The Leader's Trial

We were moving through Shadows as Silas's creatures terrorized the battlefield, they had to deal with the creatures and on top of that we could come out any moment and just slaughter them, but no our plan had to be executed at the right moment and right timing to get it and then we saw it, golden opening right between the assassin and healing mage stood the fighting one, he was getting ready to cast out a spell towards Silas.

Ravien already realised it, he threw himself flying directly towards him at such speed it was competing with light he went through the assassin throwing him to the side and placing his dagger deep inside Mage's shoulder cutting his arm off. "Fuck, lucky bitch" Ravien said managing to mantain his balance as he fell to the ground, then i left the shadows going to finish what Ravien started but they realised quickly enough and regrouped. Healing mage was using every last bit of his emerging healing but it wasn't really enough, Ravien cut it perfectly but what we haven't realised is that the mage before his arm was cut off casted out a spell already it was just a timed one.

"We win" the Mage said as the spell flew through the arena going towards Silas, it was too late, it was going to hit him and he would die. But Silas just smirked, as if he didn't care enough to move. "Void unleashed" was last to be heard before Arena went completely pitch black, battlefield was now a jungle-like one. Creatures of all kinds were roaring and flying through the battlefield as Silas was on one of the trees, Ravien and me were stuck on the floor as the enemies trembled looking at Silas who now had a void form, his body armor was pitch black and his eyes glowed golden as he laughed "Welcome to my home, i decide who lives here" he tapped into the voids maximum power and didnt want to waste a second.

"Well i guess we should let Void weirdo handle this copycat, it seems like he can handle it" Ravien said with a chuckle as he backed off back to the shadows standing to the side letting Silas terrorize the battlefield.

Silas, now fully embracing his Void Form, stands at the center of the battlefield—his presence alone distorting the air around him. The jungle-like arena is no longer just a battlefield; it's his hunting ground. The Void creatures he summoned crawl, slither, and stalk through the trees, their eerie chittering echoing like a chorus of nightmares.

He watches his enemies struggle, their movements panicked as shadows coil around them. Then, he speaks—his voice calm, but laced with something inhuman

"You stepped into my domain. Now you play by my rules. Run, hide, fight—it doesn't matter. The Void always takes its due." He glanced over to his creatures that were looking up at him, as if he was their God.

"Tear them apart. Leave no trace. Let the Void remind them why it cannot be tamed." He spoke again, now this time to his creatures, giving them orders which sounded scary enough to even remove the smirk of Ravien's face.

The jungle, once an arena, is now a hunting ground ruled by the Void. Shadows slither between the trees, grotesque creatures crawling from the darkness—limbs too long, eyes glowing with eerie hunger. The air grows thick, vibrating with an unnatural hum as the Void warps reality itself.

Our enemies hesitated, their breaths sharp, backs pressed against the trees. Mage without the arm makes a break for it sprinting through the dense foliage, eyes wide with terror.

He doesn't make it far.

A maw of pure darkness bursts from the ground, tendrils wrapping around his legs, pulling him under. A sharp scream—then silence that was chilling even. Ravien and me were just witnesses of pure power.

"Stop messing with us Void guy, fight us yourself" The Assassin said, more desperate, charges Silas directly, his weapon flashing in the dim light. He didnt even know what kind of a mistake that was, it was the dumbest he ever did in his life, and now the last.

Silas barely moves. With a flick of his wrist, a pulse of void energy ripples outward, warping the space between them. The Assassin just stood there, in silence just looking forward. It was too late to do anything about that big Hole he had in his stomach anyways. The blood was pouring out in a fast pace, he then collapsed on Silas's feet as Silas stepped on his head and closed his eyes.

"Finish him Shadows." He spoke to us as he directly made the guy glow in the Golden color because, afterall it was his domain he knew where everyone was at what time and in which state.

"Fine then Void weirdo, i expected a easy day in office but it looks like i have to get my hands even more bloody now." Ravien said as he stood up. "Sit down Ravien, he's mine." I said as i pulled out my dagger already making my way towards the last Mage. Ravien, half-emerged from the shadows, tilts his head, an amused smirk playing at his lips. "Oh our leader wants to take the last kill? Fine then but im not satisfied with just one arm taken so better finish this so i can finally kill someone again in the next challange.." His crimson eyes glint in the dim jungle light before he fades into the darkness.

I moved like a specter, the void wrapping around me in flickering tendrils. The last fighter spins in place, trying to keep up, his body twitching with panic. But there's nothing to see.

Then a whisper of movement. A flicker in the corner of his vision. He swings blindly, his weapon slashing through empty air. His breathing turns frantic. Then a voice behind him. "You already lost." The fighter whirls around, but I was already gone. His heart hammers. His hands shake.

Then pain.

My fist buries into his gut, the impact lifting him off the ground. The air rips from his lungs as he crashes against a tree, bark splintering from the force. He gasps, choking on nothing, struggling to move, I domt give him a chance.

Before he can recover, I was already there. A brutal knee to the ribs—a crack. A sharp elbow to the jaw—his vision spins. The shadows swirl around me like living extensions of my wrath, my were movements precise, merciless.

The fighter tries to raise his weapon he stole from the assassin, but i grabbed his wrist before he couls do something stupid with it, twisting it until it snaps. A choked scream cut short as I slamed him into the dirt.

The jungle is silent.

I loomed over him, my glowing eyes cold, unfeeling. There is no hesitation. No mercy. Just the inevitable end. "Please, dont kill me.. Please i surrender" He was begging, he was someome who had something he cared about, he had dreams and things he wanted to do when he got out of here but now, it was all past.

My dagger was already buried deep in his heart, i killed someone. I took away someone's son. Like it was nothing just another normal day, but thats how it needs to be. I couldn't efford my emotions making me hesitate or getting me emotional before doing something like this.

I will keep pushing forward, i had nothing to lose, no one to go back to anyways. "Well that was a new version of you copycat, if you keep up like that i'll start to treat you like a Leader in no time." Ravien's voice came from behind me, he was chuckling as he kicked the body of the mage to the side leaning on the bloody tree.

"Well it had to be done, i just did my job nothing else." I spoke, my voice cold as i cleaned my dagger snd stood up. "Yeah well, we will see how long until you hesitate to kill someone, i know how that goes trust me." Ravien said as he made his way back as the Battlefield and the Jungle look crumbled and went back to normal, leaving bodies of our enemy team in a line all infront of the Recruiters.

[Team Caius pass the Challange 1!

All 3 members move on.]

Recruiter made the announcement through the Arena, as it erupted. People cheeres because we took and erased 3 lives. It was weirs however needed. I walked over towards the now exhausted Silas. "Hey you alright? What you did back there was impressive, i didn't know you could do something like that?" I said as we sat down close to our chamber. "Yeah im fine, just exhausted and tired, i think im going to sleep, next challange is tomorrow aswell, we have to be ready." He said, his voice was back to normal but he couldnt stop looking at Kaelen that seemed like he was unbothered and not impressed by that show Silas put on.

We made our way to the chamber as the last battle started. We had to be ready for the next challange, whatever it was we knew it wont be easy and we had to be ready for it. "Honestly we could have ended that way earlier if i wanted to, but i didn't want to take your spotlight guys." Ravien said with a chuckle as he fell on his bed. "Shut up shadow, let us sleep." Silas said from over his bed.

Next challange is going to be even more challanging and will require more power and less emotions, i will kill every piece of hesitation and any emotion i have to succeed. The title of a Space Keeper is going to be mine.
