"Give up..?"
The gray haired figure gagged,
In the abyssal zone, a pocket of wrapped space.created by an antique. There was no sky, no ground, only an endless sea of floating white tiles slabs.
Hovering flames, decorated the vast emptiness, flickering as they floated mid air, licking at the void.
One one of the floating slabs, Haruki stood motionles.
Cuts lined his arms, thin streaks of blood trickled down, floating into the frayed remains of his once clean summer dress shirt. The scars clung to him like a battle born bannner.
His stance was calm, he sighed, despite the injuries he radiated a detached focus his almond eyes focused on the figure before him.
She stood across him a few meters out from a higher sla, wrapped in her dark robe, panting.
Blood stained her face, tricklimg down from a nasty cut above her brow. One arm hung limp in her side, the other gripped a massive claymore now planted in the slab, she shook.
Haruki took a single step forward.
"Tell me something" he said as he stretched out his hand.
'Time out..'
Tiny golden fireflies spawned out of mid air, swirling and weaving in his hand. They spun until they fused into a long menacing tachi.
The blade looked like it had been forged from some sort of mirror like steel glowing faintly.
"How powerful of an attack can this domain hold".
His smirk turned sinister, his aura exploded.
The slab under him rippled, and the surrounding area pulsed with heat.
The tachi in his hand— once a pristine mirror like blade exploded with flames and heat, the area around the void began to melt.
During the duration of this battle Haruki had been tentatively holding back he had not summoned the tachi till now, only wait an hour until Zach actually evacuated the place.
Honestly the old man didn't know if the Zach had even seen the note so he just had to trust his instincts.
He had been holding back, until now.
The surrounding void flashed as hundreds of blades flew from different directions, combing in front of the paladin.
Her hand trembled gripping the giant blade in her hands, she looked at Haruki, blood dripping from her forehead.
The void began moving and shifting, drawn towards the blade in Harukis hand.
The tachi, now fully awaken pulsed with light, haruki raised the long katana, swinging it down with enough down force to crush a small hill.
The space around him cracked as the tears spread round the void, the robed paladins looked in shock, as her domain broke, literally.
From one slash of Harukis tachi, the space around was riddled with cracks and began to break apart, shattering like glass under pressure.
The sight of the tiles, walls, ceilings, emergency light flashing brought back his sense of place.
Blood rushed from her mouth as she gagged, falling to her knees, blood gushed from her mouth as she choked, pouring red onto the spotless white floors.
"H-How.." Her eyes wide.
"How did you destroy my antique with just a single swing.." her eyes wide, unblinking.
Her baffled eyes were glassy. She blinked, unable to believe what just happened.
Haruki didn't answer, wielding the katana walking towards her.
Four more figures stepped out of the nothingness behind her.
The air frist twisted unnaturally and then they came out, figures, each of them wore identical black robes adorned with ancient sigils.
Haruki stopped his walk.
"They sent more..?" He blinked then sighed....
"I guess those bastards know me too well."
On the other side, a robed figure walked towards her placing his hands on her shoulder.
Instantly the previous wounds from her earlier Battle closed up, the bleeding had stopped completely.
The old man looked at the team of five.
"Elder Zain.. I'm sorry" She muttered.
"It's ok.." a tall hooded figure spoke, calm and composed.
Another stepped forward, considerably taller than the others.
"There was a reason the order sent five star knights to deal with one man" he said.
Haruki eyes skimmed around, the white hallway.
Silence loomed.
The upper rooms has been cleared, his senses reach far and wide around the building.
It seemed that the whole place had been evacuated.
The robe figure began removing their hood one by one.
The frist woman, the one he'd been fighting just now—young, grey haired and violent eyes, her skin pale as moon light. Her face bore a scar on her right cheek and her expression was stern but a bit conflicted.
The second.. was a brute, a broad shouldered man with bronze skin and a thick beard, in his hand were two glowing gauntlets, glowing a deep crimson.
The other was a muscular woman, shaved. Her whip cracked, as her black eyes, void of pupils stared at Haruki. The other, a bit childlike I'm size just stool quietly looking at the drama.
Haruki glanced at the last of them.
Black scales, his white hair cascaded down, past his shoulders.
Haruki could tell he was different from the others.
Haruki raised his blade.
No more holding back I guess.
