THE PREVIOUS NIGHT

The night the new guardian arrived was unpleasant for everyone.That night as Emma sat on the floor her arms still chained ,her wrist still twisted and turning purple,from the Eduardo encounter . She heard footsteps descending the staircase.The chamber was cooler now ,the heater having being switched off,the glass was clear so she could see who it was ."Kast!" She called out in a joyful whisper ." How are you feeling now?any better?" She asked but received no answer ." You killed the nun, didn't you You got upset and it's normal.just admit it!"

Kast scolded " what!?...no ..no.i ..I didn't! I wouldn't! Kast you know that!......Kast c'mon it's me for christsake! I wouldn't be that reckless about it even if I did!" She said as if almost pleading." So you would do it? Hmmm ,he smirked ." I have been all over trying to prove everyone wrong yet you are guilty! He scolded harshly .His eyes were darker due to the lighting," everything points to you Emma ! I've caused myself enough embarrassment! You belong in that rehab you will be going to tomorrow! Not Carl!.All I have ever done was to protect you and this is what I get? HUH!?" he turned gently and walked away, turning back on the heater before shutting the gates to the chamber halls .Emma could not believe what had just happened,Kast hated her.He didn't even give her time.Why would he say such horrid things?

Emma,14

I sat not sure how to take in the words said to me.I knew Karl said mean things out if rage but never to me. " I told you!" A child's voice echoes in the chamber." They will always hate us Emma!why do you still try to prove them wrong?we are evil! We were born under such circumstances,this is who you are!"it giggled.

"Shut up! SHUT UPP!! GO AWAY! LEAVE ME ALONE!!"I yelled back . "I can't,I am you and you are me! Now you've seen it all! They never liked you! They cut your wings because you are powerful, Emma!....It's time to shut it off!"

She said to me...I said to me and I did .As if I had lost full control of myself,more of ,I felt good,I felt light,I felt..... unstoppable.They want to see a monster,I'll give them a monster.

IN KAST'S ROOM

It was around 8,Kast woke up and saw his three siblings sleeping peacefully on the floor .The sight of Austin and Fiona in each others' arms brought back memories of Emma.Her scent,her tiny hands,the food obsession,her sneaking out but most of all her hugs and her voice .It's as close as he could ever get to her.

Kast 14,

I kicked Austin's butt to wake him up.He did. He sat up and shushed me,I wasn't even talking so I just rolled my eyes and turned back to make my bed ." Hey,how are you feeling today....now ..with all this going on" Austin asked tapping the others awake."Physicaly I feel better than yesterday.Is Emma almost leaving?" I asked looking outside the window." What are you talking about? Emma left yesterday and she didn't leave pretty!" He replied .Why hadn't he come to wake me up,I had clearly told him to fetch me when it was time ."why didn't you wake me? I asked you to wake me ,why didn't you?" I turned to him I could feel my heart racing." What are you talking about? You didn't say shit to me,we barely spoke or met yesterday!" He answered pulling Fiona behind him.I didn't believe him even a little.He liked games ,it wasn't a first .He had done the same for valentine's Day years ago,he asked Emma to be his valentine's after I told him I would ask her.Before I could grab him , Brianna came in between."not now boys please! We have more important things to think about." She said raising an eyebrow at Austin.I walked off to my dresser and pulled out a towel I needed to cool off, literally! .

I returned to find Austin dressing as well." Why wouldn't you wake me up though,that meant the world to me,bro!" I pleaded with him.

He took a sharp breathe and turned to me," I'm telling you,you didn't tell me anything.fir all we know you were knocked by the time we came to look for you not long after she left.""look....( He looked to see if the door was locked) something wierd is going on in this house and I don't like it You have 3 needle wounds on your neck and it clearly shows that you are being drugged by someone in this house! Reason.. I dunno! But, you need to stay alert buddy! Someone in this house has the wrong intentions and until we find out who,we keeping it amongst the 5 of us.Nobody else must know" he said turning to put his shirt back on.What was he talking about,being drugged?.When?

There was a knock on the door and Brianna popped her head in ,an adorable habit of hers." Thank Buddha you haven't killed each other yet" she laughed as she put my clean laundry on my bed ."Fiona and I are going pastry shopping and also we need new underwear,do you need anything?" I nodded no and so did Austin.She left.

FIONA AND BRIANNA

Fiona and Brianna wore their usual coats,it' was more of a norm and walked down the same streets Emma had weeks before.Eduardo was sweeping when he noticed their coats,he remembered Emma having one of them,they surely must know each other He dropped the broom and ran to the girls who then we're intoxicated by the scents of fresh donuts and noodles

" Hello there ladies!looking finer than the day I see."

" Very charming now move!" Fiona scolded pushing him aside .

"wait please,I have something that belongs to Emma!"

The girls froze,how did he know Emma!.They turned around in unison and smiled at him lightly before grabbing his biceps and walking him to an alley behind the café.

" How do you know Emma? Fiona asked pulling out a dagger from her basket.

" We met a few weeks ago She fell and and I helped her and she ran away then the next day she came back and we talked then she kissed me and......"

" Wait she kissed you?" Asked Brianna

" When was this mini hook-up?" Asked Fiona

" I don't recall the date but she came out at night and before she left she stole a newspaper which she hadn't bought and left." He replied.

" Was this the first time or the second?" Fiona asked.

" First!"

Brianna and Fiona went silent for a while .

"But wait ,you said she came back the next night and kissed you! Right?" Fiona asked.

"Yeah!" He said narrowing his eyes at them before searching his pocket." She dropped this in the café the second night! I've been waiting for her to come back but . .." hands it to Fiona .He excused himself before the girls could ask any more questions.

Brianna looked at it,it was a comb and not a kind Emma would own.

"The night of the news paper is the night of the murder.She was held captive the next day,she couldn't have come to see him"

"Then how else do you explain this Brianna?"

"What in the bloody hell is going on?"bri asked.

Fiona just shrugged her shoulders and looked at the café.

The girls returned a few hours before supper and told the boys about the boy they met and how he believes that he kissed Emma.

Kast sat there listening trying hard not to remember that night too He was out that night but it hadn't dawned to him until then that Emma had been in captivity that night.He looked at the others and paced around before telling them. It made matters more confusing.If Kast too had seen Emma, then who was in the chamber?
