Chapter 8: Time Amber

Su Wanqing lay in the void of the time rift, the electronic pattern of the fetus in her abdomen binding the surrounding debris into amber. Dr. Shen touched the surface of the amber with his mechanical finger, and the aroma of hot dry noodles from 2012 and the metallic rusty smell from 2099 simultaneously poured into his nostrils. The metal flower that bloomed from Chu Yun's arm suddenly dripped acid, etching the amber through the passage leading to the Pre-Nuclear Explosion Kindergarten.

As the three rushed into the classroom, they saw Dr. Lin injecting his daughter with a blue potion. Su Wanqing's abdomen suddenly felt a sharp pain, and the fetal tattoo projected an image of Lu Li beheading a mechanical dragon a hundred years later. Dr. Lin turned around to reveal his mechanical prosthetic eyes, "You came seven years too early.

Dr. Shen mixes Chu Yun's metal flower liquid into the vaccine and forcibly injects Dr. Lin. The lab's cloning capsule suddenly bursts open and hundreds of metal babies crawl out, each with global nuclear power plant coordinates engraved on their backs. Chu Yun tore open the ventilation ducts and found that they were filled with battle logs with "Lu Li" written on them.

Su Wanqing grabbed her daughter's wrist, and the electronic patterns suddenly synchronized. Outside the shield, the Yangtze River began to pour, and the mechanical crocodiles were frozen in the waves. Dr. Shen's mechanical heart display counted down to zero, and the global nuclear power plants simultaneously entered a preheating state.

Chu Yun inserted the metal flower into the reactor, and the acid instantly solidified all of Wuhan. Su Wanqing watches as her daughter is sealed in amber and the electronic waves begin to flow backwards. Dr. Shen crashes the console and replaces the nuclear chip with a mechanical heart.

As time begins to flow again, Dr. Lin's mechanical prosthetic eye suddenly explodes. The trio fall out of the Amber Room and find themselves on a riverbank in the year 2012 - the kindergarten in the distance is unharmed, but the fetal ripples in Su Wanqing's womb show **7 years**.

There are no mechanical beasts in Wuhan in the morning fog, and the morning bus crosses the Yangtze River Bridge. The metal flower on Chu Yun's arm has withered, and Dr. Shen's mechanical heart has stopped beating. Su Wanqing walks into the kindergarten and sees her daughter folding a paper boat - using the same paper that will be stained with blood in her future.

As the first rays of sunlight illuminate the river, the three of them simultaneously hear an electronic beep: "The first game is over, the second game will begin in seven years. Su Wanqing's stomach suddenly rumbled, and the electronic pattern showed a brand-new countdown of 2,555 days.
