Chapter 110: The Monster That Shouldn’t Exist

Bella had read about them.

Had heard the old stories from elders when she was a child.

A Hollow One.

A wolf that had been twisted beyond recognition, something that no longer belonged to the living, but couldn't die.

A creature that had existed before the first packs.

Something that fed on more than just flesh.

It fed on souls.

"That's impossible," Bella said, forcing herself to think. To breathe.

"The Hollow Ones were wiped out centuries ago. If one was still alive, we would have—"

She stopped.

Because she had seen it.

It had watched her from the trees.

Had smiled.

And now?

It had left them a warning in blood.

Dante turned to her, his blue eyes hard, unrelenting.

"Do you feel it?" he asked quietly.

Bella's chest tightened.

She did.

Deep inside.

Like a thread had been pulled too tight.

Like something was whispering beneath her skin.

It wasn't like the bond she had with Dante.

It was colder. Wrong. Rotten.

Because this wasn't a war between packs.

It wasn't about territory or power.

This was something worse.

Something that had been buried long before any of them were born.

And now?

It had come back.

And it wanted her.
