Chapter 25

Third person point of view

The next day, Dev looked around as he waited for Aravind. Aravind walked out and went up to him. " We need to stop by once. It is fine right ? " Dev asked, giving Aravind his helmet. Aravind nodded. He put it on and got on the bike. Dev drove from there and stopped at the supermarket. He put the bike to the side. 

" Stay here. I will be back quick ". He gave his bag to Aravind and went inside. Aravind sat down on the bike as he waited. Dev walked out in less than ten minutes. Aravind got down and Dev gave him a small bag. Aravind took it and gave Dev his bag. He opened it and saw Dairy Milk in it. He looked up with raised eyebrows in surprise. 

" For me ? " He asked and Dev nodded. Aravind grinned and took out eating one right there. " Eat on the way. Get on ". Dev said and Aravind nodded. They got on the bike and Aravind happily ate his chocolate. There were a few classmates who previously teased him for liking chocolates. But he couldn't care any less. 

" You want some ? " He asked Dev. " No. It is for you ". " Are you trying to bribe with my favorite chocolate ? " Dev chuckled. " Will it work ? If it works, then I will ". " You want me to get cavities ". He took another bite. Dev laughed at the hypocrisy. " Yeah ". Aravind smiled and was done with the chocolates pretty fast. 

They reached the college and he checked his reflection in the mirror to see if there was chocolate stuck anywhere. He saw it was clean and smiled. He noticed Dev looking at him. " Why ? " Dev just chuckled and shook his head. " Let's go ". Aravind shrugged and walked along with Dev. He threw away the wrappers in the dust bin on his way and they reached the class. 

Their morning went by smoothly like usual. After lunch, they didn't have any classes. They went to discuss the project. They met Bhargav again. Aravind saw him enter the class. He almost forgot about this guy. He glanced at Dev who was sitting beside him. Dev also turned to him and raised an eyebrow. Aravind shook his head. 

Bhargav came to them first. " Hey. Sorry I was busy last week. I did want to contact you guys but I couldn't find any time ". " It is fine ". Aravind replied. Dev took out the printed papers which had a few extra ones now and gave it to Bhargav. Bhargav looked through them. He put it on the bench and took out a pen from his pocket. 

" Is it fine if I write in it ? " Dev nodded. " Here, when you mentioned this... " He explained a few things and told how to make changes. The both of them listened attentively. " Got it ? " They nodded. " Other things are good. You can let them be ". " Thanks ". Aravind said and Bhargav smiled. 

" I probably will not meet you guys until the next session, which is after your mids. But you know this, you can always contact me ". " Sure ". Dev answered. " All the best for your exams ". Bhargav said with a smile and walked away. The both of them looked through the changes. Soon it was their turn to talk to the lecturer. 

Aravind explained it to her and she nodded. " Good. I hope you guys will keep this up ". " Thank you ma'am ". Dev replied and she smiled. They went and sat down. " Guess this thing can rest for a while ". Aravind said and Dev nodded. " I will make the changes today itself ". Aravind nodded. They all left to go home as they had no more classes. 

Dev drove them back home. Aravind got off the bike and gave the helmet to Dev. " What will you do ? " Dev asked looking at Aravind. " Sleep ". Aravind said in a duh tone. " Alright ". Dev said and Aravind walked away after waving him bye. He really did change out of his clothes and fall asleep. 

Aravind woke up after a while and his room was a little dark. He picked up his phone and checked the time. It was 6:09 PM. He put it away and rolled around a little. He groaned and sat up. He got out of bed and stretched. He went to the bathroom and washed his face. He finally felt more awake. 

He walked out and saw his mother who was peeling some potatoes while watching television. He glanced back at Atharva's room and found him working. He put his hands in his pocket and walked towards the kitchen. The door bell rang. " Let me answer it ". Aravind said and went to open the door. 

It was his father. He moved aside and closed the door once his father walked in. " Did you sleep ? " Aravind nodded. " They left us early today ". His father nodded and chuckled looking at his hair. He helped him set it a little. Aravind smiled and ran a hand through it. His father walked to their room to freshen up. 

Aravind drank some water and went to sit with his mother. He watched the show along with her. He heard the door bell ring again after a few minutes. He frowned and got up to open it again. He opened the door and saw Dev along with his parents. His eyes went wide but he quickly covered it and smiled. 

" Hi uncle, hi aunty ". They also greeted him back. He moved away letting them in. His mother saw them and invited them in. " You're here. Come in, come in ". Dev walked in last. Aravind closed the door and went to stand beside him. " What is this ? " He whispered. " Since it has been a while, they wanted to have dinner together ". Dev whispered back. 

" You knew about it ? " Aravind asked and Dev shook his head. " I just found out too ". Aravind nodded. They put a little distance between themselves and saw their parents already chatting happily. They did not have much role there anyway. " We will be in my room ". Aravind said and his mother nodded.
