Rewards, II
As Elijah had suggested earlier, the group spent some time getting acclimated to the Rewards gained.
"Cool." Elijah muttered as he swung the Black Knight's Sword.
[Black Knight's Sword, B-Rank Item:
A Sword of Cursed Obsidian that used to belong to a Knight adorning black armor long ago.
The Curse placed on the Obsidian causes a black and ominous aura to ooze out of the blade.
By channeling Mana into the Black Knight's Sword, fearsome slashes of Dark Magic can be emitted.]
"Slashes of Dark Magic, huh? Can't wait to try that."
Elijah swung his sword and placed it in the scabbard hanging from his hip.
[Knight's Scabbard, D-Rank Item:
The Knight's Scabbard is blessed with a Seal that links the Knight's Scabbard to the Knight's sword of choice.
As long as the Knight's Scabbard and the sword are in good condition, the sword will never be lost by the Knight. The sword will always find its way back to the Knight's Scabbard.
Only one sword can be linked to the Knight's Scabbard.]

Elijah's hand moved towards his neck, taking hold of the pendant.
[Alucard's Necklace, A-Rank Item:
Alucard, the Vampire Hunter, was a Vampire who only fed on Vampire Blood.
The more Vampire Blood he consumed, the stronger he became, and the more abilities he gained.
The Necklace was named after Alucard because of its ability to store Blood inside of it, and to turn that Blood into a Skill that the Necklace's holder will gain.
Alucard's Necklace thirsts for the Blood of strong individuals.
Once the Pendant is filled with Blood, a Skill will be gained.
The Skill depends on the Blood that was fed to Alucard's Necklace, and on the strength held in that Blood.]
'Will I gain the Skills of those whose Blood I feed the Necklace, or Vampire-Type Skills, I wonder?' Elijah asked himself with a grin.
His gaze momentarily moved towards Léa.

There were two more Rewards that Elijah wanted to check out.
In fact, they were the Rewards he was most excited about.
His hand clicked on the System Window.
"It really is just that." He chuckled.
[Black Egg, A-Rank Item.]
"A Black Egg."
As one would assume, it was much bigger than a chicken egg.
Still, its size wasn't impressive.
"Little bigger than an ostrich egg, I would say." He muttered.

An Egg that hasn't hatched in centuries. The truth of what the Black Egg holds has been lost to time.
The Black Egg seems to be indestructible.

Elijah frowned for a moment.

'Something is moving beyond the shell. It doesn't look like anything… I see, it's Mana that I see moving. Dark publish Mana similar to that of the Black Knight's Sword.'

An Egg that hasn't hatched in centuries. The truth of what the Black Egg holds has been lost to time.
The Black Egg seems to be indestructible.
The Black Egg craves Blood.

'You too, huh?' Elijah chuckled nervously.
He placed the Black Egg back into his Inventory, and called upon the last Reward he wanted to check.
A strange vial appeared in his hand.
[Demonic Blood, A-Rank Item:
Demonic Blood is a powerful Elixir that is made by mixing and condensing the strength of a hundred Demons.
By drinking it, one gains Demonic Powers and Strength, if they are able to handle it.
If they are not able to handle the Demonic Blood's Power, death is a likely consequence.]
"Interesting." Elijah muttered as he opened the vial and smelled the blood within it.
"Don't drink that!" Zarath shouted suddenly.
"Why not?"
"Because it will kill you! Probably!"
"Probably, huh?" Elijah turned around so that his back would be to her.
"Please, don't! If you die, then I'm-"
Elijah raised the vial regardless.
"W-Why would you…?!" Zarath shouted as she ran to him.
"How was it?" Elijah asked with a grin.
[Alucard's Necklace has swallowed Demonic Blood.]
[Alucard's Necklace has been filled to 90%.]
"Hm." Elijah scratched his chin. "So you got tired of Demonic Blood, huh?" He sighed, lowering the vial from which about a fifth had been consumed.
"You scared the crap out of me!" Zarath shouted. "Why would you do this to me, Master?"
"Why do you care if I die? As far as I know, my death means your freedom."
"You are my Master." Zarath said, holding a hand to her chest. "Our lives are now linked."
"What's that supposed to mean?"
"It means that-"
BOOM!
The explosion interrupted Zarath's words, and both turned in the direction from which it originated.
"Sorry." Katherine apologized as she scratched her head. "I'm trying to get the hang of it but..."
"Mana Manipulation, huh?" Elijah grinned and started walking towards her. "Let's try it together."
Marianne and Léa were seated side by side on a bench.
"This sucks." Marianne sighed.
"At least you have a Class Awakening Scroll."
"Yeah, but it's useless without an Upgrade Ticket."
"Which you can get from Elijah."
"Yeah, but… I don't know what I'll do after I find my father."
"Hm."
"Do you not have anyone waiting for you?" Marianne asked bluntly.
"Nope." Léa shrugged. "It was one of the questions Elijah asked me."
"During the uh…" Marianned rubbed her eyes, unable to say it with a straight face. "The admission interviews?"
"Yeah." Léa sighed.
A moment later, both Elijah and Katherine were standing in front of that bench.
"Cool, isn't it?" He asked, obviously bragging about the blueish aura oozing out of their bodies.
"It's whatever…" Marianne muttered while looking away. 'It's Magic. Magic. Magic! Real Magic! Goood, I'm so jealous!'
Elijah turned towards Léa.
"So, what did you decide?" He asked.
She pressed her lips together, frowning slightly.
"Will you join us or not?"
