit down. I looked at Drew who was facing his phone. I felt extremely annoyed and my hand suddenly went up to slap him. "Ouch! What's that for?!" He said while holding his head. "Next time you gamble, I'll shave your head!" I threatened him. "Sorry... I can't stand it, it's addictive." He justiï¬ed it. I was even more annoyed by his answer so I gave him another slap. "Ouch! Why again?!" He complained. "I'm annoyed!" I replied and was about to slap him again but a hand grabbed me. When I looked up, I didn't know whether to be even more annoyed or pitying. Yuri's eyes were talking to me again. "I know you're angry with me." He said. Good thing you know! I was surprised when he suddenly hugged me. I sank into his chest. My body stiffened again. "Y-yuri..." "I'm sorry... I promise I won't do this again. I won't come back to this place if I don't have to." He whispered to me. My hand moved spontaneously to hug him too. I'll admit, my fear from the ï¬ght that happened still hadn't gone away but my annoyance and anger had disappeared. Until I realized something. "Y-yuri... B-maybe you could let go." I said and he immediately did. Because she didn't have any clothes on. I was still on top of her. "Is there something wrong with you?" Drew suddenly asked, causing Yuri to blush and I looked at her with a bad look. Yuri walked over to get her clothes and get dressed. "I still owe you an explanation." She said. That's all, but I understand. Should I ask for her explanation? I didn't say anything to let her go. Drew went out for a moment and said goodbye to go to the office. We were back in Tiger's office. We were the only ones here because he had something to talk to. "I don't know where to start..." Yuri said and took a deep breath. "...Maybe when Ella didn't choose me." She forced a smile at me. I returned it to make her feel comfortable . "Keifer and I almost confessed to Ella at the same time. Right from the start, I felt like he thought of Keifer as special but he treated me more than a friend. I hoped I shouldn't have..." "...Keifer is selï¬sh when it comes to women. He fenced Ella in and made sure she would be his. I didn't give up, I thought maybe I could be the only one. But he chose Keifer..." "...I just accepted it. It hurt but that's how it is. Then I found myself wasted. I think I challenged everyone I met to a ï¬ght..." He laughed bitterly. "...I don't know how but my feet brought me to this place on my own . We got into a ï¬ght and they saw me with Tiger outside..." "...They keep asking questions that---honestly---i don't know the answer. I talked about getting into a ï¬ght. Of course they didn't want to, they said I was still young but that's what I wanted. So I fought one of Tiger's underdogs. I won so he agreed." "That's why you hung around that place?" I asked. He nodded in conï¬rmation. "The more ï¬ghts I encountered, the more I became addicted to it. The pain of physical ï¬ghts was what I used to cover up this pain..." He pointed to his heart. "...no one can stop me. I've entered all kinds of ï¬ghts. But my favorite is the one with the knife. I just make a move, I'm dead and all the pain will go away." He said, Ella and I didn't have any more but somehow I still felt that he was hurting. And I didn't want to feel that. "W-why did you stop?" He took a deep breath and bowed. "Keifer... He brought me here." "Did he talk to you?" He shook his head. "He fought me... It was just a ï¬stï¬ght and he knocked me down in less than two minutes." I fell silent. Keifer's way was also strange. He was a double- wielding snake. "...He didn't say anything but I stopped on my own after that. I went back to school and tried to ï¬x everything." "How did you and Keifer become okay?" All of those are just superï¬cial, they can't erase me." He was bragging. Suddenly the door opened. We thought it was Drew but it was Tiger. His eyebrows met and he was clearly irritable. "I'm not happy!" He said while circling in front of us. Drew arrived and was clearly confused by what was happening. He looked at us as if asking 'What's wrong?'. I just shrugged. "One more ï¬ght..." He said and looked at Yuri. "...One more ï¬ght and I'll send you away." I immediately grabbed Yuri's arm. I didn't want him to ï¬ght anymore, the one before was enough. "I-I don't want to... We're just talking about one thing." Yuri replied. "No... No... No... I want another ï¬ght. I want you to ï¬ght again..." He thought for a moment. "...That's right! Fight Keifer! Continue your ï¬ght from before!" He was going crazy! "Tiger... It's not that easy!" Yuri replied annoyed. "But we'll just ï¬ght Keifer!" Tiger seemed to be out of his mind. He was just saying something . "That's easy! Get Keifer here! Now! Because if not!" He said annoyed and suddenly pulled out a gun. My whole body stiffened. I was about to die, I felt like I was going to die before the trigger could even be pulled. I guess that's what happens when a gun is pointed at your head. "Keifer! Now!" He shouted. I couldn't breathe. My hand was shaking while it was raised, as if I was giving up. I was really giving up, I had no match for the gun! "H-he's not answering!" Drew said. I could feel his fear too. Why didn't he answer just now? This King of Vipers is really useless. "Come on, come on!" Tiger shouted again and pointed the gun at my head even harder. I didn't want to die yet! "We're going to go! Just don't hurt Jay- jay!" Yuri begged. Don't leave me here!I couldn't scream or complain. Drew and Yuri had already left so Tiger lowered the gun. I was able to breathe a little. I became quiet. "Keifer! That's enough!" They stopped me but I didn't stop. I picked Drew up and punched him in the face. I didn't care even though his lips were bleeding. "Keifer!" Yuri called to me. The anger I felt was overwhelming. I turn to Yuri and immediately punch him. "You! You know that it's a very dangerous place for Jay-jay yet you bring her there!" I said. "That's enough Keifer! Let's go to her!" Ci-N shouted at me. I just managed to pull myself together. That flashy woman escaped me, what's worse, Edrix couldn't ï¬nd his phone signal yet. Because he's at Kingsground. Fvck! I looked at Drew and Yuri. "If something bad happens to Jay- jay... I'll paralyze you two! Remember that!" I can't forgive myself if something bad happens to him.
