Chapter 20: Cradle of Observation activation

Under the eerie dark red glow, the earth continued to shake, and the black smoke pouring out of the cracks became stronger and the pungent odor filled the air with a sickening smell. Kyle, Elena and Lucien were so nervous by this sudden change that every hair of sweat stood up, gazing around vigilantly, ready to deal with a new crisis.

Kyle gripped the Geiger Counter tightly, his knuckles whitening from the exertion, and bean-sized beads of sweat rolled down on his forehead, glinting with an eerie light under the dark red glow. His eyes revealed tension and concentration as he constantly observed the changes in the surrounding energy. "The energy fluctuations in this place are too abnormal, more complicated than anything we've encountered before." He said in a low voice, his voice was exceptionally clear in this oppressive environment, yet it carried a trace of imperceptible trembling.

Elena squinted her eyes slightly, the mysterious Klein Bottle Topology iris of her left eye flickering with an ethereal light that echoed the eerie glow around her. The quantum entanglement runes on her neck were also becoming more and more pronounced, as if they were fighting against the chaotic energy field. She took a deep breath and tried to calm herself down, manipulating the Blood Crystal Matrix to form a faint defensive barrier around her body. "Everyone be careful, this must be a new plot by the Observer program, every move we make could trigger an even more dangerous situation." Her voice was calm and steady, despite her inner worry, her years of experience had taught her to remain calm in the face of a crisis.

Lucien, on the other hand, raised his silver-gray wolf ears, the form of a Klein bottle looming over his ears, fluttering slightly as he moved. The Yang-Mills equation ripples in the pupils of his eyes flowed rapidly, and the muscles in his body were taut and aggressive. He let out a low growl, his body exuding a wild aura, trying to dispel the uneasiness in his heart in this way. "No matter what kind of demons and devils they are, let them come over! I'd like to see what they can do to us!" He roared, the boldness and fearlessness of a werewolf in his voice.

The three of them cautiously moved forward in this crisis-ridden environment, the ground under their feet constantly shaking as if it would collapse at any moment. Suddenly, a huge figure appeared ahead. Under the dark red light, it could only be seen that it was a massive object with a blurred outline, emitting a powerful and bizarre aura.

"What is that thing?" Lucien cried out in surprise, his eyes revealing a hint of fear, but more than that, a desire to fight.

Kyle raised the Geiger counter and tried to detect the figure's energy fluctuations. The counter sounded a sharp alarm and the data pulsed wildly, showing that the figure contained extremely powerful energy. "This thing's energy is beyond imagination, we'll have to be careful how we deal with it." He said, a hint of tension in his voice.

Elena concentrated, using her quantum senses to try and see the figure for what it was. "I can sense that it seems to be a giant mechanical device, but fused with some sort of quantum technology that looks very dangerous." She said, her eyes revealing gravity.

As they gradually approached, the silhouette of the figure became clear. It was a huge metal sphere, its surface covered with all sorts of complicated pipes and shimmering crystals, and a circle of mysterious light surrounded the sphere, the light constantly changing colors as if it was performing some sort of mysterious ritual. On the surface of the sphere, there was a huge display, which showed some strange data and symbols.

"Is this ... this the core device of the Observer program?" Kyle said in surprise.

Elena looked at the sphere and her face became very ugly, "It's very possible. I can feel that it contains a great danger, we must stop it from activating."

Just then, the sphere suddenly emitted a strong light, and some strange images appeared in the light. In the images, some people wearing white robes appeared, and they were busy in a huge laboratory, seemingly conducting an extremely important experiment.

"Who are these people?" Lucien asked.

Elena frowned, "I'm not sure, but they definitely have something to do with the Observer program. From these images, it looks like they're starting something called the 'Observation Cradle'."

Kyle ponders for a moment, "An observation cradle? That sounds unusual. Perhaps this is the key to the Observer program. We must find a way to stop them."

Suddenly, one of the men in the image seemed to sense their presence, and he turned his head and looked at the camera with a wry smile on his face. "Do you think you can stop us? It's too late, the Observation Cradle has been activated and the Civilization Reset Protocol is about to take effect." His voice came out of the glow, echoing throughout space.

Kyle shouted angrily, "What the hell are you crazy people up to? What civilization reset protocol?"

