Into the Dungeon

The next day, the guild led Kai to a large, dark dungeon. An old stone archway covered in glowing symbols loomed before them. The air was cool and filled with a mix of excitement and fear.

Rohan spoke first,

> "Kai, if you're not ready, you can stay back. We will clear this dungeon and come back for you."

Kai's eyes shone with determination,

"No, I want to be there with you. I need to see what I can do."

Kian nodded,

> "The hardest challenges teach us the most. Trust yourself, Kai."

Inside the dungeon, the corridors were dark and silent. Shadows played on the walls, and soon, a huge goblin appeared out of nowhere. Its eyes burned with anger as it charged toward them.

One of the guild members cried out when the goblin struck him. Mira, the kind healer, rushed over, saying,

> "Hold on, I'm here. Don't give up now!"

Kai's heart pounded as he remembered Etrion's words,

> "Even a little power can change fate."

With a deep breath, Kai stepped forward and shouted,

> "Leave my friends alone!"

He raised his hand, and a burst of dark, sparkling energy shot from his fingertips. The goblin exploded into tiny pieces.

Rohan's voice trembled in wonder,

> "Kai, that was amazing! How did you do that?"

Kai, still catching his breath, said,

"I'm still learning about this power, but I promise I'll use it only to protect."

Kian smiled and added,

> "You are very special, Kai. I believe you will become a great guardian."

Lyra nodded,

"Your strength comes from your kind heart, not just your power. Today, you have shown us that you can be a hero."

Later, as they left the dungeon, Rohan asked softly,

> "How do you feel after that fight?"

Kai replied,

"I'm scared, but I also feel strong. I want to learn how to control this power so I can help others."

Lyra said,

"We'll be with you every step of the way. You're not alone in this.
