Tomb and Will (G)
Tomb roared across the sky, his massive wings beating with force, spreading turbulent winds over the battlefield. He was no mere alien, he was something beyond, a fusion of flesh and unknown matter, a living being shaped by darkness and chaos. His gigantic, scaly body gleamed under the red glow of the surrounding explosions. He had no eyes, but he didn't need them. He felt the world around him.
Will, the Behavior, hovered beside Tomb, his armor gleaming as he adjusted his combat systems.
"Well, I'd say I've seen it all, but that'd be a lie."
Tomb let out a low growl.
"There's no time for jokes. The creatures are coming."
They were surrounded. Thanatos' army kept advancing, flying monsters emerging from the mothership like swarms of hungry predators. Grotesque mechanical beings, covered in black metal and pulsating circuits, charged at them. Some had razor-sharp wings, others exhaled a toxic smoke that corroded everything around.
"I'll handle the small ones, you take down the big guys!"
Will shouted to Tomb as he activated his pulse cannons.
Tomb simply nodded, his mouth opening to release a roar that made the clouds tremble. He launched himself at the larger creatures, using his claws to tear through the metallic carcasses of the monsters. His teeth sank into the enemies' black armor, and his wings slashed through the air like living blades, cutting down anything that dared approach.
Will dove into the battle with surgical precision. His thrusters roared as he shot through the swarm of enemies, firing plasma bursts and launching guided missiles. A three-headed monster lunged at him, trying to snatch him with its claws. Will dodged at the last second, spinning mid-air and firing an electromagnetic pulse that disabled the creatures around him.
Tomb, on the other hand, faced a mechanical titan, a massive aberration with multiple arms, each wielding an energy blade. The monster swung its blade at Tomb, but the scaled beast dodged, grabbing the mechanical arm with his claws and ripping it off in one swift motion. The titan tried to recover, but Tomb opened his mouth and unleashed a blast of black fire, burning the creature's circuits from the inside out.
Will glanced at the scene and whistled.
"Next time, give me a heads-up before you spew that fire. I don't wanna end up as barbecue."
Tomb just laughed, his voice echoing in Will's mind.
"Then fight properly and stay out of my way."
The battle raged on. Thanatos might have been far away, but his army seemed endless. They both knew they couldn't retreat. If Tomb and Behavior fell there, no one would be left to stop the enemy forces.
Will clenched his fists.
"Let's finish this."
Tomb roared.
"Then we do it together."
And together, they charged forward, ready to destroy anything in their way.
Tomb landed with a violent impact, cracking the ground beneath him. Dust rose around him as he straightened up, his muscles pulsing with raw energy. Mechanical creatures descended from the sky like ravenous predators. Thanatos had created an endless army, and Tomb was about to face a horde alone.
He growled, flexing his claws.
"Come at me."
The creatures attacked. Tomb struck first, tearing one of the monsters in half with his razor-sharp claws. The metallic enemy twitched before exploding in sparks. Another leaped at him, trying to drive energy blades into his back, but Tomb rolled aside, grabbing the creature by the neck and smashing it into the ground.
For a moment, he seemed to have the upper hand. But then, the bigger ones arrived.
Colossal creatures, heavy, covered in blades and mechanical tentacles, advanced toward Tomb. He tried to incinerate the first one with his black fire, but the creature absorbed the flames with a layer of reflective armor. Before he could react, one of the monsters struck a brutal blow to his chest, sending him flying backward with absurd force.
Tomb rolled across the ground, pain spreading through his body. He tried to rise, but one of the creatures pounced on him, its claws piercing his gleaming red scales. Tomb roared in pain, attempting to counterattack, but another creature drove its blades into his wings, pinning him to the ground.
He struggled to break free, but the enemies were relentless. Every attempt at attack was interrupted by another devastating blow. His body was covered in deep cuts, and his strength began to wane.
Above, Behavior was still fighting the swarm, his cannons firing plasma bursts as he dodged incoming attacks. He saw Tomb on the ground, surrounded, but he couldn't do anything. If he descended to help, he'd be shot down.
Tomb, on the other hand, felt his body failing. He couldn't move. The creatures around him raised their weapons for the final strike.
He couldn't lose here.
But could he get up in time?
Oh, of course he could.
Even with his body nearly collapsing, he took flight and distanced himself from the monsters. Then, he unleashed fire like never before.
Flames of crimson, black, purple, orange, and yellow erupted from his mouth. This fire was so intense that Tomb spent two full minutes exhaling it. Towering waves of fire surged, it was almost like Godzilla's atomic breath.
The monsters fell, overwhelmed by the flames, which, despite their escalation, remained contained to the battlefield, never reaching the ships.
"This fight is tough. Tougher than the one against Toxic? No, definitely not. Back then, I was still getting used to this body. Now, I'm way better at this."
Tomb thought as he watched the creatures burn, a sinister grin on his face.
The heat waves still rippled through the air when Tomb finally ceased his attack. The ground was covered in molten metal and ash, and the monsters that hadn't been completely vaporized lay in pieces, their smoking carcasses scattered across the battlefield.
He took a deep breath, feeling the energy pulsing within him. His muscles trembled, his wings felt heavy, but he was still standing. He ran his tongue over his sharp fangs, the taste of soot and iron still present.
Above, Behavior watched the spectacle. His visor registered the thermal wave that Tomb had created, a heat explosion bordering on nuclear destruction. He let out a low whistle through the communicator.
"If you'd done that earlier, we wouldn't still be here."
Tomb looked up and let out a raspy chuckle.
"If I did that all the time, there'd be nothing left for you to play with up there."
Behavior quickly dodged an incoming enemy shot before replying:
"Fair point. But we still have a problem."
Tomb scanned the battlefield and realized that despite his display of power, Thanatos' army hadn't been entirely wiped out. The fire blast had eliminated dozens, maybe hundreds of creatures, but new hordes kept emerging on the horizon. An endless sea of metallic monsters and bio-mechanical soldiers.
He clenched his fists.
"Alright. Let's take down some more."
Before he could charge, a deafening roar shook the battlefield. A colossal creature emerged from Thanatos' forces. It stood nearly twenty meters tall, its body composed of black metal pulsing with red energy, and its four legs sank into the ground with every step. Its head, a grotesque fusion of wolf and serpent, split into three jaws filled with razor-sharp teeth.
Tomb's expression turned serious.
"That's new."
Behavior quickly scanned the creature with his sensors and scoffed.
"Great. Another one for the nightmare collection."
The beast lifted one of its massive front legs and slammed it down, causing a seismic shockwave that made the ground tremble. Tomb had to steady himself to avoid falling, while Behavior was forced to reposition in the air.

