Chapter 4: Steel Graveyard: Werewolf Pack Override

Being in the mysterious quantum space, Kyle, Elena and Lucien were surrounded by strange light and fluctuations, and everything around them revealed unknown dangers. Kyle gripped the modified Geiger counter in his hand tightly, his eyes vigilantly scanning the surrounding area, fine beads of sweat oozing from his forehead, glittering under the shimmering light. His brown hair was slightly disheveled, and his golden pupils were tense and focused, especially that right eye that had changed into a Feynman diagram pattern due to contact with the Quantum Realm, and at the moment the pattern seemed to be flickering slightly along with the energy fluctuations around him, as if it was resonating with this mysterious space in some way. "This place is too weird, we have to be careful." Kyle lowered his voice and said with a hint of uneasiness in his tone.

Elena nodded slightly, her long silver-white hair falling like a waterfall over her shoulders, fluttering gently with the flow of energy and emitting a faint blue light. The unique Klein Bottle topology iris of her left eye shimmered with a mysterious light, and the quantum entanglement rune on her neck glowed faintly, seemingly responding to the quantum field around her. "The energy fluctuations here are disorganized, the power of the Higgs field seems to be infinitely amplified here, and our every move could trigger unexpected consequences." Her voice was calm and steady, but it was still hard to hide the worry in it.

Lucien, on the other hand, vigilantly raised his silver-gray wolf ears, the Klein Bottle form on his ears hidden under the light, and the Yang-Mills equations of the pupils of his eyes rippled and flowed, always sensing the changes in his surroundings. His body leaned forward slightly in a battle-ready stance, the muscles on his body tense and exuding a feral aura. "I always feel like something is spying on us here, everyone must not take this lightly." He growled lowly, the instinctive alertness of a werewolf in his voice.

Just as the three of them were carefully exploring this mysterious space, a huge black arch suddenly appeared in front of them. The surface of the arch was engraved with strange symbols and patterns, and these symbols emitted a ghostly blue light, as if they were telling an ancient and mysterious story. The air around the archway twisted and formed a powerful energy vortex that was intimidating.

"This archway doesn't look easy, should we go through it?" Kyle looked to Elena and Lucian with a hint of hesitation in his eyes.

Elena gazed at the archway and said after a moment of contemplation, "From what we've seen so far, we don't seem to have any other choice. This space is full of dangers, maybe by going through the archway we can find clues to get out of here, and maybe even discover important information related to the Observer Program and the Higgs Field."

Lucien frowned slightly, he could feel the powerful forces hidden behind the archway, but as a werewolf leader, he had an adventurous spirit in his bones. "No matter what's behind it, we can't back down. I want to see what secrets are hidden behind this door."

The trio slowly approached the archway, the powerful swirl of energy affecting them more and more as the distance shortened. The Geiger counter in Kyle's hand beeped frantically, the needle swinging sharply to show the dramatic increase in radiation around them. "This energy is too powerful, we must deal with it carefully." Kyle shouted, his voice a little weak against the whirring of the energy vortex.

When they finally arrived in front of the archway, a low and mysterious voice rang in their ears, "Trespassers, why have you come here?" The voice seemed to come from the abyss, cold and majestic, sending shivers down one's spine.

Elena took a deep breath and stepped forward, "We were lost here on a journey to find the truth. We have been drawn into a series of mysterious events related to the Higgs Field and the Observer program, and hope to find clues from here to solve the mystery and stop a possible catastrophe."

After a moment of silence, the voice resounded once again, ''Do you think the truth is so easy to explore? However, since you are here, accept the test. After passing through this door, you will face the trial of the Blood Clan. If you can pass the trial, you may be able to get the answers you want; if you fail, you will be lost here forever."

Before the three could respond, the archway suddenly emitted an intense light that enveloped them. After the light dissipated, they found themselves in a huge circular hall. The walls of the hall were inlaid with countless huge crystals, which emitted a ghostly red light, illuminating the entire hall like a sea of blood. The floor of the hall was paved with a kind of black stone, which was engraved with complex runes that flickered with a faint blue light, as if they were performing some kind of mysterious ritual.

In the center of the hall, there was a huge stone platform. On the stone platform stood a group of people dressed in gorgeous black robes, their faces hidden underneath the black robes so that their expressions could not be seen. In the middle of these people, there was a tall old man whose black robe was embroidered with a golden Blood Clan insignia, which featured an ancient Blood Clan totem with an eye entwined by a snake, symbolizing the Blood Clan's pursuit of power and eternal life.

