Everyone thought I couldn't leave the company, that I wouldn't give up my authority. They never imagined I'd buy a plane ticket that very day and go on an international trip.

I had always lived for the family and the Winters family. At last, I could truly relax and unwind.

A few days later, my family found out I had left the country. They froze my cards, thinking without financial resources, I'd come crawling back.

Little did they know I had long ago opened a separate account, made some private deals, and amassed enough wealth to live lavishly for a lifetime.

Six months later, Melody couldn't hold out any longer. Her belly was getting bigger, and the Winters family still cared about appearances. They couldn't have a child born without a father, though I certainly wasn't claiming it.

I had my lawyer handle the divorce proceedings.

My parents, seeing everything settled, ordered me to come back.
