Chapter 10 – Lights, Camera, Action

The atmosphere on set was tense. Crew members hurried to set up the lights, cameras adjusted their angles, and the actors gathered around, waiting for the first scene to begin. But all eyes, whether subtly or openly, were on one person—Snow Cross.

The industry had doubted him. The media speculated whether he still had it. And now, with the cameras about to roll, it was time to prove them all wrong.

Snow sat quietly in his seat, his fingers tapping against the armrest. His gaze was calm, but beneath the stillness, he could feel the weight of expectations pressing down on him. He had been away for a decade. This was his battlefield now.

"Alright, everyone, we're starting with Scene 12," Director Han's voice echoed across the set. "This is where the second lead first meets the protagonist in an intense confrontation. Emotions need to be raw. Got it?"

Liam, standing opposite Snow, smirked. "Let's see if you can keep up, legend."

Snow met his gaze evenly. "Don't slow me down."

The First Take

"Action!"

The moment the cameras started rolling, Snow transformed. His entire presence shifted, his expression darkening as he stepped into his character's skin. The weight of his gaze was suffocating, his posture rigid yet calculated.

Liam's character was supposed to exude dominance in this scene, but the second Snow opened his mouth, the balance of power tilted.

"You think your title means something to me?" Snow's voice was deep, cutting through the silence like a blade. His heterochromatic eyes burned with intensity, sending an involuntary chill down Liam's spine.

Liam faltered—just for a second.

Shit. This wasn't the Snow Cross from the past. This was something else.

But Liam refused to be overshadowed. He clenched his fists, forcing himself to push back, delivering his lines with as much force as possible. Yet no matter how much he tried, it felt like he was being pulled into Snow's pace, trapped in a scene that was no longer under his control.

The crew was holding their breath. Even the director, who had been skeptical of Snow's return, found himself leaning forward in his seat.

Then, suddenly—

"Cut!"

No one moved.

Director Han blinked, momentarily forgetting that he had been the one to stop the scene. The tension lingered in the air, and for a long moment, there was only silence.

Then, a voice broke through.

"Holy shit…" one of the staff members whispered.

Liam, who had been trying to regain his composure, ran a hand through his hair. He had to admit it—Snow was terrifying in front of the camera.

Ryan was grinning like a madman. "Damn, Snow. Did you forget to tell us you got even better over the years?"

Aria, who had been watching from the side, tightened her grip on her script. He's still the same. Her heart raced against her will. No… he's even more dangerous now.

Director Han rubbed his chin, deep in thought. Finally, he spoke. "Again."

The crew prepared for another take, but the truth was clear to everyone present—Snow Cross wasn't just back. He was here to take over.
