Chapter 10

The next day, I woke up to find it was pouring outside.

Fat raindrops pelted against the window, inexplicably irritating.

When I pulled back the curtains, I discovered someone standing down below.

Upon closer inspection, I realized it was Nolan.

The man's figure was tall, but his face had grown much paler.

Despite the torrential rain, he stood there motionless, refusing to budge.

As if sensing my presence, Nolan slightly raised his head, instantly spotting me.

His eyes lit up as he pulled out his phone from his soaked pocket.

Moments later, my phone received a message.

It was from Nolan.

[Sloane, have you calmed down?]

[I shouldn't have upset you. I'll accept my punishment.]

Through the curtain of rain, Nolan's features became blurred.

Seeing this, I should have been pleased.

But I just indifferently lowered the curtain, sighing to myself.

The rain is so heavy.

The next second, my phone received another message.