Tomb simply nodded, his mouth opening to unleash a roar that made the clouds vibrate. He launched himself at the larger creatures, using his claws to tear through the metallic carcasses of the monsters. His teeth sank into the black armor of his enemies, and his wings sliced through the air like living blades, cutting down anything that got too close.
Will dove into combat with surgical precision. His thrusters roared as he shot through the swarm of enemies, firing plasma bursts and launching guided missiles. A three-headed monster lunged at him, trying to grab him with its claws. Will dodged at the last second, spinning in midair and firing an electromagnetic pulse that disabled the creatures around him.
Meanwhile, Tomb faced a mechanical titan, a massive abomination with multiple arms, each wielding an energy blade. The monster swung one of its blades at Tomb, but the scaly being dodged, grabbing the mechanical limb with his claws and ripping it off in a single motion. The titan attempted to recover, but Tomb opened his mouth and unleashed a blast of black fire, burning the creature's circuits from the inside out.
Will caught a glimpse of the scene and whistled.
"Next time, warn me before you start spewing fire. I don't wanna end up as barbecue."
Tomb just laughed, his voice echoing in Will's mind.

Tomb thought to himself as he watched the creatures burn with a sinister smile.

Tomb looked up and let out a rough laugh.
"If I used that fire all the time, there'd be nothing left for you to play with up there."

The creature raised one of its massive limbs and slammed it into the ground, creating a seismic impact that shook the battlefield. Tomb had to brace himself to stay standing, while Behavior had to adjust his altitude.
Tomb cracked his neck, his eyes glowing amid the flames.
"Alright. Now it's getting interesting."
He flexed his legs and shot forward, ready to take on the new monster.
