Chapter 28: Revelation

Champ's POV

"Champ," Deux whispered, his voice a slow, deliberate tease—like honey laced with poison, rich and intoxicating. "You really want this?"

I swallowed hard, my body trembling beneath him, every nerve alight with anticipation.

"Yes," I breathed. "Make me yours. Impregnate me, my Alpha."

A wicked, knowing smirk curled his lips.

"Then spread your legs for me, my Omega," he commanded, his voice a slow drag of velvet and steel. "Because tonight, I'm giving you exactly what you begged for."

The heat in my body surged beyond control, a wildfire consuming me whole. My mind had already surrendered—I wanted to give in, to let Deux claim me entirely. I craved the moment he would fill me, and bind us together forever, a child as the ultimate proof of our unity.

I was ready. My legs parted in eager submission when—

"CHAMP! DEUX!"

A voice sliced through the haze like an axe to glass.

The world screeched to a halt. My mind, once lost in a heady fog, slammed back into reality with a force so violent it nearly gave me whiplash.

Both Deux and I turned toward the source of the intrusion, our eyes wide in shock, our souls momentarily departing our bodies in sheer terror.

Standing at the doorway, frozen like a deer caught in headlights, was—

"Uncle Henry...?" I croaked, my voice hoarse with disbelief.

I was stark naked, legs widely spread apart and straddling Deux, who was sprawled across the bed, equally bare and exposed. It was the kind of scene no guardian should ever walk in on—yet there he was, staring at the horrifyingly undeniable evidence of what had just been about to happen.

Uncle swallowed thickly, his Adam's apple bobbing in visible distress. Then, in a motion so stiff and mechanical, he turned his back to us.

A long, deep breath. Then, finally, he spoke.

"I believe... my timing was off." His voice was painfully calm. Too calm. The kind of calm that came right before a murder. "Champ. Deux. Once you're dressed up, I'd like to have a word with the both of you."

And just like that, he left, shutting the door behind him.

Silence.

A thick, suffocating silence.

Deux and I just stared at each other, our souls hovering above our bodies, contemplating the possibility of simply vanishing from existence.

"You didn't lock the door?" Deux finally asked, his voice dangerously close to laughter.

"I—" My breath hitched. "No. I forgot." My voice barely existed.

The horror of the situation sank in.

Cold water. Then boiling water. Then cold water again. That's what this felt like.

"I am so dead," I muttered, scrambling off him, my limbs a frantic blur as I grabbed for my clothes.

Deux, on the other hand, was completely unbothered. In fact, he was grinning.

"Deux! How are you not mortified right now?" I hissed, yanking my pants up like my life depended on it.

"Why would I be?" he mused, stretching like a lazy cat. His gaze dropped to his lap, where—dear god—his pride twitched.

Twitch!

"Deux," I gasped in horror. "Do not—"

Too late.

"Oops." He smirked, shameless. "Guess I'm still excited."

I was going to combust.

With a groan, I turned to leave—but not before Deux's voice stopped me again.

"Champ, there are still traces of fluid between your thighs." His tone was smug, teasing. "Clean yourself up first."

I froze mid-step. My face ignited.

I knew what he meant. And I hated that he was right.

Flustered, I spun around, only for him to raise an eyebrow and motion to himself.

"Wait," he added. "What about me? You're just gonna leave me like this? Do you really want your uncle to see me covered in your fluid when he comes back?"

A strangled noise escaped me.

I grabbed the nearest lab coat from a nearby chair and threw it at his smug, ridiculously handsome face.

"You can move just fine," I snapped. "Figure it out yourself!"

Deux chuckled as he caught it, his amusement never once faltering. "You were so obedient just a second ago. Now you're bossy again? That's not how this works, Champ."

"UGH!" I let out a frustrated yell, storming toward the bathroom, my heart still racing, my dignity hanging by a thread.

Behind me, Deux laughed.

That bastard.

...

...

...

The tension in the hospital room was suffocating. Uncle Henry stood at the foot of the bed where Deux lay, his expression unreadable. I sat beside Deux, my hands curled into tight fists on my lap. Deux, in stark contrast, was completely at ease, as if nothing had happened—no scandal, no heated moment interrupted, no shame. As if Uncle Henry hadn't walked in on something he should never have seen.

