Chapter 19: Battle Between Alpha Males

Champ's POV

Jiggs let out a strangled cry as his body collapsed onto the cold, unyielding floor.

Blood trickled from his nose, his skin growing paler by the second. His lips trembled, drained of life, and his body convulsed under an unseen force—Silver's presence.

I lunged toward him, desperation burning in my veins. My hands reached for his limp form, determined to pull him away, to save him.

But then—it hit me.

The weight of Silver's presence crashed into me like an unseen wall, pressing down on my body, seeping into my very bones. My limbs grew sluggish, my breath shallow.

I could barely move.

I clenched my jaw, forcing the words out.

"Silver! Stop this! Enough!"

A slow, sinister chuckle echoed through the space.

"Enough?" Silver sneered. "Oh, no, Champ. I haven't even begun."

His eyes gleamed with wicked amusement. "I want to hear you beg. I want to see you drop to your knees, kiss my feet, and worship me as your God."

A shiver crawled up my spine.

He was toying with us. Enjoying this.

I knew words wouldn't sway him. Nothing would.

The only way to end this was to fight.

But how?

Jiggs was barely holding on, and I—I was weakening with every second.

I turned to Jiggs, my voice barely a whisper. "Jiggs, please... stay with me. Don't close your eyes. Don't give in."

Summoning what little strength I had left, I forced my body to move. I hooked my arms under his and lifted him.

My muscles screamed. My lungs burned.

But I wouldn't stop.

Silver tilted his head, watching with interest.

"Fascinating..." he mused. "You're resisting me. How? No one withstands my presence. No Omega has ever—"

My breath hitched.

He knew.

He knew what I was.

I stiffened. "How—"

Silver grinned, his teeth sharp like a predator's. "How do I know?" He took a step forward. "That's not important. What matters is that I want you. And when I take you, you will bear my child."

My stomach lurched.

I knew why he was after me.

He wanted an Omega.

And he had chosen me.

Panic clawed at my chest, but I had no time to dwell on it.

Jiggs was fading—fast. His body darkened, veins turning an unnatural black as if something was eating away at his very existence.

I felt my heart break.

Tears blurred my vision, hot and stinging.

Fear. Despair. Rage.

But no—I refused to give up.

If Jiggs had risked everything for me, then I would do the same for him.

I wiped my tears. My arms tightened around his weakened frame.

"Jiggs... We are getting out of here."

With sheer willpower, I moved.

Silver did nothing. He simply stood there, a smirk playing on his lips.

He was letting me go.

Because he thought I wouldn't make it.

Because he knew—no one escapes him.

Watch me, Silver.

I staggered forward. One step. Then another.

I felt his gaze burning into my back. He was enjoying this, waiting for me to collapse under the weight of his presence.

But then—

"There they are!"

The air tensed.

I froze.

Out of the shadows, they appeared.

Beta males and their leaders.

From the three Alpha clans we encountered earlier.

Hunters.

Killers.

Sent to track us.

Tears welled in my eyes, but I bit them back. I couldn't afford to break. Not now.

Jiggs stirred slightly. His color was slowly—painfully—returning as we were moving away from Silver's presence.

I laid him down gently.

"Jiggs... stay here. I'll handle this."

I straightened, inhaling deeply.

Silver's presence had weakened just enough for me to stand tall.

I wiped the remnants of my tears, replacing them with resolve.

I had lost too much.

I wouldn't lose again.

One of the Alpha leaders stepped forward, sneering. "You're alone. What can you possibly do against us?"

Another smirked. "Give up, and we'll make it painless."

The third chuckled darkly. "And when we're done with you... we'll take care of him." He motioned toward Silver, who still stood in the distance, watching like an amused god overseeing a game of slaughter.

I exhaled slowly.

Then I grinned.

"You can try."

The moment the words left my lips—

They charged.

And I fought like hell.

They had weapons.

I had my fists.

I moved like a shadow, weaving between attacks, my body a blur of speed and instinct. Every blow I landed sent a Beta male crashing to the ground, but no matter how many I struck down, more came.

Endless. Relentless.

It was clear now—our Beta males had failed. They couldn't stop the flood of enemies closing in. We were outnumbered.

Still, I fought. I pushed forward. My breath was ragged, my muscles burning, but I refused to stop. I could take them.

At least... that's what I thought.

Until—

"Ugh! Nghh!"

Pain exploded in my leg. From an unknown distance, someone struck me with a sharp object that buried itself deep into my right thigh.