That person laughed coldly, "The Civilization Reset Agreement is to reset the civilization of this world back to zero, and everything will go back to the original starting point. And all of you, you will become the dust of history."

Elena looked at the man, "Why are you doing this? This will bring disaster to the entire universe!"

The man was unmoved, "It is a necessary sacrifice in order to achieve our goal. The purpose of the Observer Program is to control the fate of the universe, and the civilization reset is an important step in our plan."

Kyle gritted his teeth, "You won't get away with this!" He picked up the Geiger counter and prepared to attack the sphere.

However, just as he was about to launch his attack, the light around the sphere suddenly became more intense, forming a powerful energy barrier that blocked them out. "This barrier is too strong, our attacks won't work at all." Kyle said.

Elena concentrated and manipulated the Blood Crystal Matrix, trying to break through the energy barrier. However, the energy of the Blood Crystal Matrix bounced back the moment it touched the barrier. "This barrier seems to be able to absorb and transform our energy, we have to think of something else." She said.

Lucien, on the other hand, looked for the barrier's weaknesses as he ran around the sphere, scrutinizing every corner of the barrier. Suddenly, he noticed a tiny gap at the bottom of the barrier, where the energy fluctuations were relatively weak. "Kyle, Elena, look! There's a gap here, maybe we can break through here." He shouted.

Kyle and Elena immediately ran over. Kyle looked at the gap, "This gap is too small, it's hard for our attacks to hit accurately. Moreover, even if we break through this gap, the situation inside is unknown, and we don't know what dangers there will be."

Elena pondered for a moment, "I have an idea. I can use the power of the Blood Crystal Matrix to concentrate our energy at a single point and then inject it into the interior of the sphere through this gap to see if we can interfere with their plans."

Kyle nodded, "Okay, let's try it. But you have to be careful, it might use up a lot of your energy."

Elena took a deep breath and focused on manipulating the Blood Crystal Matrix. The Blood Crystal Matrix emitted a dazzling blue light, bringing the energy of the three together to form a powerful energy beam. She aimed at the gap and fired the energy beam.

The energy beam passed through the gap and entered the interior of the sphere. A violent vibration came from inside the sphere, and the data on the display began to jump wildly. "It worked! We interfered with their plans!" Kyle shouted excitedly.

However, before they had time to be happy, the sphere suddenly let out a loud bang, and an even bigger wave of energy erupted from the sphere. This energy wave was even more ferocious than the previous one, and it directly broke through their defense barrier, sending Kyle, Elena, and Lucien flying out.

"Ah!" The three of them let out painful cries at the same time and fell heavily to the ground.

Kyle struggled to his feet and wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth, "This ... force is too strong. It's like we've angered them."

Elena also struggled to get up, "We can't give up. Once the Civilization Reset Agreement goes into effect, the consequences will be unimaginable. We must find a way to stop them in the last minute."

Lucien nodded, "That's right, even if we have to fight for our lives, we have to stop them!"

Just then, Elena suddenly felt a strong sense of weakness. Her Blood Crystal Matrix had consumed a large amount of energy due to her previous attack and was now close to its limit. She knew that she was running out of time. "Kyle, Lucien, I ... my Blood Crystal Matrix is dying." She said weakly.

Kyle and Lucien looked at Elena with worry in their hearts. Kyle walked over to Elena and held her hand, "Elena, don't talk and save your strength. There must still be something we can do."

Elena looked at Kyle, her eyes revealing a hint of determination, "Kyle, there's something I have to tell you before the reset. The Observer Program has actually been using me, and the Blood Crystal Matrix in my body is the key to their plan. For so many years, I have been searching for a way to get rid of their control, until I met you ..." Her voice was getting lower and lower, but her eyes kept gazing at Kyle.

Kyle held Elena's hand tightly, "Elena, don't say anything, we'll get through this together. No matter what happens, I won't let anything happen to you."

Lucien watched them from the sidelines and was very moved. He knew that now was not the time for childish love, and that he had to find a way to stop the Observer program. "Let's forget about that for now, we have to hurry up and find a way to stop that civilization reset protocol or whatever it is. The countdown shows 13 seconds, time is running out!" He said anxiously.

Kyle looked at the sphere and suddenly realized that there was a tiny blinking point in the energy core of the sphere. A thought crossed his mind, "Elena, Lucien, I noticed a blinking point in the sphere's energy core, maybe that's the key to shutting down the civilization reset protocol. Let's focus on attacking there!"

