Chapter 29: Civilization Sandbox

The Federal Laboratory accidentally activates a relic of an ancient civilization - a model of the universe the size of a grain of sand. Dr. Shen was sucked into the microscopic universe when he observed it with a microscope. Hundreds of civilization bubbles float here, each presenting a mirror image of Earth at a different stage of development.

Xiao Man's ripple energy fails here, and Chu Yun taps the space wall with his mechanical arm to trigger a vibration wave. The mechanical girl realized that each bubble had a corresponding energy string that could be plucked like a zither string. Su Wanqing's mecha shrinks down to the nanoscale, leaving behind light trails as it travels between the bubbles.

The team encounters a primitive tribal bubble, which is experiencing the eve of a nuclear war. Dr. Shen tries to teach the peace agreement, but is warned by the system that "intervention is forbidden". Chu Yun realizes that if the bubble's trajectory is changed, the corresponding galaxy in the macrocosm will blink red.

The mechanical girl plucks the energy string and connects the steam era bubble with the interstellar civilization bubble. The two civilizations establish trade through the light track, only to be annihilated three minutes later due to cultural clashes. Xiao Man finds a glowing civilization seed in the ruins.

The Celestial Elders appear in the Microverse, revealing that this is an ancient civilization's training ground. Each Federation representative corresponds to a bubble civilization, and Xiaoman's bubble is reenacting Earth's nuclear explosion crisis. Su Wanqing sees that in her bubble, mechs are slaughtering civilians.

When Chu Yun tries to shatter the dark bubble, he finds that the mech arm begins to carbonize. Dr. Shen cracks the underlying code and discovers that the ancient civilization used this system to screen "qualified seeders". The mechanical girl's energy strings suddenly explode, stringing all the bubbles into genetic chains.

The team embeds the seed of civilization into the main bubble, and the dark trajectory is automatically purified. Federation representatives return to the Macrocosm, bringing back hundreds of civilization recovery scenarios. Xiao Man's ripple energy upgraded out of the prognostic function, which could simulate the civilization development pulse.

Chu Yun used a carbonized mechanical arm to carve out a microcosmic universe monument, with the inscriptions being the names of all annihilated civilizations. Su Wanqing's mecha light track becomes an interstellar highway, connecting nascent civilizations. The Federation releases the Freedom Sowing Charter, and the mechanical girl inscribes in the first line of the charter: "Every civilization is its own god."
