Drusilla's crimson eyes glinted with a mix of hunger and disbelief as she leaned closer, her voice trembling slightly. "Your blood… it's intoxicating. No words can describe it. It's divine, unlike anything I've ever tasted. Like it tasted like zwoooop and and my mind became zaaap....."
She began explaining, her words flowing in a way that went completely over Zephyx's head. He couldn't follow everything, but the manner in which her voice fluctuated between obsession and awe unsettled him.
"System," he called out internally, hoping for clarity. "Do you know anything about this?"
[No, host. Most likely, your blood feels divine to her due to your unknown bloodline.]
"My bloodline?" Zephyx murmured to himself. "Maybe…"
As Drusilla finished explaining, her eyes were altered—hungry, obsessive, far from the cold, calculating Drusilla of the game. The air about her was electric, her expression unusually vulnerable but horribly predatory.
"I have changed my mind," she announced abruptly, her voice loaded with conviction. "I am not making you my slave. What if your blood loses its divinity?" Her words rang with a weird possessiveness, as if she had absolute right over him.
It dawned on Zephyx then—that becoming her disciple, or even a vampire, was a much better option than being a mere blood source. And, let's be real, who hasn't dreamed of being a chad vampire with three gorgeous wives? At least he dreamed about it.
"Will it hurt?" Zephyx inquired hesitantly, attempting to push aside both his fear and the strange thrill building inside him.
Drusilla grinned, moving in closer with an unsettling spark of light in her eyes. "No," she whispered, her voice almost soft, almost like a caress. "It won't hurt."
Zephyx exhaled deeply, the tension in his chest loosening just slightly. "Okay," he said, nodding.
Her smile grew, but she then became serious. "Listen attentively," she started, her voice imperative. "First, I will bite you and release my essence in your blood. That is when the process will initiate. After the bloodlust has taken hold, you will bite me on the neck. I will store blood essence in that region for you. For regular vampire transformation, they only need blood, but I am bestowing you with my essence of blood."
"And for your information, you will be my first vampire," she added with a slight flush.
Her blush caught Zephyx off guard. The image of the cold, ruthless Drusilla from the game shattered further. Is she truly the same character?
"Alright," Zephyx said, now more curious than hesitant.
Without hesitation, she sat on him, her thin legs encircling his waist, holding him fast. Her fiery red eyes blazed into his, and her lips twisted into a seductive smile. She leaned into him, her breasts against his chest. "Then… I'm beginning," she said in a voice heavy with expectation.
Before he could respond, her incisors sank into his neck. The first bite hurt acutely; but soon, he could feel a curious heat spreading through his veins as her being merged with his blood.
The system's voice echoed in his mind.
[Vampire essence detected in the host body.]
[Transforming host into vampi… ERROR.]
[ERROR.]
[Bloodline interference detected.]
[Transforming host into Primordial Vampire.]
The words froze Zephyx mid-thought. Primordial Vampire? He stared at the system's panel as a mix of excitement and shock flooded his mind. My bloodline… what is its origin?
With the change starting, he was driven by wild blood lust. He could not help himself and leaned forward to bite Drusilla's neck where she had shown him earlier. When her blood's essence coursed through his body, she moaned sensually, a cry that caused a shiver to run down his spine.
The system's voice interrupted his thoughts.
[Blood essence detected!]
[Category detected: Crimsonvale Vampi… ERROR.]
[Category unsuitable for the host body.]
[Bloodline reacting!]
[New category formed: Eldritch Bloodborn.]
Vampire categories were similar to human classes. All vampires had categories. Pureblood vampires were born with them, while humans or any other race that became vampires acquired their category in the process. But…
Eldritch Bloodborn? The name sounded strange. Not even in the lore of the game had such a category ever been mentioned.
As Zephyx finished drinking the blood essence, Drusilla retracted her fangs, and he did the same.
[All prerequisites for transformation met.]
[Transformation starting…]
Suddenly, a moment later, anguish ripped through Zephyx. His body contorted as supernatural energy flowed through his blood.
He glanced at Drusilla, anticipating deception because, in her words, there would be no pain involved in the procedure. But upon seeing the shock on her face, he thought, "Yup… just me being abnormal."
His heart beat wildly, each thud shooting shockwaves of agony through his chest. His skin blistered and cracked, splitting open as if his human form was rejecting itself. Blood flowed from the cracks, collecting on the ground beneath him. His flesh sloughed off, exposing raw muscle that shone under the strange black dome Drusilla had created, for protection and sound suppression.
Bones cracked and reformed with ghastly snaps, reforming themselves into something new.
His left eye exploded, ichor trickling down his cheek before reforming as a shining red eye thumping with abnormal light. Crimson veins ran over his revealed muscles, throbbing with power.
Every second of pain drove Zephyx closer to losing consciousness, but some primal instinct prevented him from slipping away, compelling him to remain awake and face every second of the change.
Finally, the process ended. His body healed itself, leaving pale, unblemished skin in its wake.
Zephyx panted heavily, trying to process what had just happened. The black dome around the room still pulsed faintly, casting an ominous glow on the blood-soaked floor.
"Status," he muttered internally.
The system panel appeared before him.

He looked at the race tab, where "Primordial Vampire" was listed. In the game, it was mentioned that Primordial Vampires were the first ancestor vampires of their kind.
Then his gaze locked on the category, where Eldritch Bloodborn was mentioned. He had no idea what it meant.
Lastly, his eyes fell on his stats, which had increased greatly. But when he remembered the pain he endured, even these numbers felt underwhelming.
As Zephyx's breathing steadied, he turned to Drusilla. Her eyes were wide with shock, awe, and concern as she stared at him, her lips parted slightly.