Uncle took a deep breath. His eyes darkened, and his voice dropped to something sharp and unyielding.

"Uncle, let me explain," I said, my voice barely above a whisper.

"No need," Uncle Henry responded coldly. "I saw what I needed to see."

Deux, ever the spectator, watched us like we were characters in a tense drama playing out before his eyes.

Help me explain, damn it, Deux! Stop lying there like a relaxed audience member!

"But I need clarity," Uncle continued, his voice softer but no less stern. I couldn't meet his gaze, which only made things worse.

"Champ," he called, his voice carrying the weight of authority. "Look at me."

With a deep breath, I forced myself to meet his piercing stare.

"Are you pregnant?"

My heart stopped. My entire body went rigid.

"What? No!" I blurted, nearly shouting.

Uncle Henry hummed in response, nodding once. "Not yet."

"Not yet?" Deux muttered, his tone laced with irritation. "Would've been, if you hadn't shown up."

"Deux!" I snapped, mortified.

"What? It's the truth," Deux said, utterly unapologetic.

"My apologies for interrupting, Alpha Prince," Uncle Henry said, voice dripping with sarcasm. "But I'd appreciate it if you refrained from impregnating my nephew in a hospital bed."

That got Deux's attention. His eyes snapped toward Uncle, the irritation in them shifting into something deeper—something unreadable.

"I know the nature of your kind," Uncle continued, his voice level but unyielding. "You are an Alpha, Deux. And you, Champ, are an Omega. No matter how much I intervene, I cannot stop what is in your nature. But Deux—" Uncle's voice dropped into something heavier, almost threatening, "—if you must do this, at least show some respect. Champ is not some mindless Omega to be claimed wherever and whenever you please. Take this somewhere private."

I swallowed hard, feeling the weight of shame press against my chest. "Uncle, don't blame Deux," I murmured. "It was my decision. I was the one who insisted."

Uncle Henry exhaled sharply, shaking his head.

"Champ," he said, this time addressing me directly, "I know you're a grown man. And I am merely your uncle, not your father. But we are family. And as such, I cannot ignore this. I ask you—do not lower yourself. Do not disgrace yourself. You are not just any Omega male. You are one of historic significance. You are more than just a mate to be claimed."

It felt like cold water had been thrown over me. My breath hitched, my fingers tightening around the sheets.

"I—I'm sorry, Uncle Henry," I said, my voice cracking. "I lost control of my heat. I couldn't stop it."

"I know," he murmured. "I understand. When the heat takes over, your body betrays you. But next time, choose your surroundings carefully." His eyes flickered back to Deux, his expression unreadable. "And you, Alpha Prince. Do not forget that the world is watching. What if someone else had seen him like that?"

Deux inhaled deeply, his jaw tightening.

"It wasn't intentional," he admitted at last. "I lost control as well. That wasn't my intention—to treat him like that."

Uncle let out a long sigh, rubbing his temple. "Regardless, I am here to warn you both."

That caught my attention.

"Warn us?" I echoed.

Uncle Henry's expression darkened. "The Alpha King is furious. Word has spread that an Alpha has stolen his child away."

A chill ran down my spine. Deux and I exchanged a glance.

"What does that mean?" I asked, my heart hammering.

"It means you are being hunted, Champ," Uncle said grimly. "The Alpha King wants you captured."

My blood ran cold.

"Uncle! That's ridiculous!" I exploded. "What they did to Deux was monstrous! They treated him like an animal—humiliated him! I couldn't just leave him there!"

"But because of that, you have endangered your life," Uncle Henry said, his voice laced with worry.

"I couldn't abandon Deux," I said firmly. "And besides, there's another reason we were there."

Uncle narrowed his eyes. "What reason?"

Deux, who had been silent until now, finally spoke. "I found the location of Champ's Omega mother."

Uncle Henry's entire body went still. His eyes widened, his lips parting slightly in shock.

"You found him?" he whispered.

I lowered my head, my chest tightening. "I—I didn't get to see him, Uncle," I admitted, my voice barely above a whisper. "I only caught his scent. Lavender. Just like mine."

"But I did see him," Deux said.

Both Uncle and I turned toward him, stunned. Deux's expression was distant, his eyes shadowed with something dark—something heavy.

"I met your mother, Champ," Deux murmured. "Alaric."

