Hostel Arc Begins

An Unexpected Journey

Wei had been adjusting to life at J High when Daniel Park approached him with an invitation. "We're planning a trip to the beach this weekend," Daniel said. "It'd be great if you could join us."

Wei hesitated but agreed, hoping for a relaxing getaway. The group consisted of Daniel, Zack Lee, Mira Kim, Zoe Park, Jace Park, and Vasco. They boarded the train bound for Cheongliang, anticipating a peaceful retreat.

As the train journeyed on, a group of men, later identified as the "train perverts," began causing disturbances. They first targeted Zack by spilling a drink on him. Zack stood, ready to confront them, but Daniel intervened, calming him down to avoid escalating the situation.

The men were momentarily deterred by Vasco's intimidating presence but soon regrouped. During a pit stop, Vasco disembarked to buy snacks but missed the train's departure, leaving the group without one of their strongest members.

Seizing the opportunity, the perverts advanced towards the group. One of them invaded Joy's personal space by smelling her hair. In a surprising move, Zack mirrored the action by smelling the man's hair, attempting to defuse the situation humorously. However, tensions escalated when the man struck Zack. Determined to maintain peace for Mira's sake, Zack restrained himself, even making Daniel promise to shave his head if he retaliated.

The situation deteriorated as the perverts continued their harassment. Despite Zack's restraint, the group's safety was in jeopardy. Wei, observing the unfolding events, felt a surge of protectiveness. With Vasco absent and Zack holding back, he knew action was necessary.

Stepping forward, Wei confronted the leader of the perverts. "Enough," he said firmly. The leader sneered, underestimating Wei. But with swift precision, Wei incapacitated him, sending a clear message to the others.

The remaining perverts hesitated, glancing at each other uncertainly. Seizing the moment, Daniel addressed them with authority. "Leave now, or face the consequences."

Recognizing the shift in power, the perverts retreated, muttering curses under their breath.

The group breathed a collective sigh of relief. Mira tended to Zack's minor injuries, while Daniel thanked Wei for his intervention. "We couldn't have handled that without you," Daniel admitted.

Wei shrugged modestly. "We look out for each other."

As the train continued its journey, the group remained vigilant, their bonds strengthened by the ordeal. They knew the trip ahead held uncertainties, but together, they felt prepared to face whatever challenges awaited them.
