Haruto had already accepted that his life was a series of disasters.
He had accidentally become the Demon King.
He had accidentally started a war.
He had accidentally gotten roped into a marriage tournament.
And now?
Now, he was about to face something even worse.
Because far above the mortal realm, in the Celestial Domain, the Goddess of Order, Vellaria, had decided to intervene.
She had watched heroes rise and fall. She had seen great wars, grand betrayals, and divine miracles.
But never—not even once—had she witnessed a mortal breaking the laws of reality itself.
And yet, there he was.
Haruto.
A man with no fate. No recorded destiny. No place in the divine plan.
And still, somehow, he had overthrown the Demon King by accident, united two warring races, and gained a following of the world's strongest warriors—most of whom wanted to marry him.
Vellaria had seen enough.
"This anomaly must be corrected."
With a wave of her hand, a golden portal appeared before her. She stepped through, descending toward the mortal realm.
The world shook.
Lightning crackled in the sky.
The winds howled.
And then, in a blinding flash of divine light, she arrived.
Haruto had been sitting in the tournament arena, curled into a ball, questioning his existence. He had fully accepted that his suffering was infinite. But then—the sky split open.
A radiant figure descended from above, her golden hair flowing, her piercing golden eyes glowing with divine energy.
The entire stadium fell silent.
Nobles, knights, demons, and warriors all dropped to their knees, trembling in awe.
"A Goddess…?!" someone gasped.
"Why is a Goddess descending?!"
Haruto, meanwhile, was the only one who stayed sitting, completely unimpressed.
He watched as the goddess landed gracefully in the center of the arena, her aura sending ripples through the air.
She pointed directly at him.
"Haruto."
Haruto blinked.
"Huh?"
"You are an anomaly. A being that defies the fundamental rules of this world. Your existence… must be corrected."
Haruto groaned loudly, burying his face in his hands.
"Of course. Of course there's a divine problem now. Can't I get five minutes of peace?!"
Lilia, who had been enjoying the chaos from the VIP section, giggled. "Oh my~. My dear husband has even caught the attention of the heavens?"
"STOP CALLING ME THAT!" Haruto shouted.
The goddess narrowed her eyes. "You do not belong here."
Haruto threw up his hands. "TELL ME SOMETHING I DON'T KNOW!"
Vellaria was not amused. "Your actions have thrown the world's balance into disarray. The threads of fate cannot bind you. The divine records cannot comprehend you. And yet, you continue to disrupt the world at every turn."
Haruto sighed. "Listen, lady, you think I'm happy about this?! I don't WANT to be a king! I don't WANT a harem! I don't WANT people worshipping me! This is all a terrible misunderstanding!"
The goddess stared at him for a long moment.
"…I see."
Haruto perked up. "Oh? You get it? You understand?"
"Yes."
"Finally!"
"You must be erased immediately."
Haruto's soul left his body.
"WAIT, WHAT?!"
Vellaria raised her hand, divine light gathering in her palm.
"Fear not. Your soul shall be properly returned to the cycle, and balance shall be restored."
"I'D REALLY PREFER NOT TO BE ERASED, THANKS!"
Haruto jumped to his feet, backing away.
Lilia clapped her hands. "Oh dear, should I be jealous? Even the Goddess of Order wants my husband's soul~."
"SHUT UP, LILIA!"
Emilia stepped forward, drawing her sword. "Goddess or not, I won't let you harm Haruto!"
Sylphiel nodded. "My beloved is beyond your judgment."
"I AM NOT YOUR BELOVED!" Haruto screamed.
The goddess watched as multiple powerful women immediately moved to defend him.
Her eyebrow twitched.
"This… is unnatural."
"WELCOME TO MY LIFE!"
Vellaria sighed. "Very well. I shall test you first. If you truly are unfit for this world… then you will not survive this."
The air trembled.
A pulse of divine energy erupted from her hand.
Haruto barely had time to register what was happening before a column of golden light consumed him.
For the crowd, it was a terrifying sight.
For Haruto, it was Tuesday.
The light exploded outward.
Smoke filled the arena.
And when it cleared…
Haruto was standing in the same spot, completely unharmed.
He blinked.
Vellaria blinked.
The crowd blinked.
"Huh," Haruto muttered. "I thought that would hurt more."
Vellaria's expression remained blank. But inwardly?
She was screaming.
That was a divine smite.
A mortal should have been obliterated.
And yet.
And yet.
Haruto was perfectly fine.
Haruto yawned. "Are we done here? Can I go home?"
The goddess slowly lowered her hand.
For the first time in her existence…
She had no idea what to do.
