084: Game On, Konoha's First Boss!

A tremendous roar along with the sound of a crumbling building erupted from behind him.

The nearly seven-meter-tall, twenty-meter-long Blazing Evil Beast, impervious to physical blows, had single-handedly toppled the Hokage Tower!

"What happened? How did a perfectly normal ginger cat suddenly transform into a monster?"

"Could it be, as Natsuki said, it truly was an Evil Beast?"

Nearby ANBU operatives leaped into action, countless shuriken and kunai raining down on the Blazing Evil Beast.

A clanging sound echoed.

Unfortunately, the Blazing Evil Beast remained unscathed, even comfortably half-closing its eyes.

The attack was no more than a tickle to the beast.

"Impossible! How could a normal little cat suddenly turn into a monster? Such a thing has never been heard of in the ninja world!"

"It must be an illusion! I'll break it!"

A ninja wearing a dog-faced mask shouted.

His hands rapidly formed seals.

"Release!!!"

A gust of wind swept through.

The scene before them remained unchanged. 

The Blazing Evil Beast's body even began to ignite with raging flames.

It glared at the dumbfounded human, annoyed that he had stopped throwing things for it to scratch against.

How dare you slack off, die!!

With a flick of its tail, like a giant steel whip, it viciously swatted the dog-faced ANBU operative away, crashing him through two buildings.

Then, it raised its head and roared furiously!

"Roar!!!"

Demonic flames surged around its body, and a character for "King(王)" gradually formed on its forehead.

It was Majestic and intimidating!

In the next moment, it turned its head, its gaze fixed on an old man with a smoking pipe in his hand. 

Its eyes gradually reddened.

Hiruzen felt a wave of terrifying, violent killing intent wash over him. 

He glanced at his pipe.

He quickly tossed it away!

But it was too late!

Roar!

The Blazing Evil Beast instantly crossed the distance of several dozen meters, slamming a palm down and pulverizing the Third Hokage.

Its giant paw pressed into the ground, crushing it further.

Smoke faintly rose from beneath its claws.

A moment later, on the roof of a civilian house, Hiruzen reappeared.

"If ninja tools are ineffective, we'll use ninjutsu!

"Everyone, use Water Style! To extinguish the fire on that beast!"

Hiruzen waved his hand, commanding all the ANBU surrounding the beast.

"Water Style: Water Dragon Bullet Jutsu!"

"Water Style: Water Colliding Waves!"

"Water Style: Water Shark Bomb Jutsu!"

Various powerful Water Style techniques roared from all directions.

Boom!!

They slammed into the Blazing Evil Beast, stirring up a tsunami-like wave dozens of meters high.

Everything within a hundred-meter radius was instantly swept clean.

Hiruzen felt a pang of pain. 

The bills, banknotes, and valuables from his private properties, which had just been submitted at the end of the month, were all gone. 

They were in his private lounge, under the rubble, burning, but now soaking wet. It was destroyed beyond the shadow of a doubt.

The documents he had spent several days and nights writing, even working overtime last night, detailing the joint Chunin Exams proposal to be sent to the various hidden villages, were also gone.

His heart bled. 

He could only find time to rewrite them. He had to let the other villages witness Konoha's grand event.

Konoha was still the number one hidden village!

However, while the Hokage Tower used to be the safest place in all of Konoha, now it seemed to be the most dangerous.

He couldn't risk storing valuables in the Hokage Tower anymore.

A massive amount of water vapor billowed, gradually forming a dense fog.

At the center, a gigantic figure flickered in and out of view. 

The flames surrounding it boiled even more furiously, as if oil had been poured onto a fire.

"Impossible! It's still not dead?"

Hiruzen's pupils constricted as he rapidly analyzed the beast's weaknesses.

Then he realized... it had no weaknesses???

Invulnerable to weapons and impervious to fire extinguishing techniques?

"Mon... Monster!"

"The Nine-Tails is attacking again! Run!!!"

"Idiot, that only has one tail. How could it be the Nine-Tails?"

"The Nine-Tails is only a fox demon, this is a Tiger Demon. Even more terrifying than the Nine-Tails!"

"Don't be afraid, everyone! Lord Hokage is here, he'll definitely take care of it!"

The surrounding crowd was finally drawn by the commotion.

Amidst the discussions and frantic warnings, most people ran away, while a smaller group remained, watching from a safe distance with hopeful anticipation.

There were always curious onlookers, no matter the situation.

Hiruzen's face darkened. The villagers were looking at him; he couldn't falter or let the morale wane.

He suddenly remembered the first people who recognized this creature as an Evil Beast, Kurenai's team.

He quickly summoned a pig-masked ANBU:

"Quickly evacuate the civilians! Don't let them cause trouble."

"Also, immediately bring Kurenai's team here. They seem to have known this was an Evil Beast all along."

"The rest of you, use Earth Style and Lightning Style to keep the beast occupied."

"Yes, sir!" 

The pig-faced ANBU responded loudly, instantly transforming into a puff of smoke and vanishing.

At that moment, Kurenai's team was also standing in a nearby alley, observing the chaos.

"How did such a massive monster suddenly appear at the Hokage Tower?"

"N-Natsuki... Could that kitten really have been an Evil Beast?"

Kiba asked, dumbfounded and in disbelief.

So, all those unbelievably cringy things he spouted were all… were they true?

Kurenai wore the same expression of disbelief.

"Indeed, my Eyes of Death saw through everything long ago. That kitten was controlled by evil power and had already transformed into an Evil Beast."

"It wouldn't have gone berserk so soon, but..." Natsuki declared gravely.

"But, smoke from Lord Hokage's caused it to completely lose control?"

Kiba's eyes widened as he recalled Natsuki stopping them from entering the Hokage's office.

He had said that the harmful substances in the Hokage's smoke would enrage the Devil Beast.

He never expected it to actually happen.

"Congratulations, you're learning to appreciate my brilliance," Natsuki said, feigning surprise. "You're actually getting smarter, Silly Pigmon."

"W-What? Pigmon?" Kiba froze, his face twitching as if he too, would go berserk at anytime.

"Don't just give people random nicknames, you asshole!"

Compared to that, the previous codename was much better! Kiba flailed his arms, wanting to pounce on Natsuki.

Akamaru firmly bit onto his pants leg, digging his paws into the ground and pulling back with all his might, preventing him from doing anything reckless.

Kurenai watched him with exasperation.

What in the hell is this children doing being so dramatic?! If you really wanted to teach Natsuki a lesson, Akamaru wouldn't be able to hold you back.

She had been planning to send her team away and go support the Hokage and protect Konoha herself.

But seeing these goofballs, she knew something else would definitely happen if she left them alone.

Just then, a pig-masked ninja quietly appeared before them.

"Lady Kurenai," the pig-masked ninja said respectfully.

"Your team was the first to discover this Evil Beast, correct?

"Lord Hokage requests your presence. Please come with me!"

"Great! The real Pigmon appeared!" Hinata pointed excitedly at the masked ANBU. 

Natsuki was really amazing! He always hinted at things with such ambiguity, and they happened!

Kiba's face darkened further. He had gotten riled up for nothing!

Akamaru's grip on him loosened.

The pig-masked ANBU shuddered.

Is it an offence to use pig masks now? Where is the freedom, where is the justice?!