A shiver ran down my spine.

"How did you find him?" Uncle Henry asked, his voice barely containing his disbelief.

Deux's jaw clenched. "The first time my father took me to the Omega Secret Facility, I didn't know what it was," he admitted. "But once inside, I saw what they were hiding—Omega females locked away, studied, experimented on, bred for stronger genes. Treated like nothing more than livestock."

I felt bile rise in my throat. My fingers curled into the sheets, my entire body shaking with rage.

"In one of the private cells, hidden away from the others, they kept Alaric—Champ's mother. I used the code engraved on Champ's ring to access that cell."

Uncle Henry's breath hitched, his gaze darting toward me.

"That ring of yours," he said, looking at the signet ring on my hand. "That's why your Alpha father gave it to you. That ring is the key to his prison."

Deux exhaled heavily. "When I entered, I thought—" his voice faltered, his hands clenching into fists, "—I thought I could free him. That it would be easy. I was wrong."

We were silent, waiting for him to continue.

"I found him chained. Broken. Consumed by grief and fury," Deux said, his voice filled with something close to guilt. "And then... I nearly died."

My heart slammed against my ribs.

"What do you mean?" I whispered.

Deux lifted his gaze to meet mine. "He has a power—one that only Omega males possess. A power you have, too, Champ. He nearly forced me to take my own life."

Silence. Cold, deafening silence.

"Omega's Wrath," Uncle Henry muttered. "The very ability that terrifies the Alpha class. The power to command death itself."

I couldn't breathe.

"Didn't you tell that you were there to save him?" I asked desperately.

"I tried. Over and over. But his heart was too full of hate. He thought I was my father's pawn."

I felt my eyes burn. "I'm so sorry, Deux."

He shook his head. "Don't be. He wasn't wrong to hate us. He said they took everything from him— his freedom, his love, and—" Deux hesitated, then looked directly at me.

"...And his two children."

Everything inside me froze.

"What?" My voice came out hoarse. My heart pounded violently.

"Two children?" Uncle Henry repeated, his expression stricken. "But—I delivered Alaric's child myself. And there was only one."

"He told me this himself," Deux murmured, his voice eerily calm despite the storm raging in my chest. "Alaric had two children." He paused, his golden eyes dark with realization. "If you were never told about a sibling... then that can only mean one thing."

I swallowed hard, dread settling deep in my bones.

"What are you saying?" I whispered.

Deux exhaled, his gaze turning sharper, heavier. "It means Alaric was impregnated while he was imprisoned."

Something inside me snapped. A rage unlike anything I had ever known surged through me, hot and consuming.

"Those heartless monsters!" I spat, fists clenching so tightly that my nails dug into my palms. My body trembled with fury, my breath coming in sharp gasps.

"Champ," Deux said gently, reaching out and pressing his hand to the side of my head. His touch was warm, grounding. "Calm down... we'll do everything we can to get justice for your mother."

I clenched my jaw, shutting my eyes tightly. I had to breathe. Anger wouldn't help us now. It wouldn't change what had been done.

"Poor Alaric..." Uncle Henry muttered, shaking his head in sorrow. "I knew his fate had been cruel, but this... this is beyond what I ever imagined. Alaric was once free—joyful, full of light. He had never been capable of hatred before. But after all he's suffered..." He let out a long, shaky breath.

"Then we have to save him," I said with urgency. "We have to get my mother out of there. As soon as possible!"

Uncle Henry's expression hardened. "It won't be that simple, Champ. You are being hunted. The Alpha King has ordered your capture. Right now, you cannot afford to be seen."

My stomach dropped.

"What am I supposed to do? Just hide?"

"And besides," Uncle added, glancing at Deux, "he is in no condition to help you yet."

I turned to Deux, watching him carefully. Despite his usual confidence, there was an undeniable exhaustion in his eyes. He smiled faintly at me, as if silently asking me to be patient.

"Wait until I can move properly again, Champ," he murmured. "Then we'll go together. I swear it."

I nodded, gripping his hand tightly.

Uncle Henry's voice was firm when he spoke again. "But for now, you two need to leave this hospital. The Alpha King's men are already on their way. If you stay, both of you will be captured. I guarantee it."

My breath hitched.

