Within minutes, analysts, influencers, and even mainstream news channels were breaking it down.
► "Did Endure just challenge his own mentor?! This is insane!"
► "Adheso better be careful. Endure might just pull another upset."
► "Wait, how is a D-Class vs. E-Class fight the most hyped event of the year?"
That last point? Everyone was thinking it.
A D-Class hero and his literal former sidekick? Headlining an event bigger than most S-Class fights?
It made no sense. And yet, it was happening.
A few hours later, Adam sat on his couch, watching his phone vibrate with an unknown caller ID.
He had a feeling he knew who it was.
Deep breath. Answer.
"How are you, kid," a familiar voice said.
Adheso.
Adam leaned back. "Figured you'd call. How much more are you gonna use my hype?"
Adheso chuckled. "Using you? Please. I'm just making sure you don't embarrass yourself too badly."
Adam raised an eyebrow. "Right. That's why you were out here telling people you trained me."
Silence.
Adheso laughed. "C'mon, man. You know how the game works. People eat up a good story. You and me? We got history. You were my sidekick. Let me get famous too, for old times sake."
"You mean I ran your errands."
"Same thing," Adheso said casually. "Listen, the truth doesn't matter. What matters is that people think I trained you. And after I beat you, they'll know who the real deal is."
Adam clenched his fist. This guy really thought he could steal credit for everything.
People like this disgust me. He never cared about me, but as soon as he saw that I was getting big, he wanted some of my hype.
Adheso chuckled. "Look, let's just keep this simple. The fight is this Friday, an official Hero Association event. Big stadium, live broadcast. You in? You can turn it down too, like the rat you are."
Adam blinked. "Wait—the Hero Association is involved?"
"Obviously," Adheso scoffed. "You think they'd ignore this much hype? People wanna see the fight, so they're making it official."
"I was always in, so you better be ready, bastard."
Call ended.
The news spread instantly.
OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT: HERO ASSOCIATION SANCTIONS "ENDURE" VS. ADHESO MATCH!
Comments were wild.
► "What has the world come to? A battle between a D-Class and an E-Class is the most anticipated event of the year???"
► "Man, this better not be some staged WWE fight."
► "I swear, if Endure wins again, I'm applying to be a hero tomorrow."
Even S-Class heroes were reacting.
S-Class Hero (Fracture) – Social Media Post:
"I usually don't care about low-tier fights, but I gotta admit… I'm watching this one."
S-Class Hero (Drift) – Press Conference:
"It's strange, but honestly? Endure's fight is more interesting than half the stuff we deal with."
Some people thought it was hilarious.
B-Class Hero (Thunderkick) – Y Post:
"So we really making Endure vs. Adheso a bigger deal than the last S-Class battle?? LMAO wild."
Adheso was milking it.
Every podcast, every interview, every video—he was talking.
"I mean, Endure's good, but let's be real—he got lucky. I trained him. He's not ready for me."
Adam had to shut him up.
Adheso kept using the opportunity to skyrocket his popularity, tactically using PR to shift people's perspective.
Adam scrolled through the endless flood of posts, interviews, and reactions. Adheso was everywhere, running his mouth, twisting the story.
"I trained him."
"He got lucky."
"Endure's not ready for me."
Adam's grip tightened around his phone. Bullshit.
Fine.
Adam wasn't about to let someone else control the narrative.
He pulled up his phone, opened his social media app, and hit the Go Live button.

The numbers skyrocketed within seconds.
Adam sat in his dimly lit apartment, staring straight into the camera.
"So, I've been seeing a lot of talk. Adheso's been everywhere, saying he trained me. Saying I got lucky. That I'm not ready for him."
He paused for a second before continuing.
"Here's the truth. Adheso didn't train me. He didn't teach me a damn thing. The only thing I learned from him was how to be ignored. How to be overlooked."
Chat exploded.
[User8392]: "TALK YOUR SHIT, ENDURE!!!"
[HeroNewsLive]: "Wait, so Adheso LIED???"
[Nightfang32]: "I am even more hyped for the fight, chat."
[Randompo21]: "Endure I love you!!"
Adam kept his voice steady.
"This fight isn't just about rankings. It's not about clout. This is about showing everyone that I'm not some lucky fluke. I'm Endure. And this Friday..."
He leaned in.
"I end the conversation."

FRIDAY. NIGHT OF THE FIGHT.
The stadium was packed.
Flashing lights. Roaring crowds. The Hero Association had gone all-out, treating this like a main event. The biggest names in the hero world were watching.
This was it.
Adam stood in the tunnel, rolling his shoulders, stretching his arms. His heartbeat was steady. Focused.
A staff member approached. "You're up."
Adam exhaled. "Time to finish this."
He stepped forward, the arena lights hitting him as the announcer's voice boomed:
"LADIES AND GENTLEMEN… WELCOME TO THE FIGHT OF THE YEAR!"