"Outsiders, you have trespassed into the Blood Clan's territory and are trying to explore our secrets." The old man's voice was low and hoarse, carrying an undeniable majesty. "Do you know that prying into the secrets of the Blood Clan without authorization is a capital offense?"

Kyle stepped forward and said, "We don't mean to be offensive, it's just that what we're going through has threatened the safety of the entire world. The anomalous changes in the Higgs Field, the mysterious machinations of the Observer Program, all of this is closely related to us. We hope to cooperate with you to solve these mysteries and stop the possible disaster."

The old man snorted coldly, ''Cooperation? You guys are just making excuses for your greed. However, since you're here, we won't let you off easily. In the history of the Blood Race, there is a contract called the Entropy Reduction Contract. It is the source of our Blood Race's power and one of the secrets of our immortality. Today, you will witness the power of this contract."

After saying that, the old man waved his hand and a huge book appeared on the stone platform. The cover of the book was made of black leather, and it was engraved with golden runes. As the book slowly opened, a powerful energy fluctuation emanated from the book, and the entire hall began to tremble slightly.

"This is the Entropy Reduction Contract." The old man said, "It allows the signer of the pact to gain great power, realize the miracle of entropy reduction, and even be able to reverse the passage of time and reach the realm of eternal life. However, this contract is not without a price, every time the power of the contract is used, it will consume the signer's soul power."

Kyle, Elena and Lucien were all stunned by the sight before them. They had never imagined that the Blood Race possessed such powerful and mysterious strength.

"Now, you will be tested by the contract." The old man said, "You will hold out under the power of the pact for ten minutes, if you can do so, we will consider cooperating with you; if you fail, you will become sacrifices to the pact."

Before the three could react, the power of the contract came at them. A powerful gravitational force emanated from the books on the stone platform and sucked them in tightly. Her face turned pale, beads of sweat covered her forehead, and a hint of fear was revealed in her eyes. "The power of this pact is too strong, I can't support it anymore." She said with difficulty.

Lucien was also resisting the power of the pact with all his might. His wolf ears were pulled out of shape by the gravitational force, and the fur on his body began to stand upright. He let out a roar, utilizing the unique strength of a werewolf in an attempt to break the gravitational force. "I will not give in so easily!" He growled.

Under the constant onslaught of the contract's power, Kyle, Elena, and Lucien's bodies all endured immense pain. Time passed minute by minute, and every second seemed incomparably long.

Suddenly, Elena realized that her blood began to flow backwards. The blood that was originally flowing through her veins was now flowing in the opposite direction, and an icy cold sensation spread throughout her body from her veins. She screamed in horror, "My blood ... it's flowing backwards!"

Kyle and Lucian were alarmed when they heard Elena's screams. Kyle tried to get closer to Elena to help her out of her predicament, but the gravitational pull of the pact made it difficult for him to move an inch. "Elena, hold on! We'll find a way out!" He shouted.

Lucien then glared angrily at the old man on the stone platform, "What the hell are you doing to her? Stop this now!"

Instead, the old man looked at them coldly and said, "This is the power of the Entropy Reduction Contract. It can break all conventions and reverse the order of life. Her blood flowing backwards is just a manifestation of the power of the contract. If you cannot pass the test, she will be in this agony forever until her soul is completely consumed by the contract."

Elena writhed in pain as her consciousness faded. At the edge of her consciousness, it was as if she saw those lonely moments in her long years of immortality. She remembered the countless nights she had spent wandering alone, remembering those who had left her because of her immortality. "I don't want to go on like this ... What is the point of eternal life, anyway?" She cried out in despair in her mind.

Kyle's heart raced as he watched Elena in agony. He knew deep down that Elena feared the loneliness that came with immortality, and this contract was currently pushing her deeper into the abyss of despair. He desperately thought of a way to deal with it, and suddenly, a possible solution came to him. "Elena, focus! We can use the power of quantum entanglement to fight against the power of the contract!" He shouted.

A glimmer of hope welled up in Elena's heart as she heard Kyle's words. She forced herself to endure the pain and focused on trying to establish a stronger quantum entanglement with Kyle. Her blood crystal matrix glowed brightly, and the quantum entanglement bond with Kyle became brighter and tougher.

Lucien saw Elena and Kyle's actions and understood their intentions. He fully mobilized the quantized wolf venom in his body and injected his power into the space around him in an attempt to interfere with the power of the pact. His eyes flashed with a strange light, and the fur on his body gave off a green glow as the power of the wolf venom filled the air.

With the combined efforts of the three, the power of the pact seemed to have been disturbed somewhat. The gravitational pull was no longer as strong, and the reverse flow of Elena's blood had stopped for the time being.

