The battlefield was silent. The war had ended—for now.
Kuragami remained unconscious in Alexandra's arms, his body still weak from the overwhelming power he had unleashed.
The demons began tending to their wounded, while Alexandra and the remaining warriors stood, scanning the sky warily.
But then—
A sudden shift in the air.
A golden light flashed behind them.
Before anyone could react, Zeus appeared once more.
Faster than lightning, he moved—his hand grasping the wrist of the Goddess of Dragons.
Her golden eyes widened.
"No—!"
Before she could fight back, before Alexandra or the demons could react—
They vanished.
A crackling golden light exploded in the sky, and then—nothing.
It was over in an instant.
The Goddess of Dragons was gone.
For a moment, there was only silence.
Then—
"DAMN IT!" Alexandra roared, his golden wings flaring as he slammed his fist into the ground. The earth shook beneath his fury.
The demons stared in shock. None of them had been able to stop it.
Even Alexandra, the Legendary Hero, had failed to react in time.
Then, from above, a voice echoed through the battlefield.
Zeus's voice.
"I will return with a much stronger army."
The sky itself rumbled with his words.
"This time, I have left the son of Rimuru alive. But not next time."
"When the next war comes, I will bring the full power of the heavens. The God of Infinite and I will stand together."
"And we will end every demon, every traitor… and your king as well."
"It will be a war greater than Ragnarok."
The voice faded, leaving only the chilling weight of his promise behind.
The Aftermath: The Coming Storm
The demons stood frozen, horrified by what had just transpired.
The Goddess of Dragons was taken.
Zeus had made his declaration of war.
Alexandra clenched his fists, his golden eyes glowing with unrestrained rage.
"Zeus… you have no idea what you've done."
He turned his gaze to the sky, where Zeus had disappeared.
"The Demon King will come for you."
Alexandra took a deep breath, his mind racing.
Zeus had spoken of the God of Infinite.
That was no ordinary god. If Zeus was planning to train an army alongside such a being…
Then this next war would be unlike anything the world had ever seen.
Alexandra knew what he had to do.
"I must prepare."
His golden eyes shifted toward the unconscious Kuragami.
"The Demon King's son… He is the only one who can stand against the gods."
He turned to the demons around him, his voice filled with determination.
"From this moment forward, we must begin preparations. We will train the strongest warriors—demons and humans alike."
"We will become more powerful than ever before."
"And when the time comes, we will meet Zeus and the God of Infinite on the battlefield."
The demons around him, still shaken, nodded.
There was no turning back now.
The Great War was coming.
And this time—
It would decide the fate of all existence.
