The Morning Chaos
The Nozomi household was never truly peaceful.
And with Teshii living there, mornings were absolute chaos.
The sun had barely risen, but that didn't stop Teshii from immediately causing trouble.
As soon as Hikaru opened his bedroom door, Teshii tackled him.
"GOOD MORNING, SUNSHINE!"
"GET OFF ME, YOU PSYCHO!"
The two wrestled on the floor, knocking over a chair, nearly breaking a lamp, and making enough noise to wake up the entire house.
Sasuke, their father, sighed from the kitchen. "They do this every morning, don't they?"
Sayaka simply sipped her tea. "Yes."
Sasuke shook his head. "I blame you for letting Teshii live here."
Sayaka chuckled. "I blame myself too."
Flirting with Hikari
After Hikaru finally freed himself, he walked into the kitchen, grumbling as he sat down.
Teshii, completely unbothered, was already digging into breakfast.
That's when Hikari walked in.
Still dressed in her volleyball jacket, she stretched her arms, yawning slightly.
Teshii immediately grinned.
"Well, well, if it isn't my favorite volleyball queen."
Hikari smirked. "If I'm your favorite, does that mean I get special treatment?"
Teshii leaned back, hand on his chin as if thinking. "Depends. How special are we talking?"
Hikari tilted her head playfully. "Let's find out."
Hikaru immediately stood up.
"NO."
Sasuke slammed his fist on the table.
"ABSOLUTELY NOT."
Teshii snickered. "Aw, come on. It's just harmless flirting."
Hikaru glared. "Harmless?!"
Hikari just laughed, winking at Teshii before sitting down to eat.
Teshii gave Hikaru a mocking look.
"You're getting more overprotective every day."
Hikaru groaned. "You're gonna be the death of me."
Professor Teshii
Despite being a complete menace at home, Teshii somehow still held his job as a college professor.
And somehow?
He was surprisingly good at it.
In the middle of his lecture, students actually listened, despite his chaotic teaching style.
Hikaru sat in the back of the class, watching in disbelief.
"How do they take him seriously?" he muttered.
Mei, sitting next to him, shrugged. "Honestly? He makes class interesting."
At the front of the room, Teshii pointed dramatically at the board.
"Now, remember this, class! The human brain is like a cat!"
A student hesitantly raised their hand. "Uh… what?"
Teshii nodded. "Unpredictable, moody, and does whatever it wants."
The class laughed.
Hikaru facepalmed.
This man should not be a professor.
Training the Elements
After classes, Teshii made his way to the safehouse, where Hikaru, Haruto, Moriya, Ikazuchi, and Reito were already waiting for training.
Teshii cracked his knuckles. "Alright, losers. Time to level up."
Ikazuchi scoffed. "You're seriously calling us losers?"
Teshii smirked. "Well, are you winners?"
The group fell silent.
Haruto sighed. "I hate that he has a point."
Training commenced immediately—
Hikaru worked on precision with his Light Element.
Haruto refined his water movements, focusing on control over raw power.
Moriya practiced defensive techniques, using wood to counter attacks.
Ikazuchi trained speed and precision with his Thunder Element.
Reito worked on stamina, learning how to maintain his ice without exhausting himself.
Teshii watched them all, correcting mistakes, sparring when needed, and mocking them every chance he got.
At one point, Ikazuchi, breathing heavily, muttered, "How do you do this every day?"
Teshii grinned. "Because I'm built different."
Ikazuchi groaned. "I hate that answer."
Discussion of the Element of Earth
Later in the day, Teshii sat down with Satoshi and Reina at the safehouse to discuss their next move.
Reina placed a map on the table, pointing at a mountain region.
"There's been some seismic activity here," she explained. "Strange tremors, unnatural shifts in the land."
Satoshi folded his arms. "It could be nothing… or it could be the Element of Earth."
Teshii nodded. "Alright. So our next road trip is to the mountains."
Reina sighed. "I hate that you make everything sound like a vacation."
Teshii grinned. "Well, maybe if I start charging people for these missions, it would feel like a vacation."
Satoshi rubbed his temples. "Please never say that again."
Hikari's Bold Move
After a long day, Teshii finally returned to the Nozomi house, stretching as he stepped inside.
He was tired, but in a good way—the kind of exhaustion that came after a solid day of training, annoying Hikaru, and being his usual flawless self.
But as he closed the door behind him, he noticed something.
Someone was waiting for him.
Hikari stood a few feet away, arms crossed, an unreadable expression on her face.
Teshii raised an eyebrow. "You look way too serious. What's up?"
Hikari took a deep breath, as if gathering courage.
Then, without hesitation—
"Go out with me."
Teshii blinked.
For once, he was caught off guard.
"…Wait. Like, a date?"
Hikari nodded. "Yeah. A date."
Teshii scratched the back of his head, a small smirk forming. "Damn. Didn't expect this today."
Hikari raised an eyebrow. "You dodging the question?"
Teshii chuckled. "Nah. Just didn't think you'd be so direct."
Hikari shrugged. "No point in beating around the bush."
Teshii studied her for a moment, then leaned against the wall, arms crossed.
"Well, well. Didn't take you for the type to ask first."
Hikari smirked. "Didn't take you for the type to hesitate."
Teshii let out a short laugh, shaking his head. "Alright, Volleyball Queen. Let's see what you got."
Hikari nodded. "Good. I'll send you the time and place."
Then—without another word—she turned and walked away.
Teshii watched her go, still smirking.
"Well… that just made things interesting."
And just like that—Teshii had a date with Hikari Nozomi.