I collapsed onto one knee, my fingers clawing at the foreign object lodged in my flesh. My breath hitched.

What the hell was this?

One of the Alpha leaders stepped forward, sneering.

"That," he drawled, "is to ensure you don't run anymore. The poison will spread, numbing your leg completely. You won't be able to fight back."

Damn it.

I gritted my teeth, forcing myself to stand despite the growing numbness. My right leg was already useless—I couldn't feel it.

The Alphas closed in.

"It's over," one of them said.

I exhaled sharply.

My body screamed in protest, but I still forced myself to rise, standing on my one good leg.

But deep inside, I knew.

This was it.

The end.

I lost.

I couldn't win.

The only thing that's left to do is to get away from here.

We have to retreat.

But where?

Then, I looked at the unconscious lying figure of Jiggs.

With the remaining strength I had left, I started crawling towards him.

"Jiggs, we'll make it out alive. Stay with me, don't die..." I huffed as I tried to carry him.

Then, another sharp pain had just landed on my left thigh.

I screamed so loud that it echoed through the whole place and that's when my body fell together with Jiggs.

They struck me with another sharp object that made my both legs numb.

That's when my body fell through the ground that made all the beta and the Alpha males smirk and laugh as they won against their prey.

And when I couldn't walk anymore, I closed my eyes, slowly and painfully thinking is this the end?

And then—

(SMASH!)

(CRACK!)

(THUD!)

The sound of bodies hitting the ground.

Not Jiggs.

Not... mine.

I opened my eyes—and my breath caught in my throat.

A storm had descended upon the battlefield.

A single figure, tearing through the enemy like they were nothing.

Limbs snapped. Blood sprayed. The once-unstoppable Alphas and their Betas fell like leaves in a storm, crushed beneath his raw, terrifying power.

My heart stopped.

"Deux..." I whispered, my voice trembling.

My legs buckled.

Not from weakness.

Not from pain.

But from relief.

I almost laughed, the sight before me so surreal.

Deux—cold, ruthless, untouchable—was wiping them out. His movements were effortless, like a predator slaughtering prey. He was a force of nature, moving with deadly precision, taking down Alphas and Betas alike without a single hesitation.

His eyes...

Burning. Fierce. Unwavering.

He wasn't just fighting.

He was protecting.

Protecting me.

My heartbeat thundered against my ribs, a wild, desperate rhythm that matched the chaos around us. Blood, smoke, and the raw scent of adrenaline clung to the air. The battlefield was a storm, and Deux was the lightning tearing through it, relentless, unstoppable.

But then—

A flash in my peripheral vision.

A Beta male—wounded, desperate, his face twisted in rage and agony. He staggered, barely standing, but his grip was steady. Too steady.

Gun with an arrow, aimed at Deux.

I didn't think.

I moved.

"DEUX! BEHIND YOU!" I screamed, voice raw, frantic.

Time warped. Slowed.

I saw the trigger pull. Heard the sharp click.

Saw the arrow release—swift, merciless—an arc of silver slicing through the air.

For one suffocating second, I thought—

This is it.

But then—

(SWOOSH!)

Deux moved.

Faster than my eyes could track. Faster than thought.

A blur. A whisper of motion.

His hand snatched the arrow mid-air—like it was nothing, like it had no weight, no threat.

And then—

Without a second of hesitation—

He threw it back.

The whistle of steel cut through the battlefield, a deadly answer to the attack.

The Beta male barely had time to react before the blade buried itself deep into his leg.

A scream.

A crash.

Then silence.

I let out a breath I hadn't realized I was holding, my entire body trembling with the aftershock. The tension in my muscles refused to fade, my nerves frayed to the breaking point.

"Deux..." I breathed, my throat tight.

He turned. His gaze—dark, unreadable—locked onto mine.

And then, in that quiet, his voice cut through everything.

"Thank you, Champ." His tone was grave. Low. Unshaken. "I'm sorry I was late." His eyes burned, unwavering. "But I'm here now. And no one—no one—is going to hurt you ever again."

My breath hitched.

Something inside me shifted.

My chest tightened. My throat dried.

I looked down at Jiggs—still unconscious beside me. Then back at Deux.

Was he serious?

Did he—?

I swallowed hard.

But there was no time to dwell on it.

Because Deux—he wasn't done.

The Alphas were still standing. The Betas were still coming.

And Deux?

He didn't hesitate.

He dived back into the fray.

Power exploded around him, raw, unrestrained, a force of nature tearing through the battlefield. Bodies fell. Chaos reigned. And Deux—Deux was at the center of it, a storm with no mercy.

