Struggling with the new reality of her existence, Luna finds herself torn between her past life as a powerful CEO and the present danger in the werewolf world.

Along the way, she faces the inner turmoil of her severed mate bond and the growing attraction to Xander, the mate who rejected her. With enemies lurking both within and outside the pack, Luna must confront her past, reclaim her strength, and unravel the mystery of her rebirth to secure her future and her kingdom.
The city of New York pulsed with life beneath Selene Aldrich's feet, a jungle of steel and neon stretching as far as the eye could see. From the penthouse office of Aldrich Enterprises, the skyline glowed like a kingdom she had spent years building one deal, one war, one betrayal at a time.
She stood before the floor-to-ceiling windows, a glass of champagne in hand, exuding power in her midnight-blue dress. Selene Aldrich was more than a CEO she was a queen in a world of kings.
The merger had been finalized. Aldrich Enterprises was now the most powerful conglomerate in the industry. Her name would be written in history.
Yet, despite her victory, a nagging unease coiled in her chest.
Then, the door opened.
Ethan Blackwood stepped in her fiancé, a man of charm and deception wrapped in a perfectly tailored suit. His presence alone should have soothed her, but tonight, something felt off.
Behind him, two figures entered: Victoria Langley, her best friend, and Nathan Aldrich, her stepbrother.
Selene turned, raising a brow. "Did I miss an invitation to a party?"
Victoria's red lips curled into a smirk. "Actually, it's a farewell party."
Cold fingers of instinct gripped her spine. "Excuse me?"
Ethan walked toward her, slow and calculated. "You were always too ambitious for your own good, Selene. You really thought you'd be untouchable?"
Her eyes narrowed. "You're joking."
Nathan let out a humorless chuckle. "Afraid not, sis."
The realization hit her. This wasn't a business deal. This was a coup.
Before she could react, pain seared through her back. A blade cold and sharp pierced her flesh.
Her breath hitched. Blood pooled in her mouth, staining her lips.
Her own stepbrother twisted the knife. Betrayal.
She collapsed to her knees, her vision blurring as Ethan crouched beside her, whispering into her ear, "You should've known, love. Queens never stay on the throne forever."
The city lights flickered in her fading sight. And then darkness.
Rebirth & Awakening Pain.
It was the first thing she felt. A deep, suffocating pain that clawed at her chest like a beast. But this wasn't the sharp agony of a knife it was something else. Something raw.
Her body felt different. Lighter. Smaller. Weaker.
Her fingers curled against rough fabric. No silk sheets. No cold marble floors of her penthouse.
The scent of pine and damp earth filled her lungs, replacing the familiar aroma of expensive perfume and leather. The warmth of a fire crackled nearby, casting a flickering glow behind her closed eyelids.
A groan escaped her lips as she forced her eyes open.
Where… am I?
The room around her was small and rustic, made of aged wooden walls, a single fireplace illuminating the space. No skyscrapers. No city noise. Only the whisper of the wind outside.
Her breathing hitched. Something was wrong.
She pushed herself up and caught sight of her own reflection in a cracked mirror near the fireplace.
Her heart stopped.
The woman staring back at her wasn't Selene Aldrich.
Golden-brown hair, not sleek black. Soft, delicate features, not sharp and commanding. Her eyes doe-like, innocent, unfamiliar.
She stumbled back, hands shaking. Memories she didn't recognize crashed into her mind like a tidal wave.
Her name was Luna Seraphina.
She lived in the Blackwood Pack, a powerful werewolf territory.
And worst of all she had been rejected by her mate, Alpha Xander Blackwood.
A fresh wave of pain crashed into her chest, an unbearable ache that came from something deeper than just the body the severed mate bond.
She gasped, clutching at her heart.
What the hell is happening to me?
The Alpha's Arrival
A sudden noise outside made her snap to attention.
Heavy boots against dirt. Strong, measured footsteps.
Then—a knock.
The door swung open without warning.
A man stepped inside, towering, dominant, dangerous.
Alpha Xander Blackwood.
The moment their eyes met, something inside her flared—rage, defiance, a primal pull she despised.
He was just as her stolen memories had shown: A ruthless Alpha. Power radiated off him like wildfire. He had the sharp jawline of a warrior, raven-black hair tousled from the wind, and golden eyes that flickered like a wolf ready to strike.
But those eyes… were void of warmth.
"You're awake." His voice was deep, cold.
Seraphina sat up straighter, ignoring the way her body ached. "Unfortunately for you, yes."
A flicker of something crossed his face—surprise? But it vanished as quickly as it came.
"You were unconscious for a week." His tone was unreadable. "I assumed—" He hesitated.
"You assumed I wouldn't survive," she finished for him, voice calm.
He didn't deny it.
For the first time since waking up, a bitter smirk curled on her lips. "That would have been convenient for you, wouldn't it?"
Xander's jaw clenched. "The mate bond should have broken you."
She let out a low chuckle. If only he knew.
She had survived betrayal, assassination, an entire lifetime of war.
A rejected mate bond? Child's play.
Seraphina stood, meeting his gaze without fear. "I'm not the same woman you rejected, Alpha."
Xander's expression remained unreadable, but something in his stance shifted. A silent warning. A new challenge.
And she was ready for it.