"Where do we go?" I asked, panic creeping into my voice. "They know where I live. They'll search my home."

Uncle reached into his coat and pulled out a small slip of paper, handing it to me.

"Here."

I stared at the set of geographic coordinates written on it, my hands trembling slightly as I took it.

"I'm sorry I can't offer more, but this is a hidden location. Not even on official maps. Someone will be waiting for you there."

"Who?" I asked, narrowing my eyes.

Uncle's gaze softened. "An old friend me and your parents. Someone you can trust."

I swallowed hard, then turned to Deux. "We have to go now. You might have to walk, but I'll carry you if I have to."

Deux let out a tired chuckle, shaking his head. "I won't be a burden to you, Champ. I can manage."

With a deep breath, he attempted to push himself up from the bed. I watched as he braced his arms against the mattress, his muscles tensing. His legs, still stiff and weak, trembled as he tried to stand. He gritted his teeth, determination flashing in his eyes.

"Deux... you're still too weak." I stepped forward and caught him just as his knees nearly gave out. Slinging his arm over my shoulder, I steadied him.

And then—

(SLAM!)

The sound of doors being thrown open violently echoed through the halls. My entire body went rigid.

"They're here!" Uncle Henry's voice cut through the air like a blade. "No time! Use the emergency exit through this room. Now!"

My heart pounded in my ears.

"What about you, Uncle?!" My voice cracked with fear.

"Don't worry about me." Uncle Henry's expression was strangely calm, a small, knowing smile gracing his lips. "I've endured worse things in this lifetime—starting with what happened to Alaric. This is nothing. I won't die, don't worry."

Tears stung my eyes.

"Uncle—!"

"Go!" he ordered, waving us toward the exit. "I'll buy you time!"

My throat tightened with emotion, but there was no time to argue. I had to move. Clutching Deux tightly, I turned and rushed toward the emergency exit, my heart hammering against my ribs.

Behind us, Uncle Henry stood firm, prepared to face whatever came through that door.

...

...

...

Doctor Henry's POV

"Be careful, Champ." My voice was firm, yet filled with an unspoken weight as I watched them disappear through the emergency exit. "I pray that you fulfill your mission and find your mother." I forced a smile, despite the storm raging inside me.

(SLAM!)

The door to the hospital room burst open with terrifying force. The air shifted instantly, the overwhelming scent of dominant Alpha males flooding the space.

"Where is the Alpha Prince and Champ?!" one of them barked, his voice a sharp growl. His nostrils flared as he scanned the room. "I can smell the Alpha Prince's scent lingering here. They were here just moments ago."

I took a steady breath, masking my fear behind an impassive expression.

"I don't know what you're talking about." My voice was calm, controlled.

A heavy silence followed. And then—

"Are you sure about that, Henry?"

A familiar, chilling voice cut through the air. My blood ran cold.

The Alphas stepped aside, allowing him to enter. My breath caught in my throat as I laid eyes on the man who had haunted my nightmares.

The Alpha King.

My pulse pounded violently against my ribs.

"Alpha King!" I gasped, unable to hide my shock. I hadn't expected him to come here himself.

His lips curled into a cruel smile. "It's been a while, hasn't it, Henry?"

I swallowed hard, my fingers clenching into tight fists at my sides.

"You know why I'm here, don't you?" His voice was smooth, deceptively calm.

My throat felt dry. "What do you want?" I forced myself to ask, though I already knew the answer.

The Alpha King tilted his head slightly, eyes gleaming with something dark—something dangerous. "What I don't want... are people lying to me."

I stiffened.

"You once told me that Voder's child died together with him." His voice turned sharp, like a blade against my skin.

"That's true." I met his gaze, trying to appear unwavering. I needed him to believe me.

But the Alpha King only chuckled, shaking his head.

"Really? Or were you simply covering it up?"

"I don't know what you're implying."

His smile vanished. His eyes darkened with anger. "Do you really think I'm stupid enough to believe that?"

Before I could respond, the door creaked open once more, and another Alpha male stepped inside, carrying something.

A black envelope.

The sight of it paralyzed me.

No. No, no, no!

"We found this in his office, Alpha King," the Alpha male reported. "It was locked inside a vault. We had to break it open."

My heart plummeted.

I lunged forward. "Give that to me—!"

