Chapter 5: The Challenger from Beyond

The Echoing Voice in the Void

Long before Xalveth descended into the human world, before the dimensional rift opened, before this world became aware of something beyond its reach…

Beyond the limits of existence, among the layers of reality that could only be inhabited by beings who had transcended the very concept of existence itself, a voice was heard.

Not a voice that could be heard by ears.

Not a voice born from vibrations in the air.

But a voice that echoed within the very core of all that exists.

"Something that should not exist has entered the human world."

"And it cannot be left unsupervised."

In that void, upon a throne without form, Vehova opened his eyes.

His eyes were unlike those of humans or any mortal creature.

They did not reflect light—they created darkness.

Eyes that, for anyone who stared too long, would strip away the meaning of their own existence.

Vehova was not merely a being.

He was one of the highest extensions of the Outverse Lords.

An entity so great that even gods worshiped him.

Those who had achieved immortality could still die.

Those who had transcended time could still be forgotten.

But Vehova was a concept that could not be destroyed.

And now, he sensed something disturbing the balance of reality.

Xalveth.

Something even the Outverse Lords could not comprehend.

Vehova did not move hastily. He did not need to.

When he thought of being somewhere, reality itself adjusted so that he was already there.

And as Xalveth walked the human world, Vehova was already waiting.

The Sky Cracks, the World Trembles

At the same time, in the human world…

The once-blue sky darkened.

As if something lay beyond that darkness—not just shadows, but absolute nothingness capable of erasing everything.

People began collapsing, not because they were injured, but because their souls rejected the existence of something they were never meant to comprehend.

Across the world, mages, lesser gods, and those attuned to other dimensions felt an inexplicable fear.

And among them, some realized something.

"This is no longer just about Xalveth."

"Something else has arrived."

And that was when Vehova appeared.

No sound.

No explosion of energy.

No grand phenomenon.

He simply existed.

And the world bowed before him.

Xalveth vs. Vehova: The Clash of Fate

Xalveth, who had been walking aimlessly, finally stopped.

He gazed at the figure before him.

There was no expression on his face.

But if anyone could interpret his emotions, it would be something close to curiosity.

Vehova stared back.

For a long time.

Silence.

Then, for the first time since his existence began, Vehova spoke with a voice that could be heard.

"I know who you are."

Xalveth remained silent.

"I know what you are doing."

Xalveth did not react.

"And I will end this before you go any further."

The Concept of Resistance Erased from Reality

Vehova raised his hand.

An energy formed. Not ordinary energy—but something older than time itself.

This power could erase the very concept of existence.

Not just kill.

Not just destroy.

But erase from being.

Even immortal beings would not survive this attack.

Vehova did not hesitate.

He released it.

And in that moment, something happened.

Or rather…

Nothing happened.

Vehova looked at his hand.

His attack did not fail.

His attack had never even occurred in the first place.

And for the first time in his existence, he felt confusion.

Why?

Why did an attack meant to erase existence itself never happen?

And then, he realized something truly terrifying.

The concept of resistance itself had been erased from reality.

Not because Xalveth fought back.

Not because some other force blocked it.

But because Xalveth's very existence made resistance impossible.

Resistance could only exist if two forces stood on equal ground.

And for Xalveth…

There was nothing on his level.

Vehova fell silent.

He, who could not be defeated, now faced something that could not be opposed.

And in that suffocating silence…

Vehova knelt.

The World Witnesses the Impossible Fall

Across the world, entities witnessing this event could not believe what they saw.

An existence that had been invincible

Bowed his head.

No struggle.

No force.

No grand destruction.

No cosmic explosion.

Just the acknowledgment of something greater.

And for the limited human world…

They could not even comprehend what had just occurred.

Xalveth Continues His Journey

Xalveth said nothing.

He merely glanced at Vehova for a moment, then turned and continued his journey.

While Vehova remained where he was, still kneeling, still trying to understand why he, who should never have bowed, submitted so easily.

But Xalveth did not care.

He did not see himself as a ruler.

He did not see himself as a destroyer.

He simply existed.

Yet within himself, there was still one unanswered question.

What was the purpose of all this?

Even he still wondered—what was he searching for?

In the distance, the world still struggled to understand the meaning of his presence.

And from beyond reality, other entities began to take notice.

Because if someone like Vehova could not resist him

Then was there anything in all of existence that could?
