Privilege letter II

Duskwood Dukedom:-

In a high, richly decorated chamber with elaborately carved on its wooden walls, two young girls sat upon a great, canopied bed covered with deep red silk.

The gold embroidery on the drapes glimmered lightly in the subdued candlelight, and a subtle scent of new lavender wafted through the air.

A high arched window on the one side looked out over the spread of the Duskwood estate.

A lovely girl with long, jet-black hair and piercing blue eyes looked at the girl sitting in front of her with an astonished look of pure delight.

"Then what?" the girl demanded, her eyes shining with interest.

Sylvia, whose wavy pink hair cascaded down her shoulders, smiled softly before continuing, "When a beast was about to pounce on me, Zephyx pulled me close by my waist and killed the beast instantly. His lips were only inches away from mine, his blue eyes fixed on mine, and then he inquired, 'Are you okay, Sylvia?'"

[A/n: She is making all this up ¯\_ಠ_ಠ_/¯]

The black-haired girl, Stella, blushed furiously, holding her cheeks in embarrassment as she muttered, "I also want to meet him."

Sylvia's gray eyes narrowed as she stared at Stella with an almost predatory possessiveness. Her voice dropped into a dangerously soft tone, "If you're thinking about seducing my Zephyx, forget it. He is all mine, Stella."

Stella winced under Sylvia's sharp stare, automatically recoiling before weakly apologizing, "Sorry, I didn't mean it that way."

Sylvia, observing her sister's submissive reaction, let out a gentle snicker before embracing her warmly. "You're too cute, Stella."

Stella pouted slightly but couldn't help but suppress the tiny smile on her lips. "You do know I'm the older one here, right?"

"But only by a day," Sylvia retorted smugly.

Before Stella could respond, the air in front of them warped, mana churning in a whirlpool before two black envelopes appeared suspended in mid-air. They lingered for a second before softly floating down into the hands of the girls.

Sylvia and Stella looked at each other before hastily opening their individual letters.

---

Dear Sylvia,

You are provided this privilege letter from the principal of Setra Academy for your extraordinary talent. You do not need to take the entrance exam, as you have already been selected.

Thank you.

---

Stella grinned, holding her letter up before Sylvia. "What do you think? Do you think your Zephyx received this privilege as well?"

Sylvia didn't even blink before answering with complete confidence, "Hmph! He certainly received one. There's no question about it."

Stella laughed at her sister's absolute confidence. "Okay, let's go inform Mother and Father."

Sylvia nodded, and with that, the two sisters stood up, excitement buzzing between them as they left the room, black letters clutched tightly in their hands.

Montclair Dukedom:-

The dining room was a refined stretch of marble floors and high-arched windows. The long mahogany table, polished to a mirror finish, ran the length of the room, set with fine silverware and crystal goblets.

A magnificent chandelier, its intricate carvings sparkling, hung overhead, filling the room with a warm glow. Thick velvet drapes covered the windows, their rich crimson hue matching the gold-embroidered chairs set in orderly rows around the table.

The air was filled with the faint scent of fresh-baked bread and spiced meats, mingling with the soft clinking of cutlery.

Three people sat there.

At the head of the table sat a man with a muscular build, his black hair mixing well with his dark eyes as he dined on his meal with an elegant calmness. His presence had an aura of authority about it, yet there was a warmth that radiated in his eyes.

To his left was seated a woman with long, flowing black locks and beautiful golden eyes. She sat regally, her commanding presence yet gentle.

Opposite her sat a young girl who looked very much like the women in front of her, her black hair flowing down her shoulders, the same golden eyes flashing determination.

"How is your training going, Elowen?" the man asked, his deep voice carrying across the room.

"Good... Father," Elowen replied, her voice hesitant. It had not yet been six months since she discovered that the Patriarch of the Montclair Ducal Family was her father.

Simon Montclair.

The night before the beast attack on Tywnpier, her mother had revealed the truth, taking Elowen with her to Aerendell.

[A/n: She doesn't know about beast attack in Tywnpier]

At first, she had assumed that her father had abandoned them, but her mother explained that she had been forced into hiding due to certain circumstances. Now that things had settled, they had returned.

The adjustment had not been easy. The lavish way of life was initially a shock to her, but with time, she grew to adapt.

Simon's eyes softened as he listened to Elowen struggle with the term 'father.' He understood it would take a while before she was finally comfortable.

Aurora, Elowen's mother, smiled at her daughter with a teasing expression. "How much has he improved, Elowen?"

"Who?" Elowen questioned, her eyebrows furrowing.

Aurora's smile grew. "The one you're always hanging out with."

Elowen's cheeks flushed a little. "Mom, we just train together."

"Oh, really?" Aurora teased. "So, how much has Alaric improved?"

Elowen exhaled, trying to regain her composure. "He just reached Tier-3." Then, as if to divert attention, she quickly added, "I'm also about to break through."

Before the discussion could proceed, the mana in front of Elowen warped, and a black letter appeared before her.

Simon and Aurora smiled knowingly as Elowen picked up the letter and opened it.

---

Dear Elowen,

You are provided this privilege letter from the principal of Setra Academy for your extraordinary talent. You do not need to take the entrance exam, as you have already been selected.

Thank you.

---

"Congratulations, Elowen," Simon said, his voice filled with pride.

"Congratulations, dear," Aurora added warmly.

Elowen looked up from the letter, a small but genuine smile forming on her lips. "Thank you, Mother. Thank you, Father."

Thorne Dukedom:-

On the training ground of the Thorne family, a guy with blonde hair and green eyes was swinging a sword horizontally, sweating buckets.

"997... 998... 999... 1000," he counted as he swung the sword for the last time. A ding resounded in his mind.

[Ding~]

[You have completed the daily quest]

[All stats +1]

Alaric looked at the screen in front of him and smiled.

He still remembered the day when he hadn't awakened any affinity, and the people around him ridiculed him. In a fit of anger, he had set off from the capital city to hunt beasts and become stronger.

One day, a strong beast attacked him, and he survived barely. When his blood splashed on an ancient stone, he was rewarded with a system from it.

This system not only awakened his affinities in him but also rewarded him with numerous rewards from the quests.

When he returned home, he took his revenge by defeating those who had bullied him. His father was also surprised by his progress.

"Status," he muttered.

The panel appeared before him.

Glancing at his increased stats, he smiled.

The following instant, the mana before him warped, and a black letter appeared before him.

He didn't go into a frenzy because his system hadn't warned him of threat. He reached out and opened the letter, beginning to read it.

---

Dear Alaric,

Thank you.

He smirked and started heading toward his father's office to tell him about this.
