Chapter 35: Logic Lesson

"...Logic is like the scone of afternoon tea; without jam, it loses its soul," Victor said, lifting his Earl Grey tea, his gray-blue eyes gazing at Lily, who was biting on her pen.

"For example, if you're hungry, what would you do?"

"Eat something!"

"Exactly. Hunger necessitates eating, so you take action. Where would you go next?"

"Supermarket, restaurant, or a café."

"See, logic is that simple. Hunger drives behavior, and behavior directs you to a destination. This isn't taught by anyone; it's logic itself.

"Another example, if you want to paint a picture, what do you need to prepare?"

"Hmm... canvas, paints, easel, and then buy a cup of hot cocoa, and I can start creating!"

"Hot cocoa is a personal preference, unrelated to logic. But painting requires tools, that's the core logic."

In the room, Victor Black was patiently teaching Lily White.

Although he admired the girl's naivety, he had to admit, she was the most troublesome student he had ever tutored.

The door gently opened, and Isabella Gray walked in with a fruit platter: "Take a break, have some fruit."

"Great!" Lily cheered, jumping up.

"Thank you for your hard work, she's always so childish," Isabella said with a wry smile.

Victor's lips curled slightly: "It's not hard work, rather interesting."

Isabella always felt a sense of oppression when facing Victor. Even though she was three years older, she always felt like a little girl in front of him, as if her IQ dropped a notch. Her brother Sebastian had said that Victor was an "abyss-like existence"—she now deeply agreed.

There was a noise from the hallway, and Sebastian Gray appeared at the door.

"Hey buddy, how's giving Lily a logic lesson? Feel like stuffing her into the interrogation room at Scotland Yard?"

Victor chuckled: "Progress is slow, but she's trying hard."

"Victor is still the best!" Lily stuck her tongue out at Sebastian.
