"Who is Aria?" John asked, his eyes narrowing at Tony.
Tony exhaled, his expression dark. "She's my friend."
John folded his arms. "Where is she now?"
Tony didn't answer immediately. Instead, he turned to Togo. "Where is she?"
Togo's voice came through the communicator. "She's at the All Meat Restaurant on New Place Street, Section 4, Code Red."
John scoffed. "Did you hear that?"
Tony nodded.
John shook his head in disbelief. "She went to the most delicious restaurant after killing all of my men? How can she eat after brutally murdering so many people?"
Tony didn't respond. His mind was full—full of memories, of good times with Aria, of the person she used to be.
John, however, wasn't dwelling on the past. He pulled out his phone. "Bring in the System Police. She's not a small threat. She's medium-large now. We're heading to the All Meat Restaurant—the busiest one. See you there."
John hung up and turned to Tony. "Let's go."
The All Meat Restaurant
The place was packed.
Waiters rushed between tables, delivering massive plates of steak, ribs, and drumsticks. The scent of sizzling meat filled the air, and people chatted loudly, oblivious to the storm heading their way.
John scanned the room. "She's here."
Tony sighed. "We don't have to look for her. She's on TV."
John turned to the nearest screen—and his jaw dropped.
There she was. Aria.
Winning an eating contest.
The camera zoomed in on her victorious smirk as she lifted the championship trophy, meat sauce smeared on her cheek. The crowd around her cheered, completely unaware of what she had done just hours ago.
John gritted his teeth. "I'm disgusted. Your friend is a monster. This isn't the first time she's killed, is it?"
Tony's gaze darkened. "You're right."
John frowned. "How do you know I'm right?"
Tony's voice was quiet, but firm. "Because she always says—'Life is useless unless you can control it. If you can't, then it's just a tool to be used.'"
John clenched his fists. "Then it's time she pays for all the lives she took."
Without hesitation, they ran into the restaurant.
The crowd barely noticed them at first, still caught up in the contest excitement. Aria stood on the stage, trophy in hand, grinning.
Then—BANG! BANG! BANG!
Three shots fired into the ceiling.
Screams. Panic. Chaos.
The restaurant erupted as people dove under tables and rushed for the exits.
Aria slowly turned her gaze toward Tony. Her eyes locked onto his, and she sighed. "I told you—I don't like heroes."
Tony's voice was steady. "You saved my life three times. You are a hero to me."
Aria's lips curled into a smirk. "That's why I hate myself."
John stepped forward, gun still raised. "Tony, she needs to go to jail."
Tony exhaled. "True. She will go."
Then—BOOM.
In an instant, Tony's body blurred.
The sheer force of his movement shattered the air around him as he sprinted toward Aria at impossible speed. He reached for her—
But she was gone.
She reappeared outside the building in a flash, staring at Tony through the glass. "You know I'm stronger, faster, more powerful—like always. So why do you even try?"
Tony stepped forward, his jaw tightening. "Because I'm a police officer. I serve the people. I work for the law. And the law says murder is illegal—so you must go to jail."
Aria chuckled. "You're such a fool."
Then—BANG.
A shot rang out.
Aria staggered, eyes widening as blood trickled from her side. She turned sharply, glaring at John. "You… you're from the System Police."
John smirked. "You're a smart lady."
Aria clenched her teeth, her fingers twitching. Then, she slipped her gloves on.
And vanished.
Not into the air. Not into the shadows.
Into the Cyber World.
The Arrival of the System Police
The air was heavy with tension.
John watched his phone screen as his call connected.
A robotic voice answered: "Head Commander, we have received your orders."
Then, in the distance—sirens.
The System Police had arrived.
An officer stepped out, adjusting his cyber-enhanced visor. "What's the status, sir?"
John didn't even blink. "She disappeared into the Cyber World."
The officer's face darkened. "Then we have a serious problem."
Because Aria was no longer just human.
She was Cyber-Human.
