System? - Chapter 3

 (System? - Chapter 3)

Waking up during the middle of the night I saw something that made me pass out from shock.

[Welcome, Berry specter. Your system is initializing…]

[Setting up interface…]

[Synchronizing data… Complete.]

TRUD

(A few minutes later)

I woke up with the words still in my face and put my hand on it but it fazed through.

[System successfully initialized.]

What the hell is this? In some Chinese stories they call it their golden finger I think? But we call it a cheat system or just system..I think I forgot some things over the years.

[Would you like a tutorial? Yes / No]

 I clicked No.

The screen dimmed momentarily before a soft, robotic voice echoed from my speakers.

["Welcome, Berry specter. You have been granted access to the System. Here, your potential will be unlocked, and your path defined. Let us begin."]

Well this is interesting, it looks like someone created the system for a reason but what is the reason?. When I stopped thinking I noticed that the system was now in the screen

Holy shi-. I just got a gacha system. And look—there's even a store.

This could be an amazing opportunity… but I needed to stay calm, assess the situation, and—

"Number 7, pull a ticket."

The words left my mouth before I even thought about them.

Nothing happened.

"Well, that was anticlimactic." I layed down on the bed. "I guess this system doesn't come with an AI or something."

Every good story had some kind of AI assistant—some overly helpful voice guiding the protagonist through their cheat system. But me? Nope. I got the silent treatment. What a bummer.

I sat there for a moment, feeling like a complete dumbass. My gaze flickered back to the screen, and I finally noticed something obvious.

I had to touch it to interact with it.

"…Wow." I ran a hand down my face. "I'm so dumb."

With a deep breath, I used my finger and hovered over the glowing number 6. I wasn't sure what to expect, but if this system had any mechanics, I needed to figure them out. Maybe there were pull rates, maybe there were different kinds of tickets—either way, I had to start somewhere.

"Well, here goes nothing," I muttered, clicking the number.

From this page alone, many of the questions I had about the system started to make sense. The Shop required something called gacha points, and there were specific ways to earn this currency—which, of course, meant grinding. God, I hate grinding in video games except in minecraft.

The system had tickets,Events, and something called world tickets. As soon as I read about those, my big inner gaming, fanfic-loving nerd self went into overdrive. A world ticket? If I got one of those, it meant I could travel to other worlds. Any world. The possibilities were endless.

I could feel my pulse quicken as I started piecing it all together. There were so many options to explore, so much to learn about this system. Sure, I could go through every menu and break down all the mechanics. I should do that. But I couldn't deny the excitement that was building up inside me.

The system had gifted me a starting set of tickets: 3 bronze, 2 silver, and 1 gold. A free freebie to get me hooked. And let's be real—my body was practically like a crack addict and I was itching to start pulling. Probably not a good reaction...It's not a good reaction. I decided to click on 4.

[How Do I Earn Gacha Points (GP)?

Gacha Points (GP) are the system's primary currency, used to purchase items, tickets, and unlock features in the shop. Here's how you can earn them:

Ways to Earn GP

1. Pulling TicketsEach ticket pull rewards a small amount of GP, depending on the ticket type:

Bronze Ticket: +1 GP

Silver Ticket: +2 GP

Gold Ticket: +5 GP

Platinum Ticket: +10 GP

World Ticket: +15 GP

2. Completing Missions in other worlds.

Daily Missions:Rewards: 1–3 GP per completed mission.Example Task: "Use a ticket today to earn 2 GP."

Weekly Missions:Rewards: 10–20 GP.

Example Task: "Pull 5 Rare or higher items this week."

Event Missions:Rewards: 50–100 GP (depending on difficulty).

Example Task: "Participate in an Event Gacha Draw 3 times."

3. Converting Duplicate Items (Available at Level 4)

Duplicate items can be automatically converted to GP:

Common Items: 1 GP

Uncommon Items: 3 GP

Rare Items: 10 GP

Epic Items: 25 GP

Legendary Items: 50 GP

Mystic Items: 100 GP

(P.S: This changed and now depends on the item…updated this after this chapter)

4. Pulling GP Directly

Rarely, GP can be pulled instead of an item.

GP Reward by Rarity Tier:

Common: 2–10 GP

Uncommon: 20–40 GP

Rare: 60–100 GP

Epic: 140–200 GP

Legendary: 300–500 GP

Mystic: 600–1,000 GP

Key Summary: Pull tickets, complete missions, and convert duplicate items to earn GP.High-tier tickets and missions yield the most GP.

GP can be used in the shop to buy tickets, items, or unlock features.

Earning Gacha Points didn't seem like it would be hard, but it was clear even to a dumb person like me that it was going to be incredibly time-consuming. The information I found laid it out plainly: there were plenty of ways to earn points, but the rewards were small, and opportunities to get a ton of points were pretty rare.

With that in mind, I decided to head back to the Help menu. Maybe Number 6 had something useful—something that could make earning tickets or points a little less…painful.

"Alright," I muttered, navigating back to the menu. "Let's see what you've got, Number 6 ."

[Help Topic: What Happens If I Don't Pull for a Week?

1. Ticket Stacking: Unused Tickets: Daily login rewards (e.g., Bronze Tickets) will continue to stack. No Maximum Tickets

2. Catch-Up Bonuses:If you return after a week of inactivity, the system rewards you for re-engaging:

Not logging in seemed like a smart idea—except when there was an event happening. Events could mean extra rewards or opportunities, and missing out on those would be a waste. But being AFK also meant I wouldn't be able to open packs during that time.

