Chapter 15

"Anya!" Glaiza ran up to me. I didn't expect her to be here because she was at the other house, right? The one Oliver's own house.

"What are you doing here, Glaiza?"

"Sir wants you to go home because he's coming home later."

I didn't have any belongings here at the mansion except for my cellphone.

"Is it time to go already?" She nodded firmly.

Oliver left earlier after I ate. I didn't know where he went, he just said it was important. Good thing he didn't tell me to wait for him again. Because if he did, I wouldn't have waited for him.

"Wait for me, I'll just say goodbye," I told Glaiza.

It would be rude if I didn't say goodbye to Oliver's parents.

When I went back inside the mansion, I felt like I didn't want to say goodbye anymore. How could I find them in this huge house?

'Maybe I shouldn't say goodbye after all?'

I was about to leave when I heard the sound of high heels walking. I turned around to see who it was. It was Sapphire, accompanied by another woman.

The woman's style was similar to Sapphire's, and she was really stunning, with curly hair.

"Oh, here she is." Sapphire suddenly grabbed my arm to introduce me to the other woman. The way the woman looked at me was insulting, as if she was judging my entire being.

"You're right, Sapphire." Then they both laughed together. Were they laughing at me?

"Why are you laughing?" I clenched my fists.

"Does that even need to be asked? Of course, you're laughable. Let's go, Natasha." Sapphire rolled her eyes at me before turning around with Natasha.

"What's so special about that girl? I just can't accept it," I heard Natasha say as they walked away.

I didn't bother looking for Oliver's cousin and his parents anymore. I might as well just leave without saying goodbye. I went outside, and Glaiza was waiting for me by the gate.

"What's wrong? Why do you look so upset, Anya?" Glaiza noticed my frown. I got into the car, noticing that Austine wasn't the driver today.

"Do you know Sapphire's friend?" I asked Glaiza.

"Yes, that's Ma'am Natasha. She often visits Sir's house," Glaiza replied, and I couldn't help but laugh at the thought that Natasha often visits Oliver.

"Why does she go there?"

"Ma'am Natasha has feelings for Sir. They were actually arranged to be married since they were kids, but when she found out that the engagement was off, she got really angry. She was in abroad, but she quickly came back when she heard that Sir had a new fiancée."

Well, now I understand why she reacted that way when she saw me earlier. But there's nothing I can do about it since I took her place, no, it was Anya Naces.

"Besides, it seems like Sir isn't interested in her either. She always visits the house, but whenever she does, Sir doesn't come home."

I don't know if I should feel sorry for Natasha. Of course, she's been thinking that she'd marry Oliver since they were kids, but it turns out that's not going to happen.

Just a few minutes later, I arrived at Christian's house. I think I prefer calling him Christian because almost everyone calls him Oliver. Besides, that's the name he introduced himself to me.

I went inside the house to rest, but I hadn't even reached the first step of the stairs when someone arrived.

"You're here?" She raised an eyebrow as she said this.

I didn't expect her to come here today. Glaiza was right that Natasha visits here. Sorry, but she bumped into me instead. I smiled before I replied to Natasha.

"Yes, don't worry, I'll always be the one to welcome you whenever you visit." Natasha was clearly annoyed by my response, but she was trying to hold it in.

"How dare you! Remember, you're not yet married to Oliver, but you're already acting like his wife here. Know your place, your social status is far lower than mine!"

I smiled slightly before responding, "I do know my place, that's why I'm here now. Do you need something?" Natasha's irritation was becoming more and more apparent.

"I just wanted to tease her, I didn't know she was sensitive. She was really good at insulting me earlier when she was with Sapphire.

"I don't need you, I need Oliver. I have something to give him."

"How's that possible when he's not here? You might as well give it to me, you'll get used to it eventually. Especially when I become his wife."

"You're so shameless—" She didn't get to finish what she was saying because I took the card from her hand.

"Is this what you were going to give Christian? I'll give it to him instead." I teased her.

"Give it to me! That's not for you. I'll just wait for him here."

"Who said you're allowed to wait here? If you want to wait for him, do it outside!" I quickly pushed her out of the house, and she almost fell. Luckily, she didn't, or I would have been worried. I don't want to make an enemy here.

"Ahh! You bitch! Remember, this isn't over!" She stormed out of the house. She even forgot to take the card I was holding. I opened it, and it just contained an invitation to her birthday. I thought it was something more important.

*********

After dinner, I stayed in the living room, waiting for Christian. I wanted to give him Natasha's invitation card. I felt sorry for her if Christian didn't find out. Besides, I was expecting Oliver to scold me when he got home. Maybe Natasha already complained about me. I'd accept it if he got mad. I just wanted to provoke Natasha earlier because of the insulting way she looked at me.

I stood up when I heard Christian's car arrive. Suddenly, I felt restless. I was calm earlier, but now I felt nervous. I could hear his footsteps approaching. Our eyes met, and I felt like I was in a trance. His smile accompanied our gaze, making me feel even more stunned.

"Waiting for me?" His words brought me back to reality.

"Yeah, I was waiting for you to give you this. It's from Natasha, she wanted me to give it to you." But as soon as he heard Natasha's name, his expression changed. He seemed to lose his good mood.

"Tsk, just throw it away if you want." He replied angrily.

"Are you mad at me?" I asked, confused. He was smiling when he arrived, but now he seemed angry.

"Nope, why would I be mad?"

So, he doesn't know that I kicked Natasha out earlier.

"Do you know how to cook?" he suddenly asked.

"Yes, I do." I quickly replied.

"Can you cook dinner for me tonight? Wait, have you eaten already?"

"I've already eaten."

"That's good, but it would be better if we eat together next time. No worries, I'll just head home earlier next time so I can eat with you."

He walked away, heading up the stairs without even waiting for my response. I was left thinking about what he said. I wanted to slap myself. I couldn't fall for him. I'm not Anya Naces, I'm here to pretend and spy.

Yes, I need to spy on Oliver's family. I need to know their every move. I also need to gather information about their organization, which only Christian handles. At first, I thought I was just going to pretend to be someone else, but it turns out I'm going to be a spy. So, I need to get closer to Oliver to gather information.

Oliver's uncle is the founder of the Secret Protection Agency, which always gets in the way of our organization's plans. When I found out about all this, I finally understood why I was assigned to this mission. Why I had to pretend to be someone else - it was all part of the organization's plan.
