Chapter 5: The fall of GOD OF LIGHT

The battlefield was in chaos. Blades clashed, divine energy clashed with demonic power, and the sky trembled under the weight of a battle that would change the world.

Kuragami stood at the center, his newfound power surging through his body. His black wings extended behind him, his crimson eyes glowing with an otherworldly light. He felt invincible, unstoppable. But before he could fully grasp his transformation, the battle escalated to an even greater level.

A powerful presence descended from the heavens.

Alexander stood motionless, his golden eyes scanning the battlefield.

The Goddess of Dragons, Elara, turned to him, her voice filled with urgency.

"Alexander! Go and protect my son! I will handle the gods!"

Alexander remained still, a faint smirk appearing on his face.

"There's no need."

Elara's eyes widened.

"What?"

Alexander crossed his arms, his expression unreadable.

"I want to see how strong the son of Demon King Rimuru truly is. If he is to be the successor of the Demon King, then he must prove himself."

Elara's expression darkened, her voice filled with fury.

"Are you insane?! He is only twelve! He will die if we don't protect him!"

Alexander's eyes flickered with amusement.

"Do not underestimate him. He has awakened."

Elara's breath hitched.

"Awakened…? No. That's impossible."

Alexander's smirk widened.

"It has been 500 years since anyone has awakened. And yet, the prince has done so at the mere age of twelve. It is his destiny."

Elara clenched her fists.

She remembered.

The Demon God's prophecy.

"When the world is at the brink of destruction, a child of both light and darkness will awaken. He will inherit the power to reshape the world."

Elara's voice trembled.

"Don't make me remember… It is too disturbing."

But before she could say more—

Kuragami moved.

He was no longer the frightened child of moments ago. His body moved with inhuman speed, his punches and kicks shattering everything in his path. He didn't care whether they were gods, demons, or humans. If they stood in his way, they fell.

Blood splattered across the battlefield as he cut through his enemies like a storm of destruction.

Then—

A blinding light filled the air.

The God of Light stepped forward, his golden eyes filled with rage.

"So you are the son of the Demon King."

Kuragami's gaze locked onto him.

"And you are?"

The God of Light smirked.

"I am the one who will end your existence. Once I kill you, I will ascend to immortality. Then, I will take revenge on your mother for betraying us."

Kuragami narrowed his eyes.

"You think you can kill me? How do you know how strong I am?"

The God of Light's smirk widened.

"Let's find out."

Without another word, the battle began.

Their figures vanished from sight, moving at speeds beyond comprehension. Fists clashed, energy exploded, and the very ground trembled beneath their fight.

Meanwhile, Elara turned to Alexander.

"Go help him! Now!"

Before Alexander could respond, a new enemy appeared.

A crack of thunder split the sky.

A massive figure descended from the heavens, electricity crackling around him.

Alexander's golden eyes gleamed.

"Thor."

The God of Thunder smirked, his hammer sparking with divine energy.

"Alexander. It has been a long time."

Alexander chuckled.

"The last time we fought, you were one of the strongest gods I had ever faced. But I still defeated you."

Thor's smirk widened.

"That was then. This is now."

He raised his hammer and unleashed a torrent of lightning.

Alexander moved—dodging, weaving through the storm of energy.

"You have improved, I'll admit that."

Thor grinned.

"Let's see if you can defeat me again!"

As they clashed, another figure appeared before Elara.

A woman with golden eyes and a wicked smile.

The Goddess of Greed.

Her voice was filled with venom.

"Elara… You have wronged me in the past. Today, I will take my revenge."

Elara's eyes darkened.

"If you wish for death, I will grant it."

The battlefield erupted into multiple duels of immense power.

But at the center—

Kuragami was struggling.

The God of Light was overpowering him.

A sphere of divine energy formed in the god's palm.

Before Kuragami could react—

It struck him.

Pain exploded through his body as he was sent flying.

Blood spilled from his stomach and mouth as he collapsed onto the ground.

The God of Light laughed.

"Pathetic. You were no challenge at all."

He took a step forward, his voice dripping with malice.

"I will not kill you yet. First, I will slaughter your mother in front of you. Then, I will end your miserable life."

Kuragami's body trembled.

Pain filled his senses.

He could hear his mother's voice. Her laughter. The warmth of her embrace.

He could not let her die.

Not again.

His fingers twitched.

His breathing steadied.

Then—

A surge of darkness erupted from his body.

His wounds healed instantly.

His eyes burned with an unholy light.

A sword materialized in his hand.

Alexander's eyes widened in shock.

"That sword… Impossible."

A demon beside him whispered in awe.

"It is the sword of Demon King Rimuru…"

The very weapon wielded by the most powerful demon in existence.

Kuragami gripped the hilt.

A surge of power unlike anything before flowed through his veins.

He looked up at the God of Light—

And vanished.

The next moment—

The God of Light's shield shattered.

Kuragami's sword pierced his heart.

Silence fell.

The God of Light gasped, his body trembling as darkness consumed him.

Alexander smirked.

"The prince has killed a god."

Kuragami exhaled sharply. His body trembled from the sheer force of his attack. His vision blurred.

Then—he collapsed.

Before he could hit the ground, Alexander caught him.

But then—

The earth shook violently.

The ground cracked open, lava erupting from beneath.

The clouds darkened.

A pressure heavier than anything before filled the battlefield.

The gods trembled.

Then—

A voice echoed through the heavens.

A voice that shattered reality itself.

"I see my children have failed."

From the sky, a being descended.

He radiated a power beyond mortal comprehension.

The gods fell to their knees.

And they whispered his name.

"The Creator of Gods… The God of Creation… Zeus."

He had come.

And he had come to end everything.
