Chapter 6

I initially expected it to be a particularly noisy atmosphere, but surprisingly, upon entering, it turned out to be a place for quiet singing.

I ordered a drink and sat down to listen to the singer perform.

The singer was a local, singing folk songs, which had a unique flavor in this setting.

As I finished my drink, the lights suddenly went out.

Immediately after, Kellan's "Wide Open Spaces" began to play.

The place instantly came alive, with everyone jumping to their feet.

We all sang along loudly together.

Caught up in the moment, I joined in with everyone else.

After one song ended, the singer immediately launched into another.

About half an hour later, I grew tired and sat down to rest for a bit.

It had been a long time since I'd had this much fun. Whether it was the effect of the alcohol or not, I felt unusually happy.

It suddenly reminded me of my college days when we'd drink with roommates whenever we had a little money.