But before I could reach for it, the Alpha King's guards grabbed me, their powerful grips locking my arms behind my back. I struggled, but it was futile. Their strength was overwhelming.

The Alpha King smirked. "You seem awfully desperate, Henry. Now I'm even more curious. Just what exactly are you hiding?"

My body went rigid. My breath came out in short, sharp gasps.

I had thought my vault was secure. I had believed that the documents were safe. But they had destroyed it. They had torn through my defenses and stolen the truth I had fought so hard to keep buried.

Slowly, methodically, the Alpha King unsealed the envelope. He slid out the confidential documents, his fingers brushing over the aged paper. I thrashed against my captors, desperate to stop him—but it was useless.

And then, as his eyes scanned the words before him—

His entire body went rigid.

His fingers clenched around the documents.

His pupils dilated in raw, seething rage.

"I knew it," he snarled, his voice a dangerous growl. "I knew it!"

He snapped his head toward me, fury radiating from his very being.

"Champ is Voder and Alaric's child!" His voice was a roar, shaking the very air. He glared at me with uncontained fury. "You LIED to me, Henry!"

I fought against the Alphas restraining me, my breath ragged. Damn it!

"Because I know you won't stop until you've wiped out every trace of Voder's bloodline!" I spat, my own rage matching his.

The Alpha King let out a sharp click of his tongue, his expression twisting with cruelty.

"Seize this treacherous Beta." His voice was absolute.

Before I could react, the Alphas tightened their hold, dragging me forward.

"Where are you taking me?!" I struggled, my mind racing.

But it didn't matter.

I was caught.

Yet as they forced me away, I clenched my teeth and whispered the only prayer I had left in me.

As long as the Alpha King doesn't have any idea that Champ is an Omega male...

"Champ... be safe. Please." I whispered while closing my eyes and preparing for what's waiting in front of me.

...

...

...

Champ's POV

We had managed to put a considerable distance between ourselves and the hospital. Now, we found ourselves deep within a dense forest—far from prying eyes, far from the danger that lurked behind us.

I was exhausted. Carrying Deux was no easy feat, and now that we had stopped to rest, my arms felt like they had been ripped from their sockets. I collapsed onto the ground, panting, while Deux leaned back against a tree.

"Sorry you had to carry me, Champ." Deux muttered, his tone guilty. His broad shoulders slumped slightly as he caught his breath.

I waved a dismissive hand, still too out of breath to speak properly. "Don't worry about it. Right now, we need to focus on getting to the location Uncle Henry gave us." I pulled out the small slip of paper he had given me, staring at the coordinates scribbled across it. "The problem is... I have no idea where this is. There's only one person I know who can track down a place like this."

At that, Deux and I exchanged a look.

Deux sighed dramatically, tilting his head back against the tree. He already knew exactly who I was talking about.

"Champ..." he groaned.

"Deux, Jiggs is the only person we can rely on right now." I crossed my arms. "I know he doesn't seem serious most of the time, but trust me—if anyone can help us, it's him."

"I never said I didn't trust him," Deux replied, "I just said he's... obnoxious."

I couldn't help but laugh. That was Deux's biggest complaint? Of course, it was.

"We don't have a choice, Deux." With that, I pulled out my phone and dialed Jiggs' number.

The moment the call connected, I barely even had time to register the ringtone before—

"CHAMP!!!"

Jiggs' voice exploded from the speakers at maximum volume.

Deux winced, running a hand down his face in pure exhaustion. "Even without loudspeaker, I can hear him just fine..." he muttered.

"Where the hell are you?! We're all worried sick—Marsh, Gem, Daryl, and Martin! Even my Omega mother is freaking out! You're practically a celebrity now!" Jiggs rambled breathlessly.

I blinked. "Celebrity?"

"Not in a good way!" Jiggs yelped. "Your face is all over the news! The Alpha King has officially put you on the WANTED LIST!"

My stomach dropped.

I slowly turned to look at Deux, who now wore a deep frown.

"This is bad." My voice was quiet, but the weight of those words hung heavily between us.

"Jiggs... if they're after me, that means you might be in danger, too," I said. "You're one of the people closest to me. If they suspect you're helping me—"

"Of course, I know that!" Jiggs cut me off. "That's exactly why I'm looking for you! We're all going into hiding together!"

