A Special Class for the Gifted

— — — — — —

After a grand feast featuring sea kings that boosted the blood and vitality of the entire Western Dog Yokai Clan by up to thirty percent, Inukimi returned to Eientei feeling much lighter—one major concern had been put to rest.

She wanted to find Veyron, thank him properly, and maybe have a little private chat while she was at it. But when she knocked on his door, it wasn't him who answered—it was Hagoromo Gitsune.

"He's not here," Hagoromo said casually.

"Then where?"

"He didn't say," Hagoromo replied as she lazily licked her front paw. "Wanna come in and sit for a while?"

Sit in his room? Inukimi blinked, then froze. Wait a minute—

"Don't tell me… You've been sharing a room with him this whole time."

Her voice went tight. She remembered how, back then, Hagoromo had transformed mid-air (naked) and launched herself into Veyron's arms, and how naturally he caught her like it was second nature. Her lips twitched.

"Well, not exactly," Hagoromo said, shaking her head. "Master asked that lady from the pocket World next door to make me a little nest—complete with its own space."

"Princess Kaguya originally suggested just setting it up in the corner of the room, but Master shot that down. Eventually, they put my nest out on the balcony. There's just a door between it and their room."

'That's not exactly different now, is it?' Inukimi thought silently.

"Still want to come in?" Hagoromo offered again, smiling slyly. "If you don't want to bother the Princess, you can come in through the balcony instead."

"…Fine." Inukimi gave a short nod.

Meanwhile…

World-∞, Excellent Girls' Academy – Chairman's Office

Veyron was seated behind his desk, signing off on the mountain of documents that had piled up during his absence.

The identity he'd fabricated to complete a bond mission in World-2—Chairman of Excellent Girls' Academy—had somehow not disappeared after the world fusion event.

In fact, it had carried over and become his official status in this merged world.

That was one of the main reasons why the dimensional Chat Group had determined World-∞ to be his world too.

Once he finished signing the last file, he didn't immediately pass it to the black-stockinged, high-heeled secretary seated across from him. Instead, he drummed his fingers on the desk and looked up.

"You've been working here for nearly three months now, right?"

"Yes," the secretary nodded, completely composed. She'd been hired shortly after he became chairman, mainly to handle miscellaneous school matters. "In two more days, it'll be exactly three months."

"You getting the hang of things around here?"

"I've already met with most of the department heads and teachers. With the authority you granted me, they've all been very cooperative."

"Good."

Veyron slid the signed documents over to her. "Once you're done processing these, start setting up a new class in each grade. Pick the top forty-nine students from each year."

"Understood."

She didn't ask why—as a competent secretary, she knew better than to question the chairman's decisions. Her job was to execute, not analyze. Still, she did clarify the execution plan.

"When you say 'top students,' should I go by grades only, or consider other factors too?"

"Grades come first," Veyron replied, "but if someone's got a special talent, that counts as bonus points."

He gave an example. "I think there's a student who made the news for swimming? Some kind of record holder?"

"You're probably thinking of Kamisuura Risa, third-year. She's an Olympic-level swimmer," the secretary answered promptly. She quickly ran through her mental index of the school's notable students.

"Yeah, she counts."

Veyron had, of course, memorized all the student files the moment he took over the academy—but he was satisfied with the secretary's quick and professional response.

After jotting down both Risa's name and Veyron's new class plan in her personal notepad, she asked, "Do you have any specific curriculum in mind for this special class?"

"Let them stick to their regular classes for now," Veyron said. "I'll give you additional instructions once I've sorted it out."

"Understood."

With that, the secretary gathered the documents from his desk, gracefully closed the office door behind her, and left. The sound of her high heels tapping down the hall slowly faded away.

Veyron walked over to the window, hands behind his back, gazing down at the girls having PE on the field below.

The idea for this special class? Total whim. He was just having some fun.

Ever since the worlds merged and humanity's growth cap jumped from 100% to 300%, things had been getting… interesting.

It had only been a little over a month since then.

Yet compared to the energy signature readings he got right after the fusion, there were now already over twenty people across the world who had pushed past the old 100% limit—some through physical strength, others via mental capacity.

This was exactly what the World Will had wanted from fusing three different worlds: evolving.

So naturally, Veyron figured he might as well stir things up and have some fun while he was at it.

His time-stopping pocket watch still worked after the world fusion—and it didn't just stop time. It also passively boosted the fate and potential of those around him within a certain range.

In other words, as long as he stayed at Excellent Girls' Academy, all the teachers and students here were basically getting the "protagonist-lite" treatment. If he didn't make something interesting out of this setup, wouldn't that be a complete waste of his position as chairman?

With the level of power he had now, whipping up a few physical or spiritual training techniques for the students was child's play.

Honestly, if World-0's World Will hadn't been such a coward…

The first two merged worlds—World-1 (K-On!) and World-2 (School Time Stop)—weren't exactly brimming with extraordinary potential.

One was just a wholesome slice-of-life anime, and the other's only useful artifact was the time-stop pocket watch, which Veyron already had.

If not for the lack of usable "resources," he could've easily turned Excellent Girls' Academy into a full-on supernatural school straight out of a magical revival setting.

"Come on, World… pull yourself together."

Veyron's mind connected with the World Will as he entered a state of spiritual resonance with the world itself.

"We've only merged two worlds so far, and you're already chickening out? At least try bringing in a world with actual supernatural elements."

「...」

The World Will—formed by the fusion of three previous ones—responded, explaining that the Void was filled with unstable variables.

Sure, there were massive opportunities, but the risks were just as huge. With its current shallow foundation, the World Will wasn't confident it could handle a threat from another reality and would rather avoid making any bold moves for now.

However, it did not-so-subtly express that if Veyron happened to know of any suitable worlds to bring in, it was open to recommendations.

Veyron: "...…"

"Oh, I've got some great worlds I could recommend if you're looking to get devoured alive," he thought to himself.

Wait a second…

"You guys need specific conditions to lock onto other worlds, right?" he asked aloud. "If it's not too strict, I've actually been to a world before that might be perfect for what you're aiming for…"