I wanted to help him.

I wanted to fight by his side.

But my body—

It wouldn't move.

"Deux!" I shouted, my voice raw, desperate. My throat burned, but I didn't care. "You got this! Don't let them win! When this is over, I'll cook for you as much as you want! You can sleep at my place! You can take my damn bed!"

I didn't know why I said it.

I didn't even think.

The words just tore from me, reckless, frantic. A promise—an offering—something real in the middle of this chaos.

And then—

Deux...

He smiled.

Deux.

The coldest Alpha I knew.

The Alpha who never smiled.

Smiled.

It wasn't cruel. It wasn't mocking. It was something else—something I couldn't name, something that made my chest tighten like a vice.

A strange warmth bloomed inside me, a heat that had nothing to do with the battle raging around us. It spread through my ribs, curling in my stomach, twisting in my lungs. It was terrifying, this feeling—because I didn't understand it, didn't know what to do with it.

All I knew was that for the first time...

Deux wasn't the monster I feared.

He was something else entirely.

Something dangerous in a different way.

Something I wanted to look at forever.

I stood there, frozen, caught in the gravity of that moment—

Then—

Pain.

A crushing grip.

Fingers like steel clamped around my throat.

And yanked me backward.

The world blurred—spun—before slamming to a stop.

Air—gone.

My back hit something hard, a jagged explosion of agony blooming down my spine. My hands clawed at the grip, nails digging into skin, but it was like trying to pry open a locked vault.

A breathy chuckle ghosted against my ear.

"Gotcha," a voice rasped—low, guttural, filled with sick amusement.

My eyes widened in shock—I hadn't even sensed Silver's presence until now. His scent had been completely overpowered by the commanding, all-consuming presence of Deux. But now, none of that mattered. Silver had me in his grasp, his hold unbreakable, his strength overwhelming.

"Now... I will finally claim what is rightfully mine," Silver declared, his voice dripping with triumph.

Deux, who had been locked in battle, suddenly froze.

The remaining Alpha and Beta males around us crumbled to their knees, their strength drained by the sheer force of Silver's presence. Even I could feel my energy slipping away, my body betraying me—but I refused to give in. I fought against the weakness consuming me.

"Let go of Champ, Silver!" Deux's voice thundered through the battlefield.

And he was the only one left standing. The only one unfazed by Silver's suffocating presence. The only one capable of facing this nightmare head-on, as if it were nothing more than a mild inconvenience.

"It's too late, Deux," Silver said, tightening his grip on me. "The one you covet is already in my arms."

Deux's eyes darkened, a storm brewing in their depths. "Don't make me end your life right here and now. I still consider you my family—so let him go."

And then, I understood. The reason Deux was the only one who could stand against Silver... was because they shared the same blood. They were equals in power. Two unstoppable forces.

Silver laughed—softly at first, then louder, until it became a manic, unhinged sound. "You don't need to threaten me, Deux. I will do as I please."

His right hand seized my chin, tilting my head back, while his left held me in place like an iron vice.

"There is nothing you can do, Deux. This... this is my victory." His voice was laced with a sick satisfaction. "Do you see his flawless neck? Not a single mark. Smooth, untouched. I want you to take a good look at it, Deux—because this will be the last time you ever see it unmarked."

Panic exploded inside me.

"N-No! Please! Don't do this!" I struggled, but it was useless. He was too strong.

If he marked me, it would be over. My fate would be sealed.

I turned to Deux, my vision blurring with desperation.

"Deux..." My voice was barely a whisper, my strength fading fast. "Please... help me."

Silver smirked. "Watch closely, Deux. Witness how my mark will sink into this neck. The neck of an Omega—" he sneered, "—pretending to be an Alpha."

Silence.

Deux's expression shifted. His breath caught. He was... shocked.

And in that moment, my greatest secret unraveled before him.

The truth I had fought so hard to conceal from Deux—because it would mean my downfall—was now laid bare.

Now, he knew.

Now, there was no escaping the cruel reality of this world—where an Omega male like me had no place.

I felt Silver's breath against my skin. The sharp graze of his fangs. The moment was inevitable.

"Silver!" Deux's voice shattered through the suffocating tension like a bolt of lightning.

My heart slammed against my ribs.

A force rippled through the air.

Silver's grip faltered. His body staggered as if something had struck him from within.

I fell to my knees, gasping for breath.

And when I lifted my gaze—my trembling, exhausted gaze—it locked onto Deux.

His eyes burned like fire.

