The train stopped at the station, and the three boys jumped out excitedly, eyes shining with curiosity.
Standing near the exit, Jun—the assistant—was already waiting for them, arms crossed. He adjusted his glasses and sighed the moment he saw them.
"Good, you didn't get lost this time."
Leo grinned. "Of course not! We are professionals!"
Haru nodded seriously. "Y-Yes, we made sure to follow the map!"
Riku held up a crumpled piece of paper. "Look! We drew a map last night!"
Jun stared at the paper. It was just random doodles of cats, arrows, and ice cream.
"…I don't even wanna ask."
He turned around and led them toward a massive shiny glass building—Renji Takahiro's company headquarters.
The boys' mouths dropped open.
"WHOOOOAAAA!"
"It's so shinyyyyy!"
"Is this made of diamonds?!"
They rushed to the front doors, practically pressing their faces against the glass.
The automatic doors slid open, and the three stumbled forward into the grand lobby.
A fancy receptionist, dressed in a sleek uniform, raised an eyebrow as she saw the three wide-eyed, clumsy boys gawking at everything.
She turned to Jun. "Assistant Jun, who are these… uh… guests?"
Jun sighed tiredly. "They're Mr. Renji's guests."
The receptionist blinked. "Seriously?"
Leo puffed his chest. "Yup! Mr. Renji personally invited us!"
Haru whispered. "T-This place is fancier than any café we ever worked at…"
Riku pointed at a big chandelier. "If that falls, do we all get rich?"
Jun grabbed all three by the collars before they could cause more embarrassment. "STOP thinking about chaotic scenarios! Let's just go!"
They entered the elevator—the walls were made of glass, and the moment they started moving up, the boys freaked out.
"ARE WE FLYING?!"
"NOOO! THE FLOOR IS MOVING!"
"WHAT IF WE NEVER COME BACK DOWN?!"
Jun pinched the bridge of his nose. "It's just an elevator, not a spaceship!"
Ding! The doors opened.
The boys stumbled out and entered Renji's office.
The room was huge, with a full city view, leather couches, and bookshelves filled with expensive books the boys couldn't read.
The three froze.
Riku whispered. "Guys… we've never seen so much… richness in our lives."
Haru held his breath. "Even the air smells expensive!"
Leo jumped onto the couch. "THIS FEELS LIKE SITTING ON A CLOUD!"
Jun facepalmed. "Please, behave…"
At that moment, the door opened.
And Renji Takahiro walked in.
The boys immediately jumped to their feet, standing as straight as possible.
Leo saluted. "MR. BOSS SIR!"
Haru bowed. "T-Thank you for inviting us!"
Riku whispered. "S-Should we kneel?!"
Renji raised an eyebrow. "…Why do you look like you're about to beg for mercy?"
Leo laughed nervously. "Haha! W-We just don't know how to act in rich people's houses!"
Renji chuckled. "Relax. It's just an office." He sat at his desk and rested his chin on his hand.
"So, tell me…" He smirked. "Why were you so eager to come here?"
The three boys froze.
…Wait.
WHY did they want to come here again?!