It was a trade-off. A frustrating one, but everything always comes with a negative.

I leaned back in my chair, rubbing my temples.

"Alright, System," I sighed. "You and me? We're gonna have a long, complicated relationship."

Still, I couldn't shake the excitement. This wasn't just some system.

This was my system.

I knew exactly what I wanted to do—use my cheat system.

Without wasting any more time, I navigated to the Gacha Pulls menu, my fingers practically twitching with anticipation. I had a handful of tickets, but for now, I decided to start small.

I selected one of my Bronze Tickets and took a deep breath.

"Alright," I muttered, hovering over the pull button. "Let's see what kind of luck I have today."

And with that, I clicked Roll.

A yo-yo appeared in my hands. It looked exactly like the one from the TV show it came from. The red casing with black spots, the smooth feel of the string—I couldn't help but admire it for a second.

Curious, I stood up from my bed and decided to test it out. I flicked my wrist, sending the yo-yo spinning downward, and with a quick tug, it snapped back up perfectly into my palm.

"Not bad," I muttered, a small smirk forming on my lips.

I tried a few simple tricks—Walk the Dog, Around the World, Rock the Baby—and to my surprise, I pulled them off with ease. It felt almost natural, like the yo-yo itself was guiding my movements. The Yo-Yo Mastery effect was definitely working.

Then, I decided to test the Retractable Cord. Holding the yo-yo tightly, I flicked it toward my desk, aiming for a nearby pencil. The string extended, wrapped around the pencil, and with a small tug, the item was pulled toward me.

"Okay, that's actually kinda cool."

Satisfied, I placed the yo-yo on my desk and turned back to the system screen.

"Alright," I said, rolling my shoulders. "Let's try another one."

I selected another Bronze Ticket and clicked Pull.

The gun materialized in my hands, and holy shit—was it heavy.

I nearly dropped it on the spot. The Hellsing ARMS .454 Casull Auto was massive, far bigger than any normal handgun should be. It had a sleek, jet-black finish gleaming under my bedroom light, the silver-plated bullets resting in the chamber reflecting faintly. The sheer length of the barrel made it look more like a hand cannon than a pistol. The engraving on the side read "Hellsing ARMS .454 Casull Auto", and the weight of it alone sent a chill down my spine.

OH HELL NO. How the hell was I supposed to use this?! This thing was built for a supernatural vampire-hunting badass motherfucker, not a middle schooler! If I even tried firing this, my arm would probably snap like a twig!

I took a deep breath, gripping the gun carefully before glancing around my room. Okay. No one comes in here except the maids, and even then, only when cleaning. As long as I kept it hidden, there was no way anyone would find out. I just needed a good spot to stash it.

I walked into my massive closet, lined with jackets, sweaters, and various high-end clothing. My Aztec Carhartt jacket hung neatly on a rack—one of my favorites to wear some days. Oddly some big-name companies like Apple, Microsoft, and Android still existed in this world, which was oddly comforting.

After a moment of hesitation, I grabbed a chair, climbed up, and placed the gun on the very top shelf of my closet, wedging it behind some storage boxes. Out of sight, out of mind.

Was it irresponsible? Absolutely. But the chances of me pulling another one of these were insanely low, and actually buying another would take forever. Better have it than not have it and need it. For now, it was better to leave it hidden and pretend it didn't exist. If anyone ever found it, I could just say I stumbled across it. I mean, who the hell would believe a middle schooler bought a .454 Casull handgun?

Sighing, I dusted my hands off and made my way back to my bed. The screen on my face was still glowing, the system patiently waiting for my next action.

"Alright," I muttered, cracking my knuckles. "Let's roll another Bronze Ticket."

With a deep breath, I hovered over the pull button and clicked Pull once again.

This time I got a skill which was…interesting. This time I felt my body change by becoming stronger..faster.

Not by a ton but I could feel it. In the item description there was no chakra and it makes sense since it focuses on the body reactions only. I do not need skills but would be useful when I travel to another world.

A sudden rush of energy coursed through my body as the skill activated. Unlike an item, this one didn't appear in my hands—it sank into me. I could feel my muscles subtly tense, my body adjusting to something new.

I flexed my fingers, noticing a strange lightness in my movements. My breathing felt smoother, my heartbeat more controlled. There was a slight shift in my perception, almost like my surroundings had become sharper, clearer. Faster.

I took a step back and threw a quick jab into the air. It wasn't a huge improvement, but there was definitely a slight difference. My reaction speed had increased, and my body responded a fraction of a second quicker than before. Not on a superhuman level—this wasn't like suddenly gaining Sharingan-level reflexes—but it was there.

The description didn't mention chakra, which made sense since this skill focused purely on body reactions. No flashy ninjutsu, no supernatural power-ups—just raw speed and instinct.

Not exactly what I was looking for, but…hey not bad.

This would be extremely useful if I ever ended up in a combat-heavy world. Even in my current life, avoiding accidents or reacting faster in day-to-day scenarios could be handy. The locked Chakra Adaptation part intrigued me. Did that mean I could evolve this skill if I trained enough or when I unlocked chakra? Let's put a pin in that.

I cracked my neck and shook off the lingering tingling sensation.

"Alright, that was interesting," I muttered, bringing my attention back to the system screen. Bronze done now this time, it was a Silver Tickets

I hovered my cursor over the glowing silver icon, my anticipation building again.

"Let's see what kind of luck I have this time," I said, clicking Pull.