I felt guilt settle in my chest. "I'm sorry, Jiggs... I didn't mean to drag you into this."

"Are you kidding me?! Don't apologize!" Jiggs laughed. "This just means the Champ Clan has a new mission! This is exciting! I was getting bored!"

I let out a deep sigh.

Even in life-or-death situations, Jiggs could never be serious.

"Jiggs, Uncle Henry gave me a location, but it's only in coordinates. I was hoping—"

Before I could even finish my sentence—

"Give it to me! NOW! I need the coordinates! Tell me! Hurry!" Jiggs practically screamed.

I read off the coordinates, "37.7749° N, 122.4194° W."

There was a flurry of typing on the other end of the call, followed by a triumphant—

"BOOM! I got it!"

"Seriously?"

"Yep! Bad news, though—it's far from the city. We'll need a car. And... I don't have one! Hehehe!"

I sighed again, already anticipating the headache forming in my skull.

"Champ."

Deux suddenly held out his hand toward me. I hesitated before handing him the phone but he immediately put Jiggs on speaker.

"Insect." Deux's deadpan voice came through.

"MASTER DEUX!!" Jiggs practically squealed. "You're with Champ, right?! Tell me! Say yes! I need confirmation!"

"Are you ordering me?" Deux asked, his tone sharp.

"JUST SAY IT SO I CAN STOP WORRYING!"

Deux let out a long, suffering sigh. "Yes. I'm with Champ."

I stared at him, completely stunned.

"Wow," I muttered under my breath. Deux actually listened to Jiggs.

"Okay! I know where you guys are now!" Jiggs announced.

Deux narrowed his eyes. "How?"

Jiggs giggled mischievously. "Hehehe~ Because I stuck a tracker on your neck the last time you visited my house."

Silence.

A very dangerous silence.

Then—

"YOU LITTLE SHIT! I'M TAKING THIS OFF!" Deux roared, immediately grabbing the back of his neck in horror.

"DON'T TAKE IT OFF! I NEED IT TO TRACK YOU!" Jiggs yelped in panic. "Actually, I was planning to stick one on Champ, too—"

"LIKE HELL YOU WILL!" I snapped.

Deux clenched his jaw, taking a deep breath before regaining his composure. "Anyway... if we need a car, I have a mission for you. It's dangerous, but it's our only way out."

Jiggs' tone shifted instantly. "Explain."

"We need my car, and I cannot go there because of my condition right now." Deux said, "but it's at the Alpha King's estate. You'll have to sneak in. They won't be able to smell you since you're a Beta male, but there will be security cameras."

"No problem! I'll handle the cameras." Jiggs sounded way too confident about hacking into an Alpha King's security system.

"I'll give you the location of my car. Get it, and drive straight to us." Deux paused, then narrowed his eyes. "And Jiggs—if you so much as put a scratch on my car, I will personally hunt you down. Are we clear?"

"Crystal clear, Master Deux! Leave it to me!"

"Be careful, Jiggs... please don't get caught," I warned.

"Jiggs has got this! Hehehe!"

With that, I hung up, letting out another deep sigh.

My heart pounded with unease. This mission... it was reckless.

"I hope Jiggs succeeds," I muttered.

Deux exhaled, leaning back against the tree. "He has to. I could hear it in his voice—he's scared, but he's masking it with excitement."

I nodded grimly. "And now, he's heading straight into the Alpha King's territory. This is going to be dangerous. I know that he's all loud and obnoxious... but he is the friend that we can count on. I trust in Jiggs."

...

...

...

Jiggs' POV

I stared at my reflection in the mirror, eyes narrowed, face tense.

Then, with absolutely no hesitation, I slapped myself. Hard.

"Jiggs, you are NOT a coward! You are NOT a coward!" I chanted, psyching myself up.

Never mind the fact that I was about to sneak into the Alpha King's estate, a place swarming with terrifying Alpha males who could snap me in half if they so much as caught a whiff of my scent. Nope. Nothing to worry about. Totally fine.

"Jiggs, you got this!" I told myself, slapping my cheeks a few more times for good measure.

The truth?

I was scared out of my freaking mind.

I put on a happy front for Champ and Deux, but deep down? I was shaking in my boots.

Still... I thought about everything we had been through. Everything we had survived.

