No More Rules

Mia paced across Lucas's penthouse, her heart pounding with fury and fear. The image of her brother bruised, bound, helpless was burned into her mind.

Victor had gone too far.

Lucas leaned against the kitchen counter, his jaw clenched. "We need to move fast," he said, his voice low and dangerous. "Victor isn't bluffing."

Mia stopped, turning to face him. "I'm done waiting. I want him back tonight."

Lucas's lips curved into a wicked smile one that promised violence. "Then let's make him pay."

He pulled out his phone and dialed. Within minutes, his most trusted contact Jax, a former enforcer with a reputation for making people disappear arrived.

Jax gave Mia a once-over, his sharp eyes lingering. "So, this is the girl who's got Victor losing his mind."

"Cut the shit," Lucas snapped. "We need to find her brother now."

Jax smirked but nodded. "I know where Victor keeps his leverage. An old warehouse by the docks. If he's holding the kid, that's where he'll be."

Mia grabbed her coat, adrenaline coursing through her veins. "Let's go."

Lucas caught her wrist, pulling her close. "Stay behind me," he warned. "If Victor touches you, I'll fucking kill him."

She met his gaze, her voice hard. "I'm not afraid of him."

But she was afraid of losing Ethan.

The warehouse reeked of oil and rust. Shadows stretched across the cold concrete as Lucas led the way, a gun tucked against his side.

Mia's pulse raced as Jax picked the lock. When the door swung open, the sight inside made her blood boil.

Ethan.

Bruised. Bound. But alive.

Victor stood over him, a sick smile twisting his lips. "I knew you'd come," he drawled, his eyes locking on Mia. "You've always been predictable."

Mia stepped forward, her voice cold. "Let him go."

Victor chuckled. "Or what? You'll run to Lucas? You think he can protect you?" His gaze darkened. "You were mine first, Mia. Don't forget that."

Lucas raised his gun, his expression lethal. "Touch her again, and I'll blow your fucking head off."

The tension snapped.

Jax moved fast grabbing Ethan while Lucas kept his gun trained on Victor. But Mia wasn't done.

She stepped closer, her voice like steel. "You don't own me. And after tonight, you won't own anything."

Victor's smile faded as she held up her phone. "I sent your entire operation to the feds," she said, her heart thudding. "By morning, your empire's gone."

His face twisted with rage. "You little"

Lucas struck first. One punch brutal and unforgiving sent Victor crashing to the ground.

Mia crouched beside him, her voice soft but deadly. "This is over. You lost."

She stood, grabbing Ethan's hand. "Let's go."

Back at the penthouse, the adrenaline wore off, leaving Mia trembling. Lucas pulled her into his arms, his touch softer now. "It's done," he murmured. "He can't hurt you anymore."

But as Mia leaned into him, she knew one thing for certain

Victor might be down… but the war wasn't over.
