Chapter 1: Chaos

Sometimes i feel like i have lived countless of lifetimes. There's always a familiar feeling that i have gone through this path whenever i am walking down the street or whenever i go to a certain place that i haven't visited. The feeling of deja vu or is it just my imagination? I have live for 19 years normally but last month i always see a fragment of memories that i don't remember happening in my past. Sometimes i woke up crying and sometimes i woke up feeling like i have lost something.

I'm just a simple boy who likes reading books, playing games and rarely goes outside the house. Recently i received an invitation from a big convention that will happen in 1 week, since i'm a professional gamer who is successful I always have this kind of invitation whenever there's an event related to E-sports. I gladly accepted it and hope the event goes well.

I also hope the guy I like will attend

The guy i like, Ash is a bit older than me and he work as a staff on conventions. He has beautiful long black hair that goes all the way to his waist, no one knows why he grows his hair that long and his face is hard to resist one word, gorgeous. He does notice me but only that, i heard he's getting married soon so i didn't bother anymore but why does sometimes he looks at me with such sad eyes? What is bothering you or should I say what is it that you wanna tell me?

A week have passed

The grand event have finally started, the event cost a lot of money cause of how grand it is, a big stadium, many booth sellers and many cosplayers from different fandom, It really was a sight to see. As i walked up on the stage i saw Ash who is now in the side with the staff, he gently smiled at me and i returned the smile back. I reach the center of the stage and give my speech confidently and right after the speech i proceed to the crowd to check the goods they're selling. I even went to my friends who i consider as my family since i was an orphan i could only rely to this people, we all had fun talking with each other.

"Yan,there are rumors that you are planning to quit E-Sports..is it true?" My friend looked at me with such worry.

"I heard about it too yan, those people are really something!" My other friend complained.

"Hmm.. it's true that I will retire but not now" I reassured them cause who knows what's running in their mind if I don't deny those rumors, I don't want to bail them out of jail.

As the event progress it was really fun when suddenly a large amount of crowd were making noises as if they're afraid of something. Curiosity wins the best of me and couldn't help but approach that area to check what's going on. To my shock, it's some people dress in all black holding a sharp weapon. All the alarm sound went off in my head and suddenly shouts.

"RUN!!"

I didn't know why i did that, but something is telling me that they don't have good intention! All the people who heard my words suddenly went in panic and run for their life. I guess i shouldn't have done that.. I made the people panic but oops-. Before anyone could exit the man who was dressed black suddenly multiply in number, they were all blocking the exits. What's going on? What do they want? Is this a joke? All of this question might be on all people's mind in the moment.

Not long after the commotion i could hear many people scream in horror. Something's not right.. When i turn my head i could see people getting slice and stab. Fear linger the place and all people are in panic. Humans seriously, when they encounter dangerous things they do not care about others but the safety of themselves.

Wait.. Ash!! I rushed back to the stage to find ash..i couldn't find him..no! In that moment i heard a scream, i definitely heard it was ash's voice! Damnit! I look around and see him among the crowd on the floor looking at something in front of him, it was the man dressed in black holding the sword above it's head ready to attack ash. In that moment my body reacted faster than my mind, i grab the nearest object i could find which coincidentally a broken leg of a chair anyway i throw it as hard as i could to that man making it's action stopped in mid air and looks at me with a look that i couldn't describe. It's not anger, it's not fear either. When that creature.. A man whatever it is was distracted i look at ash.

"Run! Don't look back! "

"But yanyan!" Ah.. he called my nickname, that was the first time.

"Just run! Damnit! " i don't know why I have the guts to face this person, i definitely didn't fight anyone with a weapon before but maybe.. I was trying to impress the boy i like?

Ash hesitantly run away and i grip tightly the broken chair leg. I don't know why but i do not feel any fear other than being stabbed by that weapon cause it will definitely hurt and i don't like pain at all. The man suddenly dash forward, fuck it was too fast! Unfair!

"Fuck-" i cursed while running away and when the man was close on slicing me with that weapon, i know i can't fight this man and close my eyes accepting my fate on being a slice fish.

Clang

There was a collision of metal when i opened my eyes a man who is on his 20's with a jet black short hair and is wearing a white coat is standing in front of me blocking the attack with a gun. How strong is that gun to withstand the sword???

Wasn't that sword cutting people like sushi earlier????

"Get away." the man's voice was deep but there's gentleness on it. When i heard the voice there's suddenly a tinnitus in my ears, it was so loud that i couldn't react on time and just stand there covering my ear, after the tinnitus there was a sudden pain in my head. It's throbbing so much that i suddenly lose consciousness, the man in white coat was finishing off the man in black when he notice my situation he immediately catch my unconscious body.
