Chapter 2: Dividing the Inheritance

Six hours later, the plane landed.

Xiao Yang had explored every conceivable position with Su Xiao in the first-class suite. "I need to fly back now," she murmured while straightening his collar, her breath warm against his ear. "But remember—I'm yours alone from now on."

He glanced at her unbuttoned uniform blouse and smirked. "I'll call you after handling family matters, darling." He didn't mention the apocalypse. She was merely one petal in his garden of conquests—though he'd send a warning text on Day 9. Good luck, girl.

The Xiao family villa thrummed with tension. Stepmother Zhang Li and half-brother Xiao Ren glared icily as Xiao Yang entered. Wang Jian—his father's sworn brother and the corporate CFO—rose with counterfeit warmth. "We've been waiting! Let's hear the will."

Attorney Chen cleared his throat. "Per Chairman Xiao Feng's final wishes: Xiao Yang inherits all corporate shares. Zhang Li and Xiao Ren receive two villas and 2 billion in cash."

Zhang Li's face drained of color. "Impossible!" She snatched the documents, hands trembling as she scanned them. Xiao Ren kicked the coffee table. "200 billion in shares for him? I'm the one who actually worked at the company!"

Wang Jian interjected smoothly, "Given Xiao Yang's lack of experience, we propose a transition period to stabilize—"

"Save the performance." Xiao Yang's laugh cut through the room. "Keep the shares. I'll take Purple Mountain Villa plus 2.5 billion cash."

Dead silence.

Zhang Li's eyelashes flickered—a tell Xiao Yang remembered from childhood poker games. "Why?" she hissed.

"Simple math." He leaned back, savoring their confusion. "Ten days to liquidate shares? Too messy. Cold hard cash travels faster."

Xiao Ren lunged forward. "But Purple Mountain Villa is mine! I promised friends—"

"Shut your mouth!" Zhang Li's slap echoed off the marble floors. The idiot couldn't see this deal made them trillionaires—they could buy ten villas later.

Within an hour, contracts were signed. Xiao Yang's phone chimed—2,500,000,000.00 now glowing in his account.

Wang Jian offered a sweaty handshake. "Wise choice, nephew."

Xiao Yang ignored him, staring at the vaulted ceiling where security cameras whirred. Let them celebrate stealing crumbs. By the time they realize cash is worthless in nine days…

He'd already won.
