Chapter 46: Preparation for War

The Nightcrawler base has changed a lot now. A complete set of enterprise terminal computer processing system has replaced the broken notebook bought by Jason. Now this notebook has been given to Spider-Man Peter, asking him to use it to play Spider Solitaire.

Nine display screens were hung on the wall, showing surveillance images shot from 54 different angles, to ensure that anyone invading the base would be discovered immediately.

There are three infrared-triggered security devices at the last intersection near the base, which is the last warning system of the base. There is also a medical freezer inside the base, which contains some medicines that need to be refrigerated at low temperatures to ensure their activity.

All the small cabinets that Jason had bought to store things have been converted into storage cabinets. They are stacked together and are specifically used to store sundries and documents.

The base also has some daily necessities, such as a sofa, two single steel beds, and several chairs, as well as a freezer for food and a microwave.

The place where wooden boards were originally put together to serve as a simple table has been replaced with a stainless steel tabletop.

This makes the table more durable and the surface smoother. The hole itself is quite large, and it looks like it can accommodate at least fifty people.

The air-raid shelter was built during the Cold War to prevent a nuclear attack from the Soviet Union. Although it is not a first-level shelter that can withstand a nuclear bomb attack, it can defend against shock waves far away from the center of a nuclear explosion.

The alloy iron door originally used to isolate nuclear radiation had already rusted, and Jason could only use an iron chain and an iron lock to barely lock the iron door.

However, after Frank joined Jason and Peter's team, he thought that this alloy iron door was very good. Ordinary weapons could not shoot through this iron door, so the three of them spent several hours to remove the rust and tidy up the entire iron door, and finally they were able to close the iron door perfectly.

Because it was used to defend against nuclear bomb attacks, there are actually many living facilities inside. However, because this air-raid shelter was built forty years ago and the Soviet Union collapsed almost thirty years ago, many things have fallen into disrepair and are no longer used.

Before, Jason only cleaned a small part of the place. It was originally just a place to meet with Spider-Man and also used as a warehouse.

But now that Frank was here, he felt that these things were very useful and much better than the base he had previously set up in the sewer, so the three of them repaired and replaced many of the equipment in the air-raid shelter.

The base now has a real prototype. It has a living and rest area, a combat information area, a weapons and equipment area, and bathroom facilities. And because of the vast internal space, a simple combat training area was built at Frank's suggestion.

Jason thought the base he had set up was pretty good before, but now Frank made Jason and Peter see what professionalism is.

This is a real base with combat command and intelligence analysis, as well as a base for team members to repair and replenish weapons. The one that Jason had before was at best a simple foothold.

Of course, most of these equipment were provided by Frank, which made Jason very suspicious whether Frank had looted a logistics warehouse of the US military.

Now Peter Parker is making his own spider silk in the equipment area. He spent $150,000 from the drug money seized last time. He relied on Frank's relationship to launder the money and get the equipment.

Jason and Peter suddenly felt that they were useless, and it seemed that they could do nothing except fighting. What made them most angry was that if Frank had made adequate preparations and formulated a battle plan, they might not be able to defeat Frank. This was the difference between a real superhero and a rookie hero.

Frank and Jason are now preparing weapons in the weapons area. These weapons are all Frank's private collection. I really don't know where he got so many contraband items.

Although the United States does not ban guns, many guns are still not available on the market. Frank's warehouse obviously has a lot of standard equipment of the US military, and even special warfare equipment. These things are obviously not available on the market.

"I remember you are a pretty good shooter, right, Nightwalker?" Punisher Frank said to Jason while sorting out his weapons.

"It's okay. It's still accurate when the distance is not too far." Jason was maintaining a gun according to the method Frank taught him before.

In addition to tidying up the base, the three of them had not been idle these days. Jason was worried about several of his tasks, Peter was still thinking about dealing with the mutant lizard man he had created, and Frank was still preparing to wipe out the Stanich family.

Now the three of them had a highly unified goal, all of which was focused on the secret warehouse of the Stanich family. The three of them took turns to keep an eye on and study the warehouse's duty rules.

Only after following Frank did Jason realize how reckless his behavior was in the underground garage. He had no plan, no strategic intention, and he didn't even know the opponent's strengths and weaknesses before diving in.

Fortunately, I still have some strength, otherwise I would not know how I died.

Frank had a detailed plan for each operation with clear strategic intentions, including studying the enemy's patterns and strength, formulating detailed combat rules, etc.

These are areas where Jason is far superior. Although it was only a few short days, Jason felt that he benefited greatly.

The opportunity to be taught how to fight by the strongest special warfare expert among humans is not easy to come by.

Now Jason has been following Frank's buttocks, and he is almost calling him master. Now the two are preparing the guns that will be used in the immediate action.

The tranquilizer gun used by the U.S. military special operations has a short range of only 200 meters and has almost no lethality. However, it can instantly put the enemy to sleep with its powerful tranquilizer bullets.

The biggest advantage of this gun is that it has no muzzle flash, which makes it almost impossible to detect the firing position of this gun in the dark.

Moreover, the sound when the bullet is fired is almost silent, which makes this type of gun widely used in special infiltration operations.

People who don't understand guns may think that using a silencer on a gun is fine, but there is a misunderstanding here. The so-called silencer is actually a flash suppressor.

The purpose of this equipment is to suppress the muzzle flame, and its effect on silencer is limited. And even if it is a real silencer, its purpose is only to protect the user's ears from the noise of gunfire.

The actual effect is far from as magical as shown in the movie. If you really want to achieve the silencer effect in the movie, you must use a special gun with a silent bullet and a silencer.

Frank also has a few of these special spy guns, but they are too weak and have little killing power beyond ten meters, so they are only suitable for some very special infiltration operations.

The assault plan on the Stanich family warehouse was designated by Frank. The first goal of the mission was not to alert the enemy.

According to Frank's observations, there were more than sixty fully armed soldiers in the warehouse. Except for a few people from the Stanich family, most of them were mercenaries from the Red Water Security Company.

Unlike the gang members of the mafia, mercenaries have stronger fighting ability and vigilance. Any behavior that leads to a head-on conflict is foolish.

You have to know that there are only three people on our side. And now we know that the mutant lizard warrior may also stand on the side of the Stanich family.

And according to the intelligence, there were three mutant mercenaries sent by the Red Water Security Company, and even if there was a Chameleon guy among them, he was killed by Jason. (Jason thought that Chameleon was dead.)

Then the other side has two mutant warriors, plus a big lizard. Our side has no advantage in high-end combat power.

Everything now depends on a perfect battle plan, so that our side can eliminate most of the mercenaries without the other side being alert.

The sound of gunfire and the smell of blood would easily expose yourself; silent sneaking was the most important thing.

In fact, Jason and Peter are both a little nervous now. Neither of them has ever performed this kind of special operation. Now they can only rely on Frank, the old driver, to lead the two newcomers.

The long-awaited truck finally arrived at the Stanich family's warehouse. The most important cargo for this transaction finally arrived.

Frank packed his equipment and prepared to launch a stealth assault with two novice heroes who had never performed special operations.

The conflict between the two sides is imminent.
