The snow in the underground was unforgiving, Sans thought. The snow was harsh, and usually most monsters would freeze over in the conditions.
Sans knew that, sadly, as it had happened to many monsters. They have lost brothers, sisters, fathers, and mothers.
Often times they would face famine if it wasn't for King Asgore.
Sans wondered if there couldn't be an end to such a storm in the underground.
The snow crunched under the feline creatures feat that Sans had been riding on. As a Royal Gaurd, specifically Judge, he usually makes rounds around the forrest- where it is most dangerous.
It was also where he would meet Papyrus and their human companion.
"Ah... Papyrus." Sans unsummoned the large, boney feline a few meters away to avoud detection. He began to walk over, the snow making that same crunch beneath his shoes.
"Brother. Good morning. I'm teaching the human some puzzles." Papyrus looked over, adorned in armor and layers of warm clothing.
"Yes! It's certainly entertaining, Sans! Papyrus is amazing." The human smiled, currently drawing in the snow with a stick.
"It is, yes." Sans approached, standing between Papyrus and the human as they worked. "Well? Who's winning?" Sans inquired, glancing between the two from beneath the veil that concealed his sockets.
"Papyrus." The human frowned, glancing over to Papyrus' work in the snow.
"Ah. I see. Well, tough luck, kiddo." Sans smirked, laughing at the human's misfortune at the game. He turned around, eventually walking away from the pair.
"Papyrus, Camaline- be home before twevle. I'll go make us lunch." Sans spoke, swiftly making pace through the forest.
Once he was out of sight, he teleported back to their shared livingspace in Snowdin, their house- the only warm place they had.
Sans unlocked the door with the house key, walking inside and wandering through the area before finding his way to the kitchen.
It was warm, so warm. Warmer than usual, but... it was welcomed.

Currently, after eating lunch, Papyrus had brought over friends to play cards. Mettaton, himself, Papyrus, and Undyne. Of course, the human, Camaline, was on the couch talking to someone that didn't appear to be there.
Sans knew someone was there, however.
He could sense it.
Sans sighed, trying to focus on the card game in front of him. They were playing on the rounded table, sitting together with the cards front and center.
It was normal, a normal evening.
Just cards.
It was then he was moving to place down an ace of spades- a winning card, for sure.
"Sans!"
It was then he looked upwards, the card falling out between his phalanges. It was then Sans saw Undyne lanching herself over the table towards him. The table rocked in his direction, his chair falling back.
Undyne's hand reached outwards, pushing Sans off of the falling chair.
"Undyne-" Sans whispered, falling backwards. The last thing he saw was a large chunk of roof falling from above before his skull hit the ground.
When Sans managed to open his sockets, he slowly sat up, being met with Undyne's dead, cold gaze.
The cold was leaking through the broken ceiling, snow already beginning to fall through without fail.
Undyne was crushed by the tiles, her limbs caught in uncomfortable looking posistions. But, Sans know the real thing that had done her in was the chair- facing lightly upward. One of the front chair legs had ran through her neck where it met her lower jaw, piercing through her left eye at the angle.
A gruesome sight, surely. Sans could see the back of her eye sticking and dripping from the leg.
Sans felt himself gag, turning away as he faintly heard the sound of her disintegrating into dust.
He turned back, her soul floating momentarily. Sans had scrambled over, weakly taking it into his metacarpal and crushing it.
He sighed shakily, tears beginning to brim from the corners of his sockets as he began to register what had happened.
What of Papyrus? Camaline? Mettaton?
He wobbly stood up, looking at the large piece of rubble above the dust that used to be Undyne's body.
It crushed about half the table- the seat metatton was on.
"Shit." Sans whispered, going around the large rubble and seeing a crushed arm that seems to have been detached.
Sans quickly looked around again before hearing the ceiling begin to make another rumbling sound. No time to worry about it.
He knew Papyrus was alive- surely. No chance he was dead. His brother was strong, right...?
He was Papyrus- Vice Captain of the Royal Guard!
He knew the human would be okay, after all. They always somehow came back no matter what.
They would find him! They would come back no matter what.

Sans kept running through the snow as the house collapsed. He could feel it now, a rumbling in the floor as if it were a large scale earthquake.
Other houses were beginning to collapse, he could see Grilby's already beginning to crumble.
"Where is everyone?!" Sans yelled out into the cold air, breathing heavily as he tried searching around the area.
"Goddamn it...!" Sans gasped, tripping over a rock concealed by the snow. He tried standing up, but then was caught off guard as the ground beneath him crumbled.
Crumbled?
Sans gasped before letting out a scream as he fell into the darkness below. He shut his eyes, expecting to hit something, but somehow it never came. When he reopened his sockets, somehow it was as if a hole had opened up and sucked everything near and dear to him inside.
He could see the snow falling with him- bits of rock and dust. Dust, he figured, were from other monsters.
"Shit...!" Sans whispered, before being hit in the skull by a few large rocks before he could have time to react.
The world was gone- and it was the only thing Sans could think off before he lost consciousness in the endless void he was falling into.
