Titan and Catarse (G)
Titan and Catarse stood at the front lines, facing an endless wave of creatures. While the other heroes fought to seal the cracks in the ground and prevent more monsters from emerging, they had a different objective: to destroy the most powerful groups in Thanatos' army before they could regroup.
Titan moved like an unstoppable force. His nearly indestructible body absorbed blows that would have taken down any other hero, and every punch he delivered was like a miniature earthquake. He grabbed one of the creatures by the neck and hurled it with such force that it crashed through several others before vanishing into the horizon.
Catarse stood by his side, channeling the fury of storms. His eyes glowed an intense blue as he raised his hands toward the sky. In response, dark clouds began to gather, and lightning started striking around him.
"I'll clear the way!" Catarse shouted.
He lifted one arm, and in an instant, a colossal bolt of lightning struck from the sky, hitting a dozen creatures at once. The smell of burned flesh spread across the battlefield as the charred monsters collapsed to the ground.
Titan grinned.
"Never get tired of that, do you?"
Catarse chuckled, dodging a strike and electrocuting another enemy with a simple snap of his fingers.
"If I were you, I'd savor every second of your strength too."
Titan didn't reply. Instead, he leaped through the air like a missile, coming down with a devastating punch against a group of larger creatures. The impact created a crater in the ground, instantly pulverizing the monsters.
Catarse seized the moment. He focused energy into his hands, forming a bright electric sphere. Then, with a swift motion, he hurled it at another group. The lightning exploded on impact, sending electric surges in all directions and taking down dozens of creatures.
But they knew it wouldn't be enough. Thanatos' army kept multiplying, and even their most devastating attacks only temporarily reduced the wave of enemies.
Titan wiped some dust from his face and looked at Catarse.
"If we keep this up, we'll tire out before they do."
Catarse frowned. He knew that too.
"Then we need to do something bigger. Something that wipes them out all at once."
Titan glanced around, analyzing the battlefield. Then, he pointed toward a massive rock formation in the distance, a natural structure that looked unstable.
"What if we make the terrain work for us?"
Catarse followed his gaze and understood immediately.
"You want to bring that down on them?"
Titan nodded.
"If we drop that mass of land on them, we can crush hundreds at once."
Catarse smirked.
"Then let's make it happen."
Titan charged toward the rock formation, tearing through any enemy that dared to stand in his way. Catarse remained on the ground, preparing more electrical energy to keep the creatures at bay and buy his partner some time.
When Titan reached the base of the structure, he readied himself.
"If we're doing this, we're doing it right."
He planted his feet firmly, flexed his muscles, and punched the base of the formation with all his might. The impact made the earth crack and tremble, and Catarse knew it was his turn to act.
He raised his arms to the sky and, with a thunderous cry, summoned a colossal lightning bolt. The strike hit the already weakened rock, and the effect was immediate. The entire structure collapsed, creating an avalanche of stones and dirt that swallowed hundreds of creatures at once.
As the dust settled, Titan and Catarse exchanged glances, breathing heavily.
"That should buy the others some time," Titan said.
Catarse nodded, wiping sweat from his forehead.
"But not for long. Thanatos is still coming."
The dust still hung in the air when Titan and Catarse heard fast footsteps behind them. They turned, seeing two figures emerge from the shadows between the rocks.
Omen walked ahead, his black armor reflecting the occasional flashes of lightning still dancing in the sky. His face, concealed by a dark mask, remained impassive, his eyes glowing a deep crimson. Behind him, Wladeírson moved with agility, his metallic limbs digging into the ground with every step.
"You took your time," Omen said, his voice rough and laced with impatience.
Titan raised an eyebrow. "If you wanted us to be faster, why didn't you help earlier?"
Wladeírson let out a mechanical sound that resembled laughter. "He wanted to see if you two could handle it on your own."
Catarse crossed his arms. "And what's the verdict? Did we impress the dark overlord here?"
Omen remained silent for a moment, observing the pile of rubble and the charred bodies of the creatures they had just annihilated. Finally, he spoke.
"You did some real damage." He tilted his head slightly. "But that doesn't mean the battle is won."
Titan scoffed. "Nobody here thinks we've won yet, but cutting down their numbers doesn't hurt, does it?"
Wladeírson stepped closer, inspecting the debris. "We can use this area to our advantage. We've created an improvised canyon. If we lure the creatures here, we can ambush them with ranged attacks."
Catarse nodded. "Good idea. I can overload the area with electricity. If we draw them in, I can turn this pile of rocks into a death trap."
Omen turned, scanning the battlefield with sharp eyes. "So the plan is to reshape the battlefield to our favor."
Titan grinned. "Exactly. I bring the rocks down, Catarse electrifies everything, and you two help draw the creatures into the kill zone."
Wladeírson flexed his metallic fingers, his claws gleaming under the dim light. "Well, if it means taking these beasts down faster, I'm in."
Omen simply stepped forward, his gaze fixed on a group of creatures starting to reorganize in the distance.
"Then stop talking and start acting. They're already coming."
Catarse raised his arms, feeling electricity surge through the air. Titan prepared another strike, while Wladeírson sharpened his claws and Omen vanished into the shadows, ready to strike from the darkness.
The battle was far from over, but together, they would make sure to turn the tide.
