Chapter 05: Idol

Free shelter and food, was that what Qin An need right now? Upon hearing Li Bai's persuasion, he was really tempted to say yes immediately, so he did without thinking too much.

What's the matter with being an idol? He was here in this new world where he has nothing nor anyone who can help him. He really had no choice but to accept this first.

Li Bai was stunned by his fast decision but eventually became even more enthusiastic.

"Are you available today? There's still some time before the audition. I can explain to you about this competition and prepare for your performances." Qin An nodded and he was led to a small cafe in the mall.

They sat on a corner and Li Bai quickly sent a virtual profile of his brain in front of him to let him see the dashboard regarding Lucky99.

Qin An quickly skimmed through it.

Lucky99 is a competition between 99 young men. They will rank each round after performing different talents in singing and dancing together until the last round. It was still just like the talent show that he saw in Blue Star.

The only difference was in this interstellar, the high technology allows the audience and the performers itself to improve their creativity and performances into much higher intensity.

In Blue Star, the audience can only watch them through the stage or a higher platform. Even with moving platforms, it was still inevitable to stay put for safety, whereas in Interstellar, Qin An can see on the profile about the various videos of their performances.

Audiences can be put in a certain position wherein they can virtually feel as if they are the only audience. Or even if they want a concert point of view, they can be treated as if they sit on the middle most of the stage as if the stars in front of them were performing purely for them. In addition, the virtual is no longer restrained through seeing only, the audience can feel, smell, hear or even taste.

What was even more wonderful is that the performers themselves control the things around them. It means that they can imagine everything and plan whatever they want and the data from the network can immediately create it without a second thought. It was a perfect creation for performers to truly unleash their potential not only for expressing themselves through singing and dancing, but to truly integrate anyone to the world and emotions they want to convey.

Qin An clicks on a video using his brain to connect his nerves. Immediately, he felt as if his surroundings changed like data gathering, forming into as if he was sitting in a large stadium.

Qin An looked at his surroundings. He was sitting in the middle of the stadium wherein a huge stage was right in front of him.

Immediately, a melody engulfed the whole stage as a long string of white dusk formed in the middle of the stage. Little by little as if there was a wind, it circled around until a young man wearing a white long wide sleeves with black leather fitted pants was revealed.

He was also wearing a pair of ice skating shoes.

The young man has a pair of peach blossom eyes, it makes whoever stares hook as if it was innocently seducing the viewer. Then, a bewitching smile forms on its lips as it raises its arms and starts maneuvering.

The surroundings also begin to change. The arena became winter. The whole stage became like thin ice as snowflakes started to rain. Qin An can even feel the cold wind as if it was really winter and his fingertips were able to touch the snowflakes.

Qin An was stunned by this technology. It was really far from what he had seen with the souls he guided on Earth. It's just a matter of seeing and feeling in the past yet now, even the slightest detail can be added with just a matter of flick from the mental power.

"The winter is coming again for me to love you, dear~"

As if an ice prince enchantingly dancing with the winter, the melody of the songs seems to whisper in his ears. As if the young man was telling him that even after the winter came, his love will still burn and will never extinguish.

Qin An watched the young man do skating movements; slides, turn, jump and even did an axel jump which was very difficult to achieve in Blue Star back then. He did that with ease and natural as if the latter was born to skate and all he had to do was to look at you with his pair of enchanting eyes and truly love him with all his heart.

However, who was Qin An?

Qin An was born in the underworld and served the world for thousands of years. He had long been left by desires or any emotions inside him.

So just after the young man finished his performance, he was quick to exit without any expression on his face.

After that, his surroundings turn into large data again until it breaks and turns into dusk, revealing his original location which was inside the cafe.

Li Bai's eyes turn bright. "How was it? That was Bai Yue. He was one of the top idols in the industry and was sought out by everyone. He's great, right? Besides, you've seen how magnificent his performance is. Bai Yue's mental strength is A+, so he can totally control everything on the stage."

Qin An fell on a thought when he heard something about mental strength.

That is right. In this era, mental and physical strength is very important. Since the beginning, scientists have been able to develop things that helped humans become stronger, thus making an average human live for about 200 years at most. It also helped them fight with the Zergs lurking around every year.

One thing that greatly helped them was their mental strength. The greater the mental strength, the higher the capability to defeat Zergs who were aggressive to attack through mental ability.

However, 15 years had passed since the last huge outbreak of Zergs and until now, peace was already expected, that is why people with high mental strength can finally choose other things rather than becoming a soldier. That was a great opportunity to become the person that they want and live comfortably.

Unfortunately... Qin An already checked his identity earlier.

His physical attribute is A+, while his mental strength... It's an error.

Can an error create something?
