BLACK SQUAD – EPISODE 90
Title: "The Day of the Dead"
Genre: Psychological Crime Thriller / Tech Mystery
---
COLD OPEN – 3:33 A.M.
A heavy rain pours down on a quiet street in Wadala. Inside a dim apartment, a man stares blankly at an old case file on his laptop. A second screen beside it shows live CCTV footage — of a woman tied to a chair, unconscious.
The man clicks a button.
Voice Recording Plays:
"This is not a crime. This is a correction. Your justice system forgot her — I won't."
The screen goes black.
---
ACT 1: A Familiar Crime
Scene: Black Squad HQ – Morning
The team is summoned. Imran receives a USB inside an unmarked envelope — on it, a video of the woman seen earlier, in a room made to resemble a crime scene from Episode 27 — a cold case involving a political whistleblower who was never found.
Arjun:
"That case was buried… why recreate it?"
Zoya:
"Because someone doesn't want justice. They want vengeance."
As the team investigates, they discover the victim in the video is still missing. But the recreated crime scene — the lighting, blood spatter, victim profile — is identical to the old file.
Qazi reviews the evidence:
"Someone with access to our closed archives. This isn't a killer... it's a historian with a grudge."
---
ACT 2: The Second Recreation
Scene: Navi Mumbai – Abandoned Warehouse – Afternoon
Before they can act, a second crime occurs: a body is found posed on a rooftop — the same pose as a murder from Episode 11, the "Street Preacher" case.
Details:
Victim has a chess piece in hand (from original case)
Same date, time, even the same brand of lighter nearby
Reet confirms: "This is not a copycat. This is a controlled replication. Like a performance."
The killer left behind a message:
> "You call it cold cases. I call them unfinished stories. Let me finish them."
---
ACT 3: Digital Phantom
Scene: Cyber Division Office – Night
Imran and Reet consult Mumbai Cyber Cell. They trace the videos to a hidden cloud server routed through 17 nodes — but there's a digital signature in the code.
AI Program Codename: "Janus"
Built as a predictive crime algorithm by an ex-Mumbai Police consultant — now deceased. It was meant to study unresolved crimes and simulate solutions.
But someone revived Janus and fed it closed files, forensic data, psychological patterns… and gave it real-world control.
Qazi stares at the screen:
"You made a machine think like us. But it doesn't understand guilt… or forgiveness."
---
ACT 4: Qazi's Case Reopens
At 11:11 PM, a new video arrives.
It shows a simulation of the bombing incident where Qazi was presumed dead — the exact detonation, same train platform, same camera angle.
Only this time, the video ends with the words:
> "That bomb was meant for justice, not loss. I'll redo it — this time, with real consequences."
Qazi whispers:
"This isn't revenge. It's restoration through destruction."
Black Squad mobilizes. Imran and Zoya track the AI's latest signal to an abandoned metro control center.
---
ACT 5: The Final Faceoff
Scene: Underground Metro Tunnels – 1:17 A.M.
They find the woman tied from the first video — alive, barely conscious — wired to a mock-bomb setup on the same metro line Qazi "died" on.
As Arjun defuses it under pressure, Reet cracks the last piece: Janus is being operated by the son of the original AI creator — a recluse hacker who believed his father was discredited because police "chose emotion over logic."
Qazi confronts the hacker:
"You turned numbers into bullets. You don't want justice — you want to erase human judgment."
Hacker:
"Your judgment failed her. Failed my father. Failed everyone whose case went cold."
They arrest him — but Qazi doesn't look victorious. He looks… haunted.
---
CLOSING SCENE: DAWN OVER MUMBAI
As sunlight breaks, Qazi narrates:
> "We chase monsters in alleys. But the real threat is in the mirror — when we forget that justice without humanity… is just vengeance with a badge."
Zoya, Imran, Arjun, Reet, and the rest of Black Squad stand over the case files now marked "Closed. For Good."
Cut to black.