This was the same Deux I had seen before—the one who had unleashed his true Alpha nature. But now, it was different. This time, he was in complete control. Yet, his presence was far more terrifying.

Even Silver, a being of immense power, could not withstand the force radiating from Deux. His body trembled, his breath uneven. For the first time, Silver looked... afraid.

Deux moved forward, slow and deliberate, each step like a silent death sentence. His eyes—once filled with the warmth of familiarity—now regarded Silver as nothing more than an insect, a nuisance that needed to be crushed.

"Deux..." I whispered, my voice barely escaping my lips as I watched him approach Silver's broken form.

Silver gasped, his arrogance crumbling beneath the weight of Deux's dominance.

"D-Deux, w-wait! I was just joking!" His voice cracked, desperate.

And then I saw it. The first trickle of blood slipping from Silver's nose.

Deux hadn't even touched him yet. His presence alone was enough to break him.

This was the true power of Deux.

A force so absolute, so unrivaled, that even those of the highest bloodline could do nothing but kneel before him.

To Deux, no one was above him. There was no being greater. No force stronger.

No one... except himself.

"You... should die." Deux's voice was cold, emotionless.

And in that moment, I realized—he wasn't even seeing me anymore. He wasn't seeing anything except the one thing his instincts demanded...

Silver's death.

In the next breath, Deux's hand shot forward, gripping Silver's throat with a force that made bones crack.

Silver's body convulsed, his hands clawing desperately at Deux's wrist, but it was useless.

"D-Deux! No—!" Silver gasped, his words choked by the crushing grip around his neck. "Y-you can't kill me!"

But Deux didn't falter. He didn't even blink.

There was no hesitation. No mercy.

Only the unwavering intent to end this. To end Silver.

I could see it in his eyes.

He was lost in it.

And I knew... if I didn't stop him now, he wouldn't stop at Silver.

He wouldn't stop at all.

The grip around Silver's throat only tightened, his windpipe crushing under Deux's merciless hold. I could see the veins in his forehead bulging, his skin turning a sickly shade of purple. Any second now, his skull would give in to the sheer force—exploding like fragile glass under the pressure of Deux's wrath.

I knew Silver was ruthless, manipulative—a monster in his own right—but I couldn't stand the thought of Deux committing murder. Not like this. Not with his own blood on his hands.

"Deux... that's enough. You've already proven you're the strongest! Please, stop!" I pleaded, my voice shaking.

But Deux didn't stop. He didn't even acknowledge my words.

His only focus was Silver's death.

"D-Deux!" Silver gasped, his voice barely a whisper now. "I-I swear! If you kill me, y-you won't have peace! This will start a war—a war between our families!"

But even with the threat of chaos, Deux didn't waver. He remained unmoved, his grip steady, unwavering, lethal.

Silver's body convulsed, his limbs trembling as he fought with the last of his strength. His fingers clawed desperately at Deux's arm, but it was futile.

"Please, Stop!" I tried again, but Deux didn't even flinch.

"Deux, please... calm down." My voice was breaking now, laced with desperation.

"Ack... nghh—!" Silver choked, his body twitching violently. His lips parted, but no more words came out—only a weak, strangled sound as the life drained from his eyes. His head was darkening, turning a deathly shade of blue. Any second now... he would die.

And when that happened, Deux would never have peace again.

Not only would he have to live with the weight of his actions, but Silver's words would come true. Deux's family, Silver's family—this act of murder would ignite something far worse than just a battle between two Alphas. It would bring war.

I couldn't let it happen.

With the last of my strength, I forced myself to my feet, my legs shaking violently beneath me.

"DEUX!" I screamed, my voice echoing like a desperate cry in the silence. "Come back to me! Come back to the Deux I know!"

And in that moment, I squeezed my eyes shut, afraid of what would happen next.

Then—

A thud.

I snapped my eyes open, breath hitching.

Silver's body had collapsed onto the ground, unmoving.

But what shocked me even more...

Was Deux.

He was kneeling.

Both of them were.

"W-What's happening?" I gasped.

"I... I can't move my body!" Silver rasped, coughing up blood. His fingers twitched uselessly, his body completely paralyzed but his body is forcing him to kneel unconsciously.

Deux, on the other hand, was silent. His chest rose and fell in ragged breaths, his gaze locked onto the floor as if lost in thought. His presence, once suffocatingly dominant, had dulled, as if something had pulled him back to reality.

And then—

I heard it.

A rustling around us.

I turned sharply, my heart pounding, and my breath hitched at the sight.

