Alexander starts noticing strange patterns—his fights are being rigged, his past enemies are resurfacing, and Eve is being watched. He suspects Carver but soon realizes something darker is at play. Clues begin to surface, leading him toward a familiar ghost—his father. The realization creeps in slowly, clawing at his mind.
He stands in front of a bloodied mirror, peeling off the bandages from his fresh wound. Eve watches him from the doorway, worry etching deep into her features.
"You're shutting me out again," she says quietly.
Alexander exhales sharply, his hands flexing against the sink. "This isn't something you can fix, Eve."
"Then let me break with you."
She steps closer, pressing a hand against his back, but Alexander stiffens. The past is circling him like vultures, and he can feel the cold grip of his father tightening once again.
"Some ghosts don't haunt you," he murmurs. "They control you from the shadows, pulling the strings until you become their puppet."
And for the first time in years, Alexander wonders if he's ever truly been free.