We had made it this far. We were still alive.

That had to mean something, right?

I took a deep breath.

This time, it wasn't just about sneaking out past some guards or avoiding getting into trouble. This time... we were up against the Alpha King himself.

I exhaled sharply, running my fingers through my hair. How did I—a completely average Beta male—end up in the middle of all this?

Optimism. Optimism is key!

And besides, we had Champ and Deux. What could possibly go wrong?

Okay, a lot of things could go wrong. But let's focus on the positives!

Champ wasn't just an Omega—he was a monster. A terrifying, all-powerful, reality-shattering Omega with abilities that nobody fully understood yet.

And Deux? Deux could probably kill a man by looking at him too hard.

Me? A genius!

With us fighting side by side, we had nothing to fear!

"I can do this!" I hyped myself up, pointing at my reflection. "Jiggs, if we pull this off, you'll be a Beta legend! Historians will write about you! Your future children will read about you in textbooks! Your grandkids will say, 'Wow, our grandpa was kind of a cowardice, but he was legendary!'"

I beamed, nodding to myself. "Let's go!"

With renewed determination, I grabbed my backpack and started shoving everything I might need inside.

Emergency supplies. Extra tools. Snacks—just in case, of course.

Then, once I was fully packed, I called my team.

Marsh, Gem, Daryl, and Martin.

My ride-or-die squad. The best Beta males in town.

We gathered in my living room, forming a circle as I laid out The Plan—or, as I liked to call it, our Suicidal Mission.

By the time I finished explaining, I half-expected them to laugh in my face or, at the very least, refuse to get involved. After all, this wasn't just sneaking into someone's house. This was breaking into the Alpha King's estate.

It was insanely dangerous.

For a moment, no one spoke.

Then—

Marsh stepped forward and extended his right hand.

I blinked. "Uh... what are you doing?"

Without answering, Martin placed his hand on top of Marsh's.

Then Gem.

Then Daryl.

My chest tightened.

"Guys..." My voice shook, my eyes burning.

"We trust you, Jiggs." Marsh's voice was steady.

"Your plans have never failed us. If you say this can work, we believe you." Daryl added.

"The Champ Clan isn't complete without Jiggs." Martin grinned.

"We can't do this mission without you. We won't do it without you." Gem finished.

That was it. That was the final straw.

My nose started running.

I sniffled, rubbing at my face furiously, trying to hold back actual tears.

I reached out to place my hand on top of theirs—only for all of them to immediately recoil and step back.

I blinked. "Wait. Did you all just dodge me?"

Martin laughed. "Bro, you literally just wiped your snot-covered hands on your sleeve."

I groaned. "Okay, fair."

With a dramatic flourish, I raised my fist. "Alright! Let's do this! For Champ and Deux!"

"FOR CHAMP AND DEUX!"

Just as we were about to leave, my Omega mother appeared in the living room, frowning.

"Why are you all here? And why do you have so much stuff packed?" she asked suspiciously.

I froze. "Uhhh. Camping trip?" I grinned, praying she'd buy it.

She gave me a long, unimpressed stare.

"Be careful, okay?" she finally said.

That was all it took.

Without warning, I lunged at her, wrapping my arms around her in the tightest hug possible.

She stiffened. "Jiggs? What's wrong? Do you want me to come with you?"

I let out a choked laugh. "No... No way. If you come with me, everyone will think I'm a mama's boy."

She scoffed. "Jiggs, you are a mama's boy."

I sniffled harder.

She hugged me back—really tight.

"Take care of yourself, Jiggs. Be safe."

I squeezed my eyes shut. I didn't want to think about it, but...

What if this is the last time I will see her?

What if something happened to me?

Who would be here to make her laugh?

Before I could break down completely, she gently pulled away and rushed into the kitchen.

When she came back, she was holding...

Bananas.

"Jiggs, don't forget to eat. Don't starve yourself." She handed them to me with a firm look.

I bit my lip, swallowing down my emotions as I carefully placed them inside my bag.

"I will, Mom. These bananas will be my savior." My voice was barely above a whisper.

She nodded.

And with that, my team and I set out—heading straight toward the Alpha King's estate, ready to steal Deux's car.

I took one last deep breath.

"Please... please let this plan work."