Elena also vowed silently in her mind, "I can't be defeated like this. I'm going to get rid of the bondage of immortality and find true freedom."

Lucien, on the other hand, let out an earth-shattering wolf howl, "We will not give in!" His wolf howl was filled with unyielding will and echoed through the hall.

Just when they could barely hold on, Kyle suddenly noticed a line of text on the deed. This line of text was hidden under the light, as if it was deliberately hiding itself. Kyle's heart stirred as he concentrated and tried to read the contents of the line of text.

"It ... says here that the power of the pact is not invincible, and that if you can find a loophole in the pact, you can break its bonds." Kyle shouted.

A glimmer of hope flared in Elena and Lucien's hearts as they heard Kyle's words. "Loophole? How are we going to find the loophole in the contract?" Elena asked.

Kyle pondered for a moment and said, "The power of the pact stems from entropy reduction, which is contrary to the second law of thermodynamics. Perhaps, we can start from a thermodynamic perspective and look for loopholes in the pact."

Lucien nodded, "Makes sense. But what are we going to do about it?"

Kyle looked at his surroundings and suddenly thought of a solution. "The energy fluctuations here are disorganized, we can take advantage of that. We can channel the energy around us and create an entropy increasing field that is opposite to the power of the pact, perhaps we can interfere with the power of the pact and find a loophole in it."

Elena and Lucien looked at each other, both seeing firm determination in the other's eyes. "Okay, let's try it!" They said in unison.

The three began to focus on channeling the energy around them. Kyle utilized the Geiger counter to adjust the frequency and direction of the energy; Elena manipulated the Blood Crystal Matrix to absorb and transform the quantum energy around her; and Lucian used the power of Wolfsbane to interfere with the flow of energy from the pact.

Under their efforts, the energy around them began to change. The energy that was originally attracted by the power of the pact began to flow in the opposite direction at this moment. A weak entropy increasing field gradually formed, fighting against each other and the entropy decreasing power of the pact.

"What are you doing?" The old man's face changed drastically when he saw their actions. "How dare you guys try to destroy the power of the contract, you'll pay for it!"

But Kyle, Elena, and Lucien ignored the old man's threat as they continued to increase their power and strengthen the Entropy Increasing Field. The Entropy Augmentation Field and the power of the pact collided fiercely, and the entire hall began to tremble violently, the crystals on the walls cracked, and the runes on the floor began to shimmer and flicker.

Suddenly, the light on the compact flickered and a tiny crack appeared. "Look, there's a crack! Let's increase the power!" Kyle shouted excitedly.

The three of them put their best foot forward and injected all their power into the Entropy Increasing Field. The power of the Entropy Increasing Field grew stronger and stronger, and the cracks in the pact grew larger and larger.

Finally, with a loud bang, the power of the contract was completely broken. The powerful energy impact shook Kyle, Elena and Lucien out, and they fell heavily to the ground.

"No! This is impossible!" The old man let out a desperate roar as he looked at the broken contract. "You outsiders, how dare you break our blood race's sacred contract!"

Kyle struggled to his feet and said, "We are only looking for hope to survive and solve the mysteries of the world. You Bloods shouldn't be using this power for control and bondage, it should be used to protect the world, not create havoc."

The old man looked at Kyle, his eyes filled with anger and unwillingness. But at this moment, the contract was broken, and there was nothing he could do. "You guys go. But you must remember that you have offended the Blood Clan, and you will be hunted by the Blood Clan forever."

Elena and Lucien also stood up and they walked over to Kyle. Elena's face was still pale, but there was determination in her eyes. "No matter what, we have to keep going. We're getting closer to the truth."

Lucien nodded, "That's right. We're not afraid of the Blood's pursuit, we're going to uncover the truth about the Observer program and stop their plot."

The three of them turned around and walked towards the exit of the hall. After they left, the old man in the hall looked at the broken contract and fell into deep thought. He knew that the secrets of the Blood Clan were no longer safe, and a bigger storm was coming ...

When Kyle, Elena and Lucien walked out of the hall, they found themselves back in the mysterious space from before. But at this time, the energy fluctuations in the space had calmed down a lot.

"We're finally out." Kyle said with a sigh of relief.

Elena looked at her surroundings and said, "Although we've temporarily gotten rid of the crisis of the Blood Clan, we haven't found a way out of here yet. Moreover, we found Elena's handwriting on the deed, there must be a lot of secrets behind it."

Lucien frowned, "Elena's handwriting? What's going on here? Could Elena have something to do with this contract?"

Elena shook her head, "I don't know. I only remember that I was exposed to something related to the contract at some point, but I can't recall the specifics. Perhaps it had something to do with my status as an Observer."