The Alpha leaders. The remaining Beta males. Those who had still been conscious.

They were all kneeling.

Not just kneeling—unable to move.

Their heads were lowered. Their bodies were still. Their faces were frozen in expressions of shock and confusion.

It was as if something had seized complete control over them.

And somehow, I knew...

It was because of me.

A cold shiver ran down my spine as I stared at them, their motionless figures filling me with a sinking dread.

"M-Maybe... this is the true power of an Omega male..." Silver croaked weakly, his bloodied lips curving into something between realization and horror.

I turned to him, my breath caught in my throat.

"What do you mean?" I asked cautiously.

Silver chuckled—painfully, weakly—but there was something dark behind his gaze.

"This... this is why the Alpha Kings want Omega males erased," he murmured.

My chest tightened.

The weight of his words sank deep into my mind, unraveling something I had never understood before.

Deux turned to Silver, his expression unreadable, but I could see it in his eyes—he was confused, just like me.

But when he shifted his gaze back to me, something else flickered in his stare.

Something certain.

He took a deep breath, then closed his eyes.

A moment later, he exhaled slowly.

"Champ... don't be afraid." His voice was steady, unwavering. "I'm here."

My lips parted, my pulse racing as his words settled into my heart.

"I will protect you, no matter what. Believe in me."

His words weren't just empty promises.

I felt them.

Felt them pierce through the fear consuming me.

Felt them settle deep inside my soul like an unshakable truth.

Deux wasn't here to condemn me being an Omega male.

He wasn't here to erase me, to reject me, to fear me like the rest of the world did.

He was here for me.

Because he chose to be.

"Deux..." My voice cracked, my body trembling as my knees finally gave out beneath me.

And just like that—

The invisible force lifted.

The moment it did, every being around me collapsed.

Their bodies, once stiff and restrained, crashed onto the ground like lifeless dolls.

Even Silver—he, too, lay limp, though his ragged breathing confirmed he was still alive.

But the only one still kneeling—

Was Deux.

He was the only one who remained upright, his piercing gaze locked onto me.

And then—

He smiled.

Soft. Gentle. Reassuring.

Then he nodded, slow and certain.

"Don't be afraid, Champ," he whispered. "Don't be afraid of me."

Tears burned in my eyes.

My chest ached.

"Deux..." I choked out, my emotions overwhelming me.

"You won." He said, gently.

I swallowed hard, my hands trembling.

"You defeated me."

My lips quivered as I forced a shaky smile.

"You've proven you're stronger than me."

And then—Deux's body gave out.

His eyes fluttered shut.

And before I could even react—

He collapsed.

A deafening horn blared through the air.

A signal.

"And the victor of the Alpha Territory Treasure Hunt Competition..." a booming voice announced.

"The last conscious being standing... from the Champ Clan..."

I froze.

"CHAMP!"

I blinked against the dim light, my breath shaky as I took in my surroundings. Slowly, painfully, I pushed myself to my feet, my limbs still weak, my body aching from the ordeal. My leg throbbed in protest, but I refused to stay down.

And then, as if the world itself had been holding its breath, the first rays of sunlight broke through the darkness. The night had finally ended.

A new day had begun.

A new beginning.

But was this truly a fresh start, or the beginning of something far more treacherous? I didn't know.

All I knew was that I was no longer alone.

For the first time in my life, I had someone beside me. Someone who would protect me. Someone I would protect in return.

"Deux..." I whispered his name, my voice unsteady. A shudder ran through me as an overwhelming mix of emotions crashed over me—relief, sorrow, fear, anticipation.

What happens now?

I already knew my life would never be the same.

Normalcy was no longer an option.

I was stepping into the unknown, into a future I could neither predict nor control.

And yet... my gaze drifted to my hands.

There was something inside me, something I had never known existed. A force, raw and untamed, pulsed beneath my skin. A power I had wielded without understanding it, without meaning to.

I had made everyone kneel.

They had submitted to me.

And I had no idea how or why.

Omegas—were supposed to be weak, submissive, at the mercy of Alphas like Deux and Silver. But in that moment, I had stood on equal ground. No, I had made them bow.

What was I?

What did it truly mean to be a Male Omega?

I had always thought my existence was meant to be small, meant to be controlled. But the truth was beginning to unfold, and I could feel it—my being, my very existence, was an enigma.

An Omega wasn't supposed to have this kind of power.

And yet, I did.

I didn't just need to survive anymore.

I needed to uncover the truth.

Who am I?

And what else am I capable of?

Whatever the answer, I would find it.
