Chapter 26: Invasion of the Land Kingdom 5

A signal fire was lit. "It's finally happening," I looked at Hans. "Yes, it's here. Please tell everyone not to enter the river. It's extremely, extremely dangerous."

"Send out messengers. A mountain tsunami is coming. Get away from the river." "I'll go to Lord Schwartz. Ryuu, handle the rest." "Understood. I'll follow the pre-determined strategy." "I'm counting on you."

The water upstream had been dammed, so the river level was low enough to walk across. "Get away from the river! A mountain tsunami is coming!" "Leave the river immediately, or you'll die!" "Move, move!" Messengers ran around shouting.

As expected, some people were playing in the reduced river, ignoring orders, but they quickly fled upon hearing the warnings.

A deep, ominous rumbling began from upstream.

Finally, the mountain tsunami arrived. It was literally a massive, pitch-black wall of water.

It destroyed everything in its path—trees, soil, structures—consuming and sweeping everything downstream with a thunderous roar. An unimaginably huge, black mass of water approached with a deafening sound.

It was beyond human control, essentially a natural disaster.

"What is that black mass?" "A mountain tsunami?" "I've never seen anything so terrifying." "Is this the work of the devil?" "Run further back, or you'll be swept away!" Allied soldiers turned pale and stepped back.

Finally, the mountain tsunami crashed into Plymouth Castle's western wall.

The thundering water hit the wall with a tremendous boom, grinding and eroding the stone.

While the wall might have withstood water alone, this tsunami carried hundreds of logs, rocks, and miscellaneous debris. Logs crashed repeatedly against the wall. The wall began to warp, and finally collapsed after hundreds of logs struck it.

"Woohoo!" "We did it!" Cheers erupted from the allied forces. Some raised their hands and ran around, others hugged each other in joy.

Inside the castle, a military council was in session. There were some officers and soldiers who wanted to surrender to Victoria, but the castle's commander, a relative of King John, absolutely refused to yield.

A heavy rumbling sound began, gradually growing louder. "What's happening?" "What are the lookouts doing?"

A messenger burst in. "A mountain tsunami! It's approaching and will hit the western wall soon!" Everyone was shocked.

A heavy BOOM echoed, and a massive impact made the castle shake. "What was that?" "The tsunami has hit the wall."

Continuous banging sounds reverberated, and the castle kept shaking from the impacts. People could barely stand, holding onto nearby objects. "Will the wall hold?" "I don't know."

Everyone hoped the thunderous sound and impacts would stop, but another tremendous crash came, with a roar getting closer. "No way..."

Another messenger rushed in. "The western gate has collapsed! The tsunami is entering the castle. The western side is in complete chaos. Awaiting your instructions!"

The castle's leadership was speechless, having never imagined the wall would actually collapse. The western wall had been destroyed over a wide area by the mountain tsunami.