Silver's POV

"Those bastards! My head is still throbbing like hell, especially after that damned Beta hit me!" My father growled, pressing an ice pack against the swollen lumps on his head. His frustration was palpable, his rage barely contained.

I stood beside him, arms crossed. "You can't underestimate Champ, Father." I sighed. "If it's not Deux fighting you, then it's his cowardly, irritating little Beta friend, Jiggs."

My father clenched his jaw. His fingers dug into the ice pack as his eyes darkened with obsession.

"I was so close... so damn close to marking that Omega." His voice was low, guttural.

My blood ran cold.

"Marking?" I repeated, my chest tightening.

"Silver... that Omega's scent... I know it. I know it well." My father's voice was unnervingly certain.

A frown creased my forehead. "What are you talking about?"

His eyes gleamed with something far more sinister than mere desire.

"His scent is the same as Alaric's. That lavender scent... It's unmistakable. He is Alaric's child—the Omega male who was imprisoned in the Omega Secret Facility. The powerful Omega male my brother locked away."

The air left my lungs.

"What?" I whispered, my mind struggling to process what he was saying.

Champ... is Alaric's son?

I had always known there was something different about him. His presence, his strength—his power.

But this?

This was something else entirely.

"But why do you want to mark Champ?" I demanded, my voice sharp. The thought alone sent a surge of anger through my veins.

I had always wanted Champ. He was mine to claim. But not like this. Not with my father as my rival.

My father chuckled darkly, shaking his head. "Once I mark him, he will be mine to control." His fingers curled tightly around the armrest of his chair. "You don't understand, Silver. The power of an Omega male far surpasses anything we Alphas could ever dream of. If I make him submit to me, even my brother—the Alpha King himself—will stand no chance against him."

A bitter laugh escaped my lips. "I know that already. I've felt his power firsthand. I stood before him, and for the first time in my life, I—" I clenched my fists. "I felt fear."

I swallowed hard, shaking my head. "Let me be the one to mark him, Father."

The air shifted.

My father's expression darkened instantly.

"NO!" His voice boomed, echoing through the room like a thunderclap.

I flinched.

"But, Father—"

"You cannot mark Champ! He is mine to claim!" His voice was laced with pure, unrelenting fury.

I stared at him in disbelief.

"Why?! Can't it be me?" My voice cracked, my patience unraveling. "Are you truly so obsessed with him?"

A long, suffocating silence filled the air.

Then, my father met my gaze—his expression hard, unreadable.

And then he said the words that shattered my entire world.

"Silver..." he exhaled, voice dropping to a whisper. His eyes locked onto mine, holding me captive in the moment that would change everything.

"You can never claim Champ..." My father insisted "... because the two of you are brothers."

My heart stopped.

I froze, my breath catching in my throat.

"What...?" The word barely left my lips. My chest tightened painfully.

My father leaned forward, his grip tightening around the ice pack, his eyes wide with the weight of his revelation.

"You share the same Omega mother." His voice was barely above a whisper, but the words thundered in my ears. "Alaric... is your mother."

The room spun.

No.

No. No. No.

I took a step back, my vision blurring. My hands trembled, my mind screaming at me to deny it.

But deep inside me—something clicked.

The way I had always felt drawn to Champ. The way his presence felt familiar, even when we were enemies. The way my father always watched him, not just with desire but with something deeper—something dangerous.

It had never been about power.

It had never been about desire.

It had been about blood.

"No..." I whispered, shaking my head. "That's not—"

"You must never tell anyone, Silver." My father's voice dropped to a warning.

My head snapped up, my breathing uneven.

"Not even the Alpha King can know. If he learns that you are Alaric's son, he will kill you."

A sharp pain pierced my chest.

I couldn't breathe.

"Why?" My voice barely held together.

My father's expression was grave. "Because my brother—your uncle—despises Alaric's offspring that is not his and everyone related to him. He will wipe out every trace, just as he tried to erase Champ's father."

I felt my stomach churn.

"And what about you?" I forced myself to ask, my voice breaking. "What is your plan?"

My father smiled—a slow, chilling smile.

"For now, we keep this secret. But if my plan fails... if I cannot control Champ..." His eyes gleamed with something terrifying. "Then you, Silver—you will be my trump card. Your blood is different from mine, you have Alaric's blood in you that is far more superior."
