Controlling the Untamable

With a sly grin, I observed the figure standing before me, a striking resemblance to my own reflection. The gathering of guests was in full swing, and the bidding had commenced, igniting a fervor in the air.

The bids escalated swiftly, soaring to a peak of 200 gold coins. Unfazed by the escalating numbers, I exuded confidence as I raised my paddle, ready to make my move. "I will take him, bidding 400 gold," I declared, my voice resonating with authority, capturing the attention of those around me.

"400 gold once. 400 gold twice. 400 gold thrice," the auctioneer's voice boomed across the room, sealing the deal and marking the end of the bidding war.

"The transaction is settled," the auctioneer proclaimed, his voice cutting through the room's murmur. "All the purchased slaves will be confined to the back room. Guests, kindly proceed there to collect your newly acquired possessions."

I ventured into the dimly lit back room, anticipation bubbling within me as I approached to claim my latest acquisition. The young boy stood before me, a pitiful figure, yet there was an intensity in his eyes that betrayed a smoldering grudge.

As a connoisseur of human emotions, I swiftly recognized the flicker of bloodlust within the boy's innocent facade. It was a dangerous fire, one that required careful handling.

"Madam," the guard, his grip firm on the boy's shackles, began, "this collar will aid you in controlling your new slave."

I arched an eyebrow, my curiosity piqued. "Greetings, child! I am your new master. Do you possess a name?" I inquired, my tone laced with a playful edge, as if we were engaging in a game.

The boy remained silent, his lips sealed tightly, refusing to offer even a whisper of his identity.

"Hmm, it seems he is quite the challenge," I mused, relishing the prospect of exerting my control over such a spirited individual.

"No need to worry, young lady. This child will obey once you activate his punishment collar," the guard interjected promptly, offering a solution to the brewing challenge.

"Remove that abhorrent contraption from my servant at once," I commanded, my demeanor radiating intimidation, leaving no room for hesitation. The guard promptly complied, removing the collar and liberating the boy from its clutches.

"As you do not yet possess a name, I shall name you Lusav," I announced, lifting his head gently with my hands, my gaze locking with his. Although wearied, the boy possessed piercing sapphire eyes that exuded a palpable, almost murderous aura.

Taking Lusav by my side, I secured a carriage for our impending journey, knowing full well that a treacherous path filled with perils awaited us. Yet, with my acquired servant by my side, I relished the challenges that lay ahead, for I had a distinct talent for taming the untamable.
