My boyfriend insisted on bringing me along when his company organized an employee trip.
By the time we arrived at the airport, most of the employees had already gathered.

He begged me while repeatedly banging his head on the ground.

My words pierced him like knives, and Alec fell silent.


Scarlett finally came to her senses after being kicked a few times by her father.
