ASCENSION OF THE UNKNOWN GOD.

Elian sat on his bed, taking a deep breath as he finally turned his attention to the newly upgraded system interface. With everything that had happened—Eve revealing her true form and the discovery of the Shadow Dragon Egg—he had completely forgotten to check the new system features.

As the system interface materialized before his eyes, five new tabs glowed softly in his vision:

Curious, he started with the Shop Tab.

The Shop allows the Host to purchase weapons, armor, artifacts, and consumables. [ Unlock at level 25]

Gold Coins and Beast Cores are the primary currency.

Epic and Legendary Equipment require Beast Cores of a corresponding rank for purchase.

Elian narrowed his eyes. The addition of Beast Cores as a currency meant he had to be strategic when hunting. It wasn't just about EXP anymore—he needed cores if he wanted top-tier gear. Though he had to reach level 25 first, which won't be easy.

Next, he checked the Inspect Skill Upgrade Tab, which now displayed:

The Inspect Skill now provides detailed information on beasts, humans, and items.

Higher Inspect Levels reveal hidden abilities, weaknesses, and rarity classifications.

"This will make fights easier," Elian muttered. Now, he wouldn't have to blindly guess a beast's strength.

Moving on, he tapped on the Quest Tab.

Quests will automatically appear here.

Hunting Quests (Defeat a specific target)

Exploration Quests (Investigate unknown areas)

Special Quests (Unique missions with unknown rewards)

Completing quests grants EXP, Attribute Points, Skill Points, Gold Coins, and Special Rewards.

Elian smirked. This meant the system would actively guide him toward greater challenges.

Finally, he opened the Pet Tab. Immediately, a new pet entry appeared:

Elian's eyes softened slightly. This dragon would be his first companion. The thought of having a mythical beast loyal only to him was strangely satisfying.

"Eve, is there anything I need to prepare for once it hatches?" he asked.

Eve, sitting by the window, smirked. "You've already done the most important step—forming a Runic Blood Bond. When it hatches, it will recognize you as its only master."

Elian nodded. For now, he needed to focus on preparing for the Beast Hunting Event.

New System Features