Elena nodded, "Okay, I have one last bit of power, let's try it together."

The three of them concentrated all their power and launched an attack towards the blinking point at the energy core of the sphere. Kyle fired the strongest beam of energy with his Geiger Counter, Elena maneuvered the Blood Crystal Matrix to release the last of her energy, and Lucian let out an earth-shattering wolf howl, pouring all of his power into the attack.

Under the combined attack of the three, the energy beam struck the blinking point. A violent explosion came from inside the sphere, the data on the display instantly disappeared, and the countdown of the civilization reset protocol stopped.

"It worked!" Kyle exclaimed excitedly.

However, before they could breathe a sigh of relief, the sphere suddenly began to disintegrate, and huge pieces of debris splashed in all directions. "Not good, get out of the way!" Kyle shouted.

The three of them hurriedly dodged the flying debris, but some of it still hit them, and their bodies were hurt to varying degrees.

When the sphere completely disintegrated, the surroundings gradually returned to normal, the dark red glow disappeared and the black smoke slowly dispersed. Kyle, Elena and Lucian collapsed on the ground in exhaustion, they had managed to stop the civilization reset protocol from taking effect, but they knew that the conspiracy of the Observer program was far from over.

"Whew, finally stopped them for now." Kyle said under his breath.

Elena looked at Kyle and Lucian, "Thank you, if it wasn't for you guys, I ..."

Kyle interrupted her, "Let's not talk about that, we're a team. But this time, this incident has shown us that the Observer program is more dangerous than we thought. We must find their headquarters as soon as possible and completely destroy their program."

Lucien nodded, "That's right, these guys are abominable. We can't let them get away with this again."

After resting for a while and recovering some of their strength, the three of them began to look around for clues about the Observer Program's headquarters. They knew that more challenges and dangers would await them ahead, but they were undaunted because they had a firm belief in their hearts that they must uncover the truth about the Observer Program, stop their crazy plots, and guard the peace of this world.

While searching for clues, Kyle found some strange symbols and marks. These symbols were somewhat similar to the ones they had seen in the mysterious building before, but different. He studied the symbols carefully, trying to find clues from them. "These symbols look like an encrypted message that we need to find a way to decode." He said.

Elena used her quantum perception ability to try to sense the information behind the symbols. "I can sense that the symbols are related to the location of the Observer Program's headquarters, but the exact information is still vague. We need more clues." She said.

Lucien, for his part, searched around for other possible clues, his wolf ears constantly swiveling as he tried to catch any unusual sounds or smells. Suddenly, he smelled a familiar odor. "I smell a werewolf odor, and it's a strong one, as if it's coming from a nearby cave." He said.

Kyle and Elena looked at each other, "Maybe there's a clue we need in that cave, let's go check it out."

The three of them walked towards the cave, and as they approached the cave, they realized that a mysterious aura permeated around the cave. There were some strange devices at the entrance of the cave, which flickered with a faint light and seemed to be guarding the cave.

"These devices look dangerous, we need to be careful." Kyle said.

Elena concentrated on manipulating the blood crystal matrix, trying to detect the energy fluctuations of these devices. "The energy fluctuations of these devices are strange, they feel like a defense mechanism to me. We need to find a way to shut them down." She said.

Lucien, meanwhile, looked around, trying to find a way to bypass the devices. Suddenly, he noticed a hidden button on the side of the device. "Look guys, there's a button here, maybe that's the key to turning off the device." He said.

Kyle stepped forward and carefully pressed the button. The glow of the device faded as the button was pressed and the defense mechanism was turned off. "It worked!" Kyle said.

The three of them walked into the cave, which was filled with a stale odor. In the depths of the cave, they found some old books and documents. These books and documents contained some important information about the Observer Program, including the location of the headquarters and their next plan.

"This information is so important!" Kyle said excitedly.

Elena looked at the books and documents, "We have finally found some key clues. But the Observer Program's headquarters must have heavy defenses, we need to be well prepared."

Lucien nodded, "Whatever defense there is, we are not afraid of it. Let's head out now and destroy their headquarters!"

Kyle and Elena looked at Lucian and nodded. They knew that it would be a tough battle, but they were ready to go forward to the final showdown with the Observer Program in order to guard the peace of the world.
