Chapter 7

Chapter 7: The Crown Prince's Deadly Gambit A Night of Intrigue

Xiao Ran lounged in his chamber, shirtless, his well-defined muscles illuminated by the flickering candlelight.

Yu Fei lay curled against him, her bare breasts rising and falling as she traced circles on his chest.

"You're too calm," she murmured.

Xiao Ran smirked, taking a sip of wine.

"Should I be panicking?"

Yu Fei sat up, letting the silk sheets slip down her body, exposing her curves.

"The Crown Prince isn't a fool," she said. "If he knows seduction didn't work, he'll send something more dangerous."

Xiao Ran's fingers trailed down her thigh, making her shiver.

"He can send whoever he wants," he murmured, "but I will crush them all the same."

Yu Fei's golden eyes darkened.

"Then let me fight by your side."

Xiao Ran tilted her chin up, brushing his thumb against her lips.

"I'll consider it," he whispered before pulling her into a deep kiss.

Yu Fei moaned softly, her body melting against his.

But just as their passion was about to ignite again—

BOOM!

A loud explosion rocked the estate.

Xiao Ran's eyes flashed dangerously.

"It's begun."

The Assassins Strike

The night air was thick with smoke and blood.

Figures clad in black robes and masks emerged from the shadows, their blades gleaming under the moonlight.

The Crown Prince had sent his deadliest assassins.

The guards rushed to defend the estate, but the assassins were too skilled.

Blades flashed, blood splattered against the walls, and agonized screams pierced the night.

Xiao Ran stepped out, dressed in only his pants, his chiseled upper body bare.

The assassins paused for a moment, their eyes narrowing behind their masks.

One stepped forward.

"You are Prince Xiao," the assassin said in a low voice.

Xiao Ran smirked. "That depends. Are you here to die?"

The assassin snarled and lunged.

Xiao Ran dodged effortlessly, grabbing the assassin's wrist and twisting it.

A sickening crack echoed as the assassin screamed.

Xiao Ran ripped the blade from his hand and drove it straight into the assassin's neck.

The other assassins hesitated.

Yu Fei appeared beside him, dressed in nothing but a silk robe, a dagger in her hand.

She licked her lips.

"It's been a while since I've had a good kill."

Xiao Ran's eyes gleamed.

"Then let's not disappoint them."

A Bloodstained Moon

The battle was swift and brutal.

Xiao Ran moved like a phantom, his blade cutting down assassin after assassin.

Yu Fei danced beside him, a deadly seductress, her dagger piercing throats and hearts.

By the time the last assassin collapsed, the estate was littered with bodies and blood.

Xiao Ran wiped the blood off his chest, his breathing steady.

Yu Fei, panting, leaned against him.

"Still think I'm just a woman?" she teased.

Xiao Ran grabbed her by the waist, pulling her flush against his body.

"Oh, I know exactly what you are," he murmured, pressing a kiss to her throat.

Yu Fei moaned softly, arching against him.

But before they could continue—

A new presence appeared.

A man, clad in dark crimson armor, stepped over the corpses.

His black eyes gleamed with amusement.

"Not bad, Prince Xiao," he said, his voice rich and smooth.

Xiao Ran's eyes narrowed.

"And who the hell are you?"

The man smirked, resting a massive sword on his shoulder.

"My name is Bai Zhen," he said. "And I am here to test your strength."
